Olin hotelliin erittäin tyytyväinen. Perheen omistama pieni hotelli, jossa oli erittäin ystävällinen palvelu, ja vielä lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä keskustasta, rauhallisella kadulla, oli juri sitä mitä halusimme.

Great breafast
"Close to main station and Cathedral"
The hotel is just a very short walk from the main station so very convenient if arriving by train. The U-Bahn is also just round the corner. When I arrived I went to the wrong hotel as there are 2 the same side of the station exit, both called Grand City... The other one is a Great Western and apparently a lot of people make the same mistake!! The hotel […] has a small bar area next to reception and the restaurant only serves breakfast which is very good quality and has a large selection of hot food, continental meats, cheeses, salads, yoghurts, pastries, breads and cereals... coffee, various teas and juices too.. didn't need lunch! Ask for a room at the back as the 1st room I had was at the front and quite noisy from road traffic, people leaving bars and some station noise. Very comfortable and good selection of T,C and chocolate on the kettle tray. All staff are very helpful and friendly, some tourist info in reception along with a very good local map. Perfect location as very close to train station and the Dom cathedral. Breakfast was excellent and would stay here again.
"Hotel.com confusing"
I was looking for a hotel in Dusseldorf, and this one was listed. We didn't realize until after the booking that it was in Cologne. While the two cities are close, they are not the same and this was annoying and inconvenient.

"Unhelpful Hotel Reception Staff"
Reception staff at the hotel were not very helpful as we got stuck in Germany by the snow .We had to ask the taxi driver we got if the Airport was open as the reception lady just said she did not know .We asked if we could ring but could not get through too busy.In the end we got to the Airport and the Lufthansa staff were superb they put us up at Holiday […] Inn near Airport till we got a flight home. We did not get into Heathrow but make it to Stanstead but at least we got got after a very long day on Monday. Lisätietoja

"Good location and Breakfast but bad smell"
Amazing breakfast and good access to the main train station and the fairgrounds. However my room had mold on the wall and the entire hotels seemed to have a smell of burnt flesh for some reason. It was tolerable but not what I expected for a 4 star hotel.

It was a little hard to find the hotel from the train but i think thats mainly because there was construction around the train station. The room was nice, but i don't really have anything positive to say about the staff. Right near the river Rhein, where theres lots of awesome food stands. Close to der Dom as well.
"Needs air conditioning"
The staff was very friendly. The rooms were larger than most hotels we used in Germany, but the lack of air conditioning made it very uncomfortable. Apparently, air conditioning is a rarity in Germany, so I guess I can't fault them that much. Also, every room had a refrigerator, but none of them worked. When we asked the staff, they said something like […] "some are broken, but won't be fixed because it's not a requirement of the room". Later, we found out that none of them worked... no idea why. The buffet breakfast (included with room for us) was quite good. Parking cost was typical for city areas. At the time we stayed, there was alot of construction right outside, so the surrounding area wasn't great. It's quite close to the Dom though, so it's a pretty good location. Lisätietoja

"Das Hotel liegt zentral."
Die Betten waren alt, man spürte die Feder in der Matraze. Das Frühstückbuffet war super.
"extrem laut, schlaflose Nächte"
Hotel liegt genau gegenüber dem Hauptbahnhof und dem Dom. Fenster sind leider undicht und bis 12 Uhr Nachts und morgens ab 5.30 Uhr ist ein Schlafen selbst mit Gehörschutz nicht möglich. Jede Durchsage welcher ICE einfährt ist klar und deutlich im Zimmer (9.Stock) hörbar... Nicht empfehlenswert!

"Slidt dyrt hotel i Køln"
Ringe hotel. Minibar indh. 2 vand og en fl. appelsinsaft. Anvist rygerværelse. Tunge dårlige dyner. Løbebåndet kunne ikke bruges(direkte farligt) Defekt radiator. Koldt værelse.
"Mooi gelegen in het centrum."
Ik ben tevreden over het hotel, het personeel is erg vriendelijk, bij het ontbijt werd zelfs mijn kopje koffie ingeschonken. Ook de ligging is ideaal, dichtbij het station en het centrum. De kamer is schoon en netjes en hoewel dicht bij het station heb ik heerlijk kunnen slapen. Een minpuntje is het bed, het is aan de stijve kant en ook miste ik een […] instopstrook van de hoes. "Praktisches Hotel für Reisende"
Das Grand City Hotel liegt direkt hinter dem Hauptbahnhof und bietet sich für eine angenehme Übernachtung zwischen zwei Zügen an. Das Zimmer war trotzdem ruhig und für Kölner Verhältnisse überraschend sauber, das Hotel allgemein gepflegt. Ein leckeres Frühstücksbuffet rundet das gute Gesamtbild ab. "Grand City Hotel; dicht bij de Keulse Dom"
Het Grand City Hotel Köln Zentrum, ligt dicht bij de Keulse dom en de oude binnenstad. Prima hotel met goed verzorgd ontbijt. Enige minpunt van het hotel is, dat bij warm weer ook de temperatuur op de kamers oploopt. Er is geen airconditioning aanwezig.

"Helpfull personell"
Very serviceminded and freindly personell at the reception. We were supposed to watch a footbollmatch in Leverkusen, But when were there we saw that the match was moved to the day after. We have been told that it is usual in Bundesleage. The problem was that we booked the tickets (even fligt etc) one month before. Een eenvoudig hotel. Prima bedden. Het was warm en er was alleen een staande ventilator. Dat is niet meer van deze tijd.
