Miellyttävä pieni hotelli kohtuuhintaan. Huone oli valoisa, avara, siisti, kaikki toimi hyvin. Paras mannermainen aamiainen niistä hotelleista, missä ollaan tällä matkalla oltu: tavanomaisen "pulla-aamiaisen" lisäksi oli erilaisia pikapuurohiutaleita, jogurttia sekä hedelmiä.

Hinta-laatusuhde oli mielestäni kohdallaan. Tämänhintaiselta hotellilta ei tietenkään voi odottaa viiden tähden laatua, mutta huone olis siisti ja riittävän tilava, ja sijainti oli erinomainen.

Hotelli sijaitsi kivalla pienemmällä paikkakunnalla noin 20 minuutin ajomatkan päästä SF:n downtownista. Autolla oli kätevä liikkua (hotellissa ilmainen parkkipaikka!). Mutta myös vajaan 2 km:n päästä kulkevalla BART:llakin pääsee helposti SF:n keskustaan. Hotelli oli todella siisti ja hyväkuntoinen. Myös hintaan sisältyvä aamiainen oli kattava (tarjolla mm. puuroa, hedelmiä, jogurttia). Hotellin henkilökunta oli hyvin ystävällistä. Suosittelen hotellia etenkin San Franciscon automatkaajille!

Pienvenesatamassa sijaitseva mielenkiintoinen hotelli. Ystävällinen henkilökunta, hyvä aamiainen ja siistit tilat. Pikku miinukset äänekkäästä ilmastointilaitteesta ja kylttien vähyydestä käytävillä(hotelli rakennettu vaakaan, eli suunnistaminen huoneesta respan hankalaa).

Tämä hotelli on erittäin hiljainen. Se sopii hyvin rentoutumiseen ennen lentoa tai lennon jälkeen. Myöhäinen check-out ei ollut ongelma ja ilmainen bussi vei lentokentälle hetkessä. Huone oli todella avara, siisti ja kaikin puolin mukava. Ennen pitkää kotimatkaa oli virkistävää käydä pitkällä aamukävelyllä pitkin kävelyreittiä venesatamassa. Mitään muuta hotellin lähistöllä ei sitten olekaan. Hotellin ravintola ja baari olivat yllättävän hyvät. Ilmainen ja nopea wifi toimi siellä ja huoneissa. Hotelli vaikuttaa hyvältä tukikohdalta automatkailijalle, joka haluaa tehdä tutkia San Franciscon aluetta. Siellä on paljon ilmaista pysäköintitilaa ja hyvät yhteydet joka suuntaan.
"If you need a hooker this is your place"
Really bad area, the first night we were there there was some guy driving down the road screaming how he wanted a hooker and couldn't wait to find one. Inside most of the furniture looked like it had been through a war. "Improved !"
I stayed at this hotel 7 years ago and found it to be rather old and unkempt. But coming back to it I found the hotel to be very improved. Not only the rooms but the cleanliness of the hotel. And lets not forget the staff. All that we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. Still the neighborhood isn't the greatest but I felt safe in the […] hotel and surrounding area. "Renoir Hotel San Fran"
The hotel is right by a BART station and is centrally located, making it very convenient. However, be aware that it is not in the best area of town from a safety perspective. Crime is high in the area and don't be surprised if there are people outside the hotel yelling in the street at night.
"Perfect situation & quality staff"
The hotel is situated at Market street, which is the perfect place to get around (trolley, bus, walking) You have walking distance to all Turist Traps. The staff are of high quality, and they are fluently in several languages. All is perfect...

"an extremely poor quality of a hotel"
an extremely poor quality of a hotel.... I would not stay here again because of lack amenities, when booking this hotel I was under the impression it would be a historical building in a historical part of town, and thought wow what a great place to stay. Was I mistaking when the said historical they meant old and decrepit in a rundown part of town, […] the homeless were peeing and sleeping around the hotel. The staff were not very helpful or friendly, the rooms were very small they had no heat no frig, and no microwaves. So when we went out to eat one night to a very expensive restaurant and there was no were to keep our leftovers. Oh and Parking was awful and very restricted, the hotel wanted to charge us 27.00 dollars a night for them to park our vehicle, they tried to make it look like it was the best way to handle the parking issues in the city. They tried to take advantage of the fact we were not from the area. Oh and what hotel charges for coffee this one does, there was no continental breakfast and I have to say it again they charged for coffee. They charged for internet also. "Very convenient"
I had business to handle at the courthouse and it was an easy 3 blocks away. Convenient to downtown theatre, museum, shops. "Scary neighborhood!"
My friend and I recently stayed at the renoir, our booking was for 4 nights however we moved to the Sheraton in fishermans wharf as the neighbourhood was horrifying! Alot of crime let me just say. The restaraunts are average, showdogs is decent though, and homeless people frequently come in and ask for money or take your food... Not recommended at the […] staff were rude and asked too many personal questions. "Great place to see the city on a budget"
For the price, you can't find a better hotel in the city. The place was clean, more than could be said for a lot of hotels that cost the same. The rooms were small but totally adequate for us, since we spent most of the days out and about. It's a small price to pay for being so close to BART, the cable cars, Union Station, and dozens of MUNI bus stops. "The Renoir 2011 Jan"
Was a nice reception and rooms were decent sized and cleaned daily. Was enough to suit or needs for a trip to the city. Although our only complaints would be the rooms were cold and the corridors had a somewhat strange smell, although this could notbe smelt inside your rooms. To the hotels credit they were in the process of re-laying areas of the hotel […] and re-building the main entrance for refurbishment. "Gross Neighborhood; Old Hotel Needs Updating"
After emerging from the BART station at Civic Center, I was uncomfortable with the night scene at the Tenderloin. The hotel itself is over 100 years old, and in dire need of updating. The matress was of the poorest quality imaginable, and my morning shower was luke-warm. Service staff was friendly, but way too many negatives for me to recommend. Once I finally managed to get to sleep (loud people in the streets, train going by periodically, traffic, etc) I was awakened to the release of drunken revelers from the strip club at 2AM. "Nice hotel in scketchy area"
I think the Renoir is a great hotel. I really enjoy my stay there whenever I book a room there. The surrounding area is not for the faint-at-heart insofar as it is very much inhabited by people in varying modalities of mental-illness, drug-addiction, and homelessness. I've never had any trouble in this area, as it appears none of these folks are "looking" […] for trouble. That said, it doesn't feel entirely safe walking to and from BART at 1am to the Renoir. "Bad neighborhood- be careful at Renoir!"
I thought we were staying in a safer area. I was afraid to walk around the " hood". Very noisy, very many homeless people. Hotel was run down and needed a HUGE face lift. Staff were nice. 1 star or 2 star at best.

"It fit the bill perfectly...."
For the money, the Renoir Hotel was a perfect place for me to stay. Right on Market Street, near every means of the city's transportation available, you can head out in any direction on foot, or rail. I was out early in the morning, and came back late in the evening, so it was truly just a place to hang my hat. The bed was comfortable, the hot water, […] was indeed, hot, so I could ask for nothing more. The neighborhood could be a bit noisy at night, but I spent the two previous days in a 4 Star Hotel, and the hallways late at night were just as loud. Interesting 1902 Flat Iron Building. Plenty of faded glory. Lots of "strange" characters in the surrounding streets, but not causing any problems. Early morning noise caused by the vintage trams on Market Street. Carpet in entrance foyer needs removing and burning. Someting more suitable for very heavy footfall needs to be fitted. "A great stay for a getaway"
The hotel was lovely, the staff very friendly. People complain too much about the neighborhood, but the reality is that all of SF suffers with debauchery and homelessness. A great location, comfortable, very cheap, what else could one ask for?

I think it was a nice hotel and it had a very good service but it was quit old and the room was extremly cold. We had to ask for extra blankets, but it wasn't enough. The location was nice very close to union square, but it was in the tenderloin so there will be a lot of homeless but they don't bother you if don't bother them. I could not sleep well in this hotel because of noises outside. Had to resort to valet parking for the same reason. The staff was going but overall it is not worth the money

"Renoir - A great value in downtown SF"
A 100 year-old flatiron building strategically located on Market Street in downtown SF. Yeah, the neighborhoods close by may be a little rough, but the hotel is comfortable, clean and safe. Even with its old styling and decor it worked out well. And the price is great.
"Motel 6 is better value."
This hotel should only charge 50 buck because the place was run down. I was afraid to take of my shoes because the carpet looked old and dirty. Bathroom remind me of some old road side cheap motel. There was only a pedistool sink. Werid people loitering around the hotel all day made me feel unconfortable going out and walking around.

"Convenient Location for the Money"
I was able to walk at all hours in multiple directions from the Renoir Hotel. The homeless may make some people uneasy but not one bothered me as I went to and from. The room was simple but fine for the money. The rate would have to skyrocket with a comprehensive renovation.

"Good Room"
The hotel was rather nice given the part of town its in. It was very elegant looking but still was affordable(as long as booked online). Front desk manager at night was not very welcoming though.The rest of the staff was great. I would stay again
"Best vintage hotel"
I think what people need to keep in mind is that the Renoir Hotel is a historical vintage hotel. I overlook the bums and shit like that because just a few blocks away is the best shops ever. Appreciate the fact that this hotel has preserved many of it's original fetures. I thank the bar owner and bartenders at the bar connected to the Renoir. They took […] my friend and I in and made us feel at home in San Francisco. That was one of the dumbest times ever ..... And it could not have been done without the two cutest female bartenders. Thanks to the guys working there too!!!!! The DJ rocked. I think I owe you guys some cash though. I will be back.! So pull out what you want from the hotel. For a quick one night stay, this is a inexpensive option, but definitely don't expect too much. For what you pay, the experience is adequate or above.
"Ridiculous price to park"
The hotel overall was not that bad, but $30 for valet parking when we checked in at 7:30 at night and had to have the car out by noon, $30 was ridiculous to pay.

When I read that this hotel was renovated in 2008, I expected updated clean rooms. What I got was a room where they'd painted the tub with the incorrect paint so that it was peeling. 昔からの建物を利用したホテル。市街地中心部でどこに行くにも必要なメトロの駅に近いのが利点。 昔からの建物のため、施設の古さは否めないが、部屋内でWi-Fiも(有料で)利用できるし、寝泊り中心なら問題ないと思います。 周辺の立地環境の点では、すぐそばに現地の人も夜は歩かないようなエリアはあるので注意が必要です。

"Schade wegen der Umgebung"
Das Hotel war ok entspricht dem Preis Leistungs Verhältnis.Leider ist die Umgebung von sehr vielen Obdachlosen umgeben.Mir wurde auch vor Orts geraten die Gegend eine Strasse weiter oben unbedingt zu meiden da es sehr gefährlich sei.Ein Block weiter unten ist es zwar schon besser aber einer eher ängstlichen Person würde ich von einem Besuch im Hotel […] Renoir abraten. Hotellet er fint - og ligger meget centralt i SF - måske så centralt at alle hjemløse samles i nærheden - men de generede os ikke. Servicen var rimelig - selvom vi havde lidt besvær med at forklare dem at vi havde betalt for parkering - men alt for plads. Lidt specielt var Little Joes restaurant hvor vi fik morgenmad.
