our stay was lovely. but i strongly feel that for a big hotal like the marriott its wrong to charge 10.00 pounds each to park in there carpark.

Lovely hotel for a relaxing weeekend. Breakfast and room service food fantastic. Only small problem was when no twin rooms were available reception questioned how much I had paid for room insisting I had received an upgrade when the room I was in was in fact what I had paid for (except it was a double!)

Wonderful locations and a lovely hotel we also really liked the swimming pool with sea views .The bedroom 302 had a sea view,but it was quite small with a double bed,( not king size) .We talked to the manager of the day and she was very kind and considerate explaining that the hotel was full and very busy. Me & my wife went for a short weekend away to Bournmouthe. It was our first time there and we Not disappointed, the hotel was great and close to centerly located. Few steps to the beach, 2 streets to the town centre, the breakfast was beautiful every day morning in the hotel. Over all really can't wait to go again.

Good facilities but lots of extras on to the bill which are a bit of a try on. Not convinced they have got the management of the hotel quote right at the moment. Long waiting times at reception.

Other reviewers have commented about the poor check-in procedures at this hotel and I have to agree. First I was going to be charged a room deposit for a booking I had paid in full in advance, and then when I pointed out the error, it took 25 minutes to correct before I finally got my room key. While I'm on the downside, it took ages to get an answer […] when I called room service at about 9pm. But don't let that put you off - otherwise I could not fault the hotel: friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room (sea view) and excellent restaurant. Lisätietoja

Staff very efficient and friendly nothing to much trouble,will order in disabled equipment for your use. Very happy with room clean and all equipment worked.Lovely swimming pools, Treatment room very basic did not get the feel good factor. Food good and expensive. Car parking a problem. enjoyed every moment.

I chose this hotel to because it is very close to the location of a family wedding. I had stayed there a number of times in the past – although that was some decades ago. Staff were helpful and courteous and everything about the hotel was fine until we returned to our room late at night after the wedding. We then found our room was situated too close […] to where an extremely noisy function was taking place and the noise was horrible. The problem is that the structure includes suspended wooden floors and unless soundproofing is first class you end up with both the noise and the vibration of the base beat from the music. This is known to be one of the most unpleasant and distressful forms of noise pollution. I complained and the volume was turned down a little but it did not really help. When the function finally ended the people took a while to leave and were very noisy. As far as I am aware they were not asked to be quiet by hotel staff. (If they were asked they certainly took no notice.) Marriot operate across the world and must have enough expertise to deal effectively with problems like this. My feeling is that Marriot had invested too little in setting up and sound insulating their function rooms – knowing full well what the consequences would be. I would happily have left the hotel and slept in the car in a layby in the countryside but my car was boxed-in by several cars. I am sure the cars could have been moved but that it would have taken a while to extricate my car no matter how efficiently it might have been managed. It is not acceptable to charge £10.00 per night and then have to faff about while cars are manoeuvred in order to be able to simply drive away. My view is that the on-site car park is overpriced and inadequate. We had looked forward to a refreshing swim in the pool in the morning but felt too jaded after a lousy night. The hotel was in a great location, good staff, lovely warm pools inside and out. The next time I stay in Bournmouth I will stay at the Marriott.

Great location (try and get a sea view) and most staff are friendly. But check in and out is not a welcoming experience and I remember why I don't choose Marriott for business. They clearly have a fair bit of grief about pre-charging cards and the whole thing is tense. And charging £15 a day for broadband COME ON - these days that's like charging […] extra for hot water! Excellent Hotel in the main building - sadly we were in an 'annexe' across the car park (out of the main buidling - thankfully we missed the rain!!). Room was very good apart from a cracked basin in the bathroom, however it was very comfortable and there was no noise. The staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. Overall very good.

This hotel is in an excellent location close to the beaches and city centre with beautiful views across the sea. First class hotel with friendly staff and A1 service.

Excellent service. Highly recommended. Hotel should include other services such as snooker table/pool table, TT table, night club and spa/masaage services as it provides in some other cities

pro's : Lovely hotel Great breakfast Great staff Nice pool/gym Con's charge for parking very small carpark that is shared with the health club - don't drive your car you my lose your space and then have pay in a public car park no free internet bottled water in room had a charge was woken up at 7.45 by a group of people drinking coffee in corridor […] that were using the purbeck suite if your here to relax at check in make sure your room isn't near a corporate event. The concierge, reception and in house service couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable and easy.....the room was fantastic and the king size a complete dream. The food and quality was superb and attention to detail to make you feel truly special completely made it just great.
