Hotel Camino Real Managua - Managua

This hotel is very conveniently located near the airport, a great place for relaxing by the pool while waiting for an ealry flight for example. We spent the first and the last night of our holiday in Nicaragua here, and were very pleased with everything. The pool is nice and big and the pool area is comfortable with sun loungers. The food was good, […] though food and drinks were a little pricey compared to other places in Nicaragua, but on the other hand, this is a quality airport hotel. The breakfast was great! Reception, bar and restaurant personnel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated far from the city centre, so if you want to see a little more of Managua, maybe this is not your place. It was a perfect stay in hotel camino real. We used the pool area. The breakfast was greatand the dinner too. I'll think we'll come back.

A beautiful, peaceful environment with great breakfast, best coffee I ever had and wonderful friendly staff. Very close to the airport and minutes from downtown Managua. Beds way too hard, I would not have been able to sleep on the bed if I did not have a blow up pool air mattress with me.

The Camino Real is very convenient to the airport and made catching an early morning flight out easy.

after 6 P.M. and after 6.30 a.m. the internet got really slow and about 90 % of the time, I got disconnected. Seems that the sistem cannot get allong with too many computers connected. During my recent stay I was frustrated trying to reach the airlines about a flight change. The concierge went out of his way to help me and did get in touch with the airline for me. Can't thank them enough. Convenience of shuttle to and from the airport, breakfast etc was top notch.

Giant place, but clean and nice. Food in the restaurant was just OK, but the breakfast buffet was amazing. Some lamps didn't work, and I didn't like that the AC would not stay on when I left the room, but those are small nits. The place is great.

The hotel was perfect for what I wanted - only 2 minutes from the airport with free shuttle. There's a decent pool and the rooms are adequate plus have free wifi. There's a casino attached but I never visited. I did eat at the restaurant which was fine but not exceptional. I got a taxi to a nearby supermarket to stock up on the local Flor de Canya, […] and it cost me $14 return which seemed over priced but I think that's standard for taxis from such hotels. Quality airport area hotel. Long ride to downtown. High security taxi drivers stay with you and don't leave you out of their sight....low cost for the service.?

very impressive, at a afordable price

The staff were so helpful, we had a 3am check in, a taxi was sent to the airport for us. Which was so reassuring when arriving in an unfamiliar country. The Desk staff were very accomodating and the breakfast staff so professional and courteous. Thank you for a great stay we will return soon!

Great place to stay before your flight out of Managua. Food was good, room was clean and comfortable, free shuttle to airport. Good room rates.

The hotel is ok. The rooms are getting a bit old. For instance the bathrooms look a bit worn out and the TVs are pretty old. Service was fine. You feel like in a hotel not "at home", which is ok if you are planning to spend one or two nights. The hotel has a great location near the airport, but a bit far from town. I stayed there twice and only overnight. The […] restaurant is ok. Breakfast buffe is great, however the menu for dinner could have been a bit more varied. If you are vegetarian plan with eating dinner in town because there are no options. For a hotel in this class one would expect to find a bit more. I most say, after spending a lot of time in hotels, that Camino Real Managua was an exelent choice of stay, from the friendly employees to food and all services, very clean, quiet and every one so friendly. I will recommend this Camino Real in Managua to any one that needs a stay in Managua.

The service in the front desk is badly I never had so bad experience, the staffs include the person charge of the reservation who I take her name is: IXCHEL GUEVARA, is really vulgar person without education, I very sorry pay for receive so bad service, the other person who was in the front desk was Mr. Marlon he not want give me his name I saw in the […] badge, I suggest report this kind of abuse in the administration of the Hotel Camino Real; I was before in same brand of hotel but from Guatemala is total different (Much better). We used Camino Real as a staging hotel prior to our flight back to the US and were extremely pleased, to say the least. The free shuttle was there instantly and it was a quick 5 minute ride to the property. From the airport until arrival in our room, we did not have to touch our luggage (and we are not the kind of travelers who expect this kind of treatment) […] Upon check-in we received free drink coupons which was a nice suprise! We had a nice room pool side and a shower with incredible water pressure. After 8 days of solar drip showers, this was a little bit of heaven. The hotel grounds are very well done, with tennis courts and a very nice pool. There are also some beautiful Macaws in a large cage just outside the entrance. The bar has 2 x1 Happy Hour from 7-9. This on top of their already extremely reasonable drink prices, plus our coupons. Very good food in the restaraunt. There is also a nice casino attached to the hotel where we won $125!! It is just like Vegas in that you receive free drinks while you are gaming. Very fun night! The breakfast buffet the next morning was outstanding, with a variety of ffresh fruit I have never seen. Omelets made to order and a lady hand making fresh tortillas! The staff was were spot on in their service and did not laugh at my college spanish. We had an early flight out of Managua so this hotel's free airport shuttle and closeness to the airport was a factor in choosing this hotel. Hotel Camino Real Managua felt like a quiet, empty resort. If you enjoy gambling, there is a Casino attached. Also if you just want a nice safe hotel that is very near to the airport, then Camino Real will work for you. But there is absolutely nothing else in the neighborhood. No restaurants except the one in the hotel, no places to walk around, nothing. I […] didn't realize that there was a spa in the hotel until I was checking out. I would have used the gym there had I known that there was one. Also didn't realize that I had a coupon for a free drink, until after I was checking out. No one at the front desk informed me about what was available in the facility. But the hotel staff were friendly enough and helpful when I needed something. Internet service is free only in the lobby. To use the internet in your room, there is a charge... which wasn't true at other comparable hotels in Nicaragua that charged similar rates. While I was there, the hotel seemed fairly empty. There was only one or two people at the pool at a time... sometimes only one or two people at the restaurant at a time. I was surprised how much nicer this hotel was compared to the Best Western. This hotel is only 5 minutes from the airport. Better facilities, nicer maintenance and I have never had finer food in any hotel restaurant in Nicaragua and that includes the hotels in SJDS. I will always stay here when I need to stay close to the airport

Everything i expected. Make sure to give yourself enough time to enjoy the breakfast buffet and pool for a few hours!

Room was very nice - comfortable, good bed, nice flat screen TV. Was surprised to find no free internet (Best Western - closer to Airport - does have free internet) Nice pool and nicely landscaped grounds. Found food and beverages to be rather expensive.

Contrary to earlier reviews, we found the restaurant to be very clean, the food was well prepared, fresh and the buffet breakfast was an elegant spread. We returned to USA without any upset stomach. We wanted pizza for dinner, which was not on the menu. The front desk staff curteously phoned my request to the local Pizza-Hut. Promptly upon delivery, […] he even brought the pizza to our room. I have stayed here several times when I have an early flight out or get in very late. The rooms are clean. It's an easy place to stay. The pool is large. If I have more time in Managua I usually stay in another area with more restaurants and the like.

The only problem I had with this hotel was the restaurant. Other than that, the lobby was very clean, the service was great, and the rooms were fantastic.

Camino Real is so beautiful. My only regret is that we did not get to stay longer. I would love to go again and stay at this hotel.

Hotel is a green oasis right down the street from the airport. Grounds are beautiful. Rooms are well appointed and clean. Breakfast buffet is terrific, but be sure to pay at time of booking--otherwise it's twice as much money. We got food poisoning eating dinner at the restaurant, however, so be careful.

We have traveled 8 times to Nicaragua and have stayed each trip at the Camino Real in Managua. We love this hotel. It's reflects the culture in a warm and inviting way but is not too stuffy to be comfortable. We especially enjoy the pool and sauna. Be sure to select the offer for bed and breakfast. The buffet breakfast is always a highlight of our stay. […] The beds seemed hard when I first sat on them but I find that I always get a good rest on them and awake refreshed each morning. I have stayed here several times and if you have to spend the night in Managua only because of an early departing or late arriving flight, this is a good, clean, safe and friendly staffed hotel. A great hotel where hoyel personell speaks english. Nice pool with sunbeds with possibility to order food drinks. Less than 5 minutes from the aeropuerto wich makes it a perfect stay if you have a flight early in the morning after your check-in.
