Pitkän lennon jälkeen oli mukavaa, että hotellille ei ollut kuin 15min matka ja hotellinvastaanotossa palvelu pelasi mukavasti myös yöllä. Huone oli hieman käytössä kulunut ja vanhahtava, mutta hyvin siivottu. Mitään loistokasta hotellissa ei ollut, vaikka kuvien ja mainosten perusteella niin voisi odottaa, mutta toisaalta ei ollut mitään ikäviä yllätyksiäkään. Aamupala on lähinnä vitsi ja viikonloppuisin hotellilla tuntui olevan paljon paikallisia nuoria juhlimassa jotka hieman pitävät ääntä yölläkin. Ilmainen netti toimi hienosti. Hyvä perushotelli jossa hinta/laatusuhde on aika hyvin kohdallaan.

"Good stay on a short term basis"
Staff was great and honest. My daughter left something behind and they called us to let us know they found it (was an IPOD). Food quality was good for breakfast. Pool and room were clean. Everything was fine for what this is.

better than expected. only complaint was housekeeping threw in the trash my food items left on table in a neat pile to consume later and cost me 30 bucks , but did not take out the trash. also left dirty towels on floor so the obviously never went in the bathroom to clean. otherwise hotel is comfortable and clean when you arrive
"Didn't expect much, got just that"
We needed a place to stay before heading off to Miami. The hotel was cheap, en route and there was room. The room was fine, but the free breakfast a joke.

We stayed there while we were shopping for a vavation home...The hotel was very clean and quiet while a bit outdated...But well located for our purpose...
"Dirty rooms and no maid service!"
When we went to check in for our 2 night stay, a room wasn't ready, so they made us wait 2 hours for a room. When we finally got a room, it hadn't been cleaned yet by housekeeping, so we went to get another room. The new room was clean, fine. Had a good night's sleep, went out for the whole next day, came back to the room expecting housekeeping to replace […] the used towels, empty the trash cans, and make the bed... "cheap & simple"
This place is cheap and simple. With a location that isn't super scary. Wifi works great.(for those on business.) The staff was very helpful!
"Nicer than you would expect!!"
Very clean, roomy, and great front desk service. My only complaint was a small one - there were only about 10 channels available on the television. Again, not a dealbreaker, but would have liked more options. Other than that, this was a fantastic value, and actually much nicer than more expensive hotels I have stayed in.

Our four nights spent at this hotel were very pleasant. The continental breakfast served each morning was very nice, and our room was super clean. It might be a good idea to consider a room with a queen size bed, as the room with a full size with a bit cramped, but otherwise - zero complaints!

"Surprised Stay"
We were pleasantly surprised to find an almost new looking hotel with one of the best rooms we had stayed in for years. The room was clean, no chemical odors, nice bed linens and working refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The hotel was accommodating with parking our small trailer and the staff was very nice.
Staying at the Howard Johnson certainly had it's drawbacks. The power went out in the room and no one stopped in to see if I was OK. Staff was not available for assistance when I needed them and customer service was lacking. The condition of the room was great with the exception of the dead roach but seemed maybe that was unavoidable.
This was a really nice hotel for the money you pay. Very clean and very nice staff. The towels looked a little dingy, but I brought my own. Only reason I was upset because their internet did not work. And that is a big issue with me and why I chose this hotel. "No problems whatsoever."
I'm not sure where all the negative reviews for this place are coming from, because this is a nice hotel. No problems with our sheets, linens, shower, or the neighborhood. Someone said this is a bad neighborhood, but I don't see it. There are several stores around and the area feels safe.

Good, clean hotel for a reasonable price. If you have business around USF, this is not conveniently located, but it's a good location if you aren't planning on heading up that way(hopefully you plan better than I did.) Room was clean for the most part. Bath tub had some soap scum. The rom was comfortable and great a\c. Hotel had great breakfast. Found great price on hotels.com!

This is the first time I stayed at a Howard Johnson and was very impressed. The rooms were very clean and the beds were great. I will definitely stay there again if I am in the area.

"Motel fine, poor Internet"
The motel is fine, but if you need the Internet connection to work all the time, this is not the hotel for you. It drops all the time, and when it's up half the time it's not good enough to make a VOIP call. Other than that, it's not bad.

Everything was ok, except some strange confused other guests - seemed that they take too much drugs? Unfortunately the staff at the front desk didn´t tell us that the breakfast buffet closed before 9 am and we were too late.

We needed a place to stay for my husband to have outpatient eye surgery at a nearby small hospital. This motel fit the bill perfectly. It was adequately clean and perfectly located for our needs. Room was okay, but i had to clean tha dang jacuzzi out, it was still dirty with (long strain) of hairs all in it.. oh, in the kitchen, we found unopened bags of candy and big bags of Doritos. i guess that's hotel complimentary..

Do not confuse with HJ N Dale Mabry which is inferior. Generally OK. Good breakfast selection but tables not cleaned often enough between sittings. Rooms comfortable but blankets and bedspreads did not appear to have been washed recently. Left favourite pillow behind in room on leaving - kept safely by hotel staff until my return 2 days later.

Everything was fine except my wife saw one bug in the room. I didn't see it so I don't know what kind it was. This was a mark against an otherwise satisfactory stay.

Nice hotel for the price with free parking while you are away. Did not know that there was no airport shuttle until after we booked so had to get taxi to airport which is about $25. Room was fine and clean. Breakfast was acceptable for a continental with waffles, toast, cereal and fruit. I was not impressed with my stay at this hotel. The neighborhood did not seem very safe, you can hear street traffic from your hotel room, a lot of the room was outdated, there was a gap under the door letting cold air inside. I would not recommend. Much better can be found for the same price.

"Slightly disapointing"
The rooms were okay but we had booked rooms with double beds and when we got there, we were told that we had kings. Wouldn't have been bad if we had all couples but we had two couples and two guys. The hotel would not give us two doubles even though they had plenty available. There was a room with some guys in it who tried to smoke all the pot in Tampa.
