Sleep Inn and Suites Baytown - Baytown

I was supposed to get a queen. Was put in a double. Could hardly turn around in the room.

I don't normally write reviews for my stays, but this time I had to. If you're going to stay at this hotel, then know what you are getting yourself into. The place is decent, modern and in good shape. The problem? The reservations. Even booked through hotels.com, where I am pre-paid, they did not hold the room I booked. I asked for and paid for a queen-sized […] bed. Instead I got a full-size. For a person of my size (6'5" plus), this meant an uncomfortable night. I arrived late (expected) and the hotel was booked and full - there was nothing they could (or would) do. If I had known I was going to get a full size bed I wouldn't have booked the room. The hotel was convent to shopping mall but at nite u heard kids running in the hall the showwer door was broke and the toilet was broken just shock cause we sleep a lot to sleep inn. just surprise of how themotel was very disappointed

This hotel is good for those who are on a budget and cannot afford to stay at a expensive hotel. I like that the entrance to my room goes through the lobby instead of outside, for this is a very important thing I want to have. The free breakfast is good, it's small of course but that is because of the size of the hotel and how many rooms it has. Outback […] restaurant is right next door, you can walk to it. I give it a good rating because it is affordable and it's the 3rd time I have stayed here since January 2012. The only bad thing is the TV's are not the flat screen TV's and not all TV's are closed captioned, so if you are deaf and looking for a hotel with closed caption TV, you may want to call before reserving to make sure you get a room with closed caption TV. The general manager quickly resolved a couple of issues to our complete satisfaction. The hotel staff was very friendly. Pet friendly status was awesome!

Ok, I haven't been to Baytown in years but after this I will not EVER stay the night there again. This hotel was CRAPPY! Since they accept dogs, the whole reception area/dining area (where you have breakfast, which is also a joke) smelled like an animal shelter. The room seemed to be clean, since no one ever stays here, but the furniture was ripped […] and OLD. Very outdated and crappy....so not worth the price!! I would not recommend this place. The front desk clerk always sets the tone for a hotel stay. He/ she can improve a stay at a not-so-good property or can ruin the stay at a good one. The front desk at this hotel needs to learn a little about making guests feel welcome (or at least learn how to fake the emotion!) The room was clean and comfortable - recent renovation was evident. But […] the grounds outside are already going to pot (overgrown grass etc) and it looks like the renovation isn't going to be maintained. I'd be leary of booking a night at this hotel again. Clean and friendly

The room was a little smaller than I expected...my suitcase barely fit between the mini fridge and the wall. The surrounding neighborhood was a little rundown, but I felt perfectly safe in the hotel.

Easy acess to anything in the Houston area

The hotel was in a great area: close to many good restaurants, a nice mall, two race tracks (a drag strip and a dirt track), and a retired battelship.
