Olin nyt kolmatta kertaa samassa hotellissa. Paria seikkaa lukuun ottamatta olin erittäin tyytyväinen. Suurin harmi oli se, että bide-suihkua ei ollut, ja se suihkujärjestelmä, joka oli, toimi alkeellisesti. Säätö ei toiminut, vaan vettä tippui jokaisesta kolmesta kohdasta, vaikka miten olisi säätänyt. Veden tulo alkoi aina kylmällä vedellä, ja sitä siis tuli joka tuutista. No, kyllä tilanteen kanssa oppi pärjäämään. Toinen harmi oli se, että vaimoni yöpyku katosi liinavaatteiden mukana, ja takaisin sitä ei saatu.

Hotelli on kohtuullisen hintainen. Sijainti aivan metroaseman vieressä, josta pääsee manhattanille melko nopeasti. Aamiainen on ihan okei, tosin tilat on aika pienet, joten oli melko ruuhkaista välillä. Huoneet on todella siistit.
Lisähenkilöistä saatetaan periä maksu, joka saattaa vaihdella hotellikohtaisesti.
Sisäänkirjautumisen yhteydessä vaaditaan virallinen kuvallinen henkilöllisyystodistus ja luottokortti tai käteistalletus mahdollisten lisämaksujen takia.

"Hotelli keskeisellä paikalla"
Hotelli vanhassa rakennuksessa ,ja on ulkopuolelta vaatimaton.Yleiset tilat siistit,mutta huoneen kunto kulunut. Esimerkiksi kokolattiamatto kulunut puhki.Kylpyhuoneen suihku ja amme surkeat.Siivous hoidettu erittäin hyvin,kiitos" Roosan" taitojen ja huolellisuuden,että hienon ja ulospäin suuntautuvan persoonan.

"Hotel Rosewelt NY"
Vietimme hotellissa neljä yötä. Valitsimme hotellin sen keskeisen sijainnin ja kohtuullisen hinnan perusteella. Sijainti on siis aivan loistava, monet nähtävyydet ovat kävelyetäisyydellä. Ainut negatiivinen asia oli huoneiden äänieristys, koska ovissa ei ollut kynnyksiä, käytäviltä kuului kaikki meteli huoneisiin, mutta aikaeron väsyttäminä nukuimme […] kuitenkin melko hyvin. "Home Away From Home"
You get a good rest in a comfortable bed, a very relaxing holiday. The staff was friendly. Because the hotel has a long history of course some items needed updating and in fact while we were staying at The Roosevelt they had just started a massive make over of the rooms. Then again the feeling of old age was a very charming element. As any old buildings […] there was a tiny minus because it was rather cold at times in the night and some spiders came to warm up inside, yikes. But they seemed to be harmless and more afraid of me than I was of them. Also there were some minuses in the food served and so, but I won't get into details right now because I need one more stay to make an opinion. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay! Hotelli on perushotelli, ilman mitään kummempia erikoisuuksia. Sijainti oli hallitseva valintaa tehtäessä, eikä se pettänyt. Sijainti on ihanteellinen.

Hotelli vastasi odotuksia. Sijainti on erinomainen. Huone oli siisti ja siivous toimi. Ainut negatiivinen asia on langattoman yhteyden maksullisuus. Nykypäivänä tämän pitäisi kuulua ilmaisena peruspalveluihin. Matkalaukun säilytyksen tulisi olla, joko kokonaan ilmaista tai selkeästi hinnoiteltu. Maksun ei tulisi olla tipin varassa.

"GREAT LOCATION AND HOTEL, ROOM A BIT WEARY"
THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL WAS ABSOLUTELY GREAT, YOU COULD ALMOST SEE GRAND CENTRAL (STATION) FROM IT. THE LOBBY WAS BEAUTIFUL AND CONCIERGE REALLY HELPFUL. THE ROOM WAS NICE AS WELL, THOUGH A BIT USED LOOKING. THE ROOM CLEANING STAFF WAS VERY NICE AS MET ON THE HALLWAY AND ROOM'S WERE CLEANED WELL. HOWEVER, ON OUR ARRIVAL THE BATHROOM COULD HAVE BEEN […] A BIT CLEANER: THERE WAS A USED Q-TIPS ON THE FLOOR AND A BIT OF DUST ON THE SURFACES. WE DIDN'T EAT BREAKFAST AT THE HOTEL - IT LOOKED AND SMELLED REALLY NICE, THOUGH - BUT WITH THE PRICE OF $24 IT FELT A BIT OVERPRICED, BUT NEW YORK IS OF COURSE NOT THE CHEAPEST CITY TO STAY IN. The Roosevelt Hotel is on a fairly convenient place next to Grand Central, where also some metro lines operate, and the shopping on 5th Avenue. The staff was friendly and especially all the concierges were really great in helping with everything from reserving restaurant to getting tickets to comedy shows. "Roosevelt, hieno hotelli lähellä kaikkea"
Hotelli oli hyvällä paikalla ja yleiset tilat olivat tosi hienot. Huone oli neljälle aika pieni, kaksi kapeaa parisänkyä. Yllätys oli se, että huonetta ei siivottu joka päivä, vaan joka toinen.
"Such a great hotel!"
When we checked in, they said our room wasn't ready because a previous guest had smoked in it. They offered us free drinks at the bar while they found another room for us. OKAY! We only waited about an hour and once we got our room, it was perfect. Everyone was very friendly and the accommodations were really nice.

It was my first time at the Roosevelt. My sisters and I had reserved a "cozy double double" and were pleasantly surprized that the room had more than enough room for the four of us. We wish the roof top bar had been opened that Saturday but we knew ahead of time that it wouldn't be so were not surprized.

THe hotel is lovely, but it needs to be updated to accomodate technology, there are not enough plugs in the room, nor are the ones there convenient for plugging in iphones, etc. The shelf in the bath is inadequate for personal items..it is small and right over the toilet..my hairbrush fell in the toilet..yuck...

Needed a lamp replaced and they responded quickly. Great local. Elevators can be over crowded later in the evening.

"Nice Lobby, Shabby Guest Room"
We were given a wheelchair-accessible guest room and we did not request for one. Don't understand why they did that to us. It took me the next day to realize that it was a wheelchair-accessible room--had not been in one so I was pretty surprised to see how the bathroom was laid out. Bottom line: not impressed. "Great hotel but small rooms"
My wife and I took our two teenage daughters to NYC for a long weekend and stayed at the Roosevelt. We loved the location, which is a short walk from Grand Central and a reasonable walk to Times Square and most of mid-town. The hotel was a beautiful old building, which reminded us of the Park Plaza in Boston. The staff was very friendly and helpful […] and the bartenders and waiters in the lounge were excellent; I went down for a quick beer on Saturday to watch the hockey game and the bartender greeted me with a smile and remembered my name and brand when I returned with my wife on Sunday night. The beds were very comfortable, but the reason for the 4 rating overall and for confort was the size of the rooms, which is unavoidable in an older hotel. With 4 of us sharing the room and one tiny bathroom, it was a bit of a squeeze. If it were just my wife and I and there was only one bed in the room, it would have been a 5. We have stayed in New York before, tried the Roosevelt this time, very pleasantly surprised. Wanderful hotel with great character, helpful staff, and in the center of everything.
Hotel is in a convenient location and the room was adequate, but the water pressure was awful.

Close to Grand Central so convienant for subway for entire NYC. Exceptionally clean and very well maintained. Bedding was very comfortable especially when compared to other hotels in the area. Good lounge and bar in the lobby if stuck on a rainy day. Friendly staff. Only negative was WiFi was not free which is typical of most high end hotels. Overall it was good. Bathroom is very small with old fixtures etc. but appeared to be clean. Prefer rooms with a coffee pot which this hotel didn't provide.
