"Ideal"
We liked our stay....especially the price compared to others in Williams. The continental breakfast was handy. The room was clean, TV and Wi-Fi worked. Floor was old and creaky...but we didn't care.
Our room was clean, but there were no amenities (coffee, microwave, refrig). the air conditioner was not positioned so the bed received the air. (bed was in alcove). Our friends had a better room at the same price!

Paper-thin walls, but Williams is a great place to stay. 54 miles from Grand Canyon, so don't leave anything you need in your hotel.

"Cars - the movie"
It was available and continental breakfast was available. It is conveniently close to the Grand Canyon south entrance. The town did remind me of the movie Cars. It was a fun town to walk through and look at old Route 66.

"Econo Lodge - convenient and efficient but...."
Can do with new carpets. There's a funky smell as soon as we were on top of the 2nd floor & then in our room. Glad we didn't have to pay for the Internet! Still a bit expensive compared to other Econo Lodge I've stayed at. Breakfast - sucky...... Bad diluted coffee. Only sweet cereal, toast & waffles. "just right"
pros: right on the road and not too close to the highway so there was less noise. The TV had decent reception. he bed was comfortable. Rooms are small and so were the bathroom. But they were just right for a nights stay. I will stay there again if I go. I felt that the price is worth what I got. WIFI was also good.

I booked this hotel as the starting/ending point of our visit to Grand Canyon National Park south rim. The hotel was easy to find, on the main street in Williams, AZ. Walking distance (under 5 minutes) to the tourist area, shops, restaurants, gas station, and supermarket. They charged me $10 for a 3rd person, but buffet breakfast (cereal, waffel, […] juice, toast) was included. Internet and parking was free. Less than 5 minutes from the Interstate, and ~45 minutes from entrance of Grand Canyon National Park. Our room was clean and relatively comfortable. Great place for a stay over well visiting the Grand Canyon. Room was clean Staff was very helpful and friendly and morning breakfast was good.

"You get what you pay for"
Location for Grand Canyon was good. We were off season so many local businesses & restaurants were closed. Cold snap left the parking area icy and nothing was done about it. The bed was a brick, we were very glad to be moving to another place after 2 nights.
You get what you pay for. The room was very small and the bathroom door wouldn't lock completely. We were treated rudely by a female employee at the check in office. The highlight, if any, were the surrounding shops and diners. They were very cute although the majority of the places closed very early.

"Good Stay near Grand Canyon"
Stayed for one night on a recent trip to Grand Canyon. The place satisfied all we needed. It was nearby and quite clean. I would stay again if visiting the area again.
A classic Route 66 motel ambiance. Waffle, orange juice, cantelope and orange sections breakfast was good, though not much seating for the lots of guests. Pine Valley restaurant down the street was good.

Good hotel overall loved our stop, but near train line and train noises. Very wind weather during our stay, wind noise down heating duct.

The heater makes noise every 15-30 minutes and wrecked my sleep. To make matters worse, we heard so much noise from surrounding rooms. I am not a fussy person and I don't really ask for much. "The Hotel Econolodge in Williams - free breakfast"
Hotel was comfortable and clean, everything worked. WiFi was free, good for surfing, ok for streaming video. Beds were very firm, no comfort here. LCD TV with cable. Small fridge.

Located only a few blocks from the polar express train station, and way cheaper than staying at the stations hotel. Obviously williams is a train town so your gonna hear trains running for most of the night. The rooms are pretty small and there isn't much in them, but overall the savings is worth it!

The heater didn't work properly... it's a must if you plan to visit Grand Canyon during Christmas holiday. We didn't tell the frontdesk about it, so we don't know if someone would come to fix it...

The hotel was within walking distance to the Polar Express. We expected to hear the train all night, but that wasn't the case. Oh and they have a great breakfast set up!

We stayed in this hotel while we did the polar express. The front desk was very nice and quickly checked us in when we first got there. The room was pretty basic which is all we needed for our one night. It was clean and did the job. It is less than half a mile from the polar express.
