Olin nyt kolmatta kertaa samassa hotellissa. Paria seikkaa lukuun ottamatta olin erittäin tyytyväinen. Suurin harmi oli se, että bide-suihkua ei ollut, ja se suihkujärjestelmä, joka oli, toimi alkeellisesti. Säätö ei toiminut, vaan vettä tippui jokaisesta kolmesta kohdasta, vaikka miten olisi säätänyt. Veden tulo alkoi aina kylmällä vedellä, ja sitä siis tuli joka tuutista. No, kyllä tilanteen kanssa oppi pärjäämään. Toinen harmi oli se, että vaimoni yöpyku katosi liinavaatteiden mukana, ja takaisin sitä ei saatu.

Hotelli on kohtuullisen hintainen. Sijainti aivan metroaseman vieressä, josta pääsee manhattanille melko nopeasti. Aamiainen on ihan okei, tosin tilat on aika pienet, joten oli melko ruuhkaista välillä. Huoneet on todella siistit.

Sijainti oli todella hyvä. Hotelli sinänsä oli myös ihan hyvä ja palvelu oli moitteetonta. Huone oli pieni pettymys, kuvat olivat antaneet paremman kuvan huoneen kunnosta. Tosin hotellissa on varmasti parempi kuntoisempiakin huoneita. Mutta huone oli kuitenkin siisti ja palveli hyvin meidän tarpeita (kävimme pääasiassa siellä nukkumassa). Voisin suositella.
Lisähenkilöistä saatetaan periä maksu, joka saattaa vaihdella hotellikohtaisesti.
Sisäänkirjautumisen yhteydessä vaaditaan virallinen kuvallinen henkilöllisyystodistus ja luottokortti mahdollisten lisämaksujen takia.

The Skyline Hotel's casual restaurant is open for breakfast each morning. Room service is available during limited hours.
The Clinton/Hell's Kitchen neighborhood is home to numerous ethnic restaurants, as well as pizzerias and delis. Midtown's famous Restaurant Row is just a half-mile away.
The heated indoor pool, attended by a lifeguard, is open mornings and evenings. Located on the Penthouse Floor of the West Wing, the pool provides stellar city views. A small fitness center includes treadmills and an elliptical machine.

"Hinta-laatusuhde ok"
10min kävelymatkan päässä Times squarelta. Kylpyhuone uusittu ja huone perussiisti vaikka "vuodet" aistittavissa. Seinät aika ohuet joten äänet (ja hissi) kuului mutta ei häiritsevästi. Voisimme mennä toistekin!

Palvelu oli ystävällistä, huoneet olivat hyvin siistejä kolmen tähden hotelliksi ja hotelli oli meidän mielestä todella hyvällä paikalla, kävelymatka Time Squarelle. Olemme matkustelleet paljon joten odotin surkeampaa tapausta joten yllätyimme hyvin positiivisesti. Uima-allas oli surkea mutta eipä sitä tarvittu kun hetken.
Not very nice over all feel to it. If any other hotel will not do, then this may be ok. Pool water horrible quality, "life guards" at the pool rude. All an all, this hotel has stayed in the 70's in many ways.

Mukava ja siisti hotelli west midtownissa, pienen kävelymatkan päässä mm. Times Squarelta ja keskuspuistosta. Hotelliin saa viedä lemmikkejäkin, mutta emme nähneet tai kuulleet ainoatakaan. Vaikka meillä oli eläinallergikkoja mukana, ei mitään oireita tullut, eli eläinpölyä ei kovin paljon ollut. Pyysimme etukäteen huonetta, jossa eläimiä ei olisi ollut, […] mutta vastaus oli, että huone siivotaan perusteellisesti, ja näin ilmeisesti olikin tehty. Mistään luteista ei havaintoja. Uima-altaalta on hienot näkymät, mutta se suljetaan ukkosella. Hieman kulumista on havaittavissa, mutta mistään nuhjuisuudesta ei voi puhua. Hotellissa näyttää olevan vanha (matala) ja uusi puoli (korkea), voi olla, että vanhassa huoneet ovat kulahtaneempia, mutta vaikea sanoa, kun olimme vain uudessa osassa. Vastapäätä on kiva deli, Subway ja pikkukauppoja, mutta juuri muuta ei ihan vieressä ole. Lisätietoja
"Skyline hotelli- New York"
Hotelli erittäin hyvällä paikalla. Helppo liikkua joka suuntaan. Huone oli hyvä, mukava ja hiljainen. Makuuhuoneessa olisi voinut olla valoja enemmän, oli pimeä. Huone siisti. Hissi ja uima-allas ränsistyneet ja epämiellyttävät. Uima-altaan vesi sameaa, ei houkutellut uimaan toista kertaa. Kuntosali ok.
"Good hotel near many restaurants"
The hotel room was very nice, big and quiet (ask for a room not facing the street). Didn't have the breakfast because it was so expensive, nearby diners are better. In general, I was very pleased with my choice. The view from the penthouse is great but the pool is unswimmable - it's 95F/36C all the time. I was swetting while swimming which wasn't nice […] as it was veeery hot outside. I asked the reception why the water was so hot and they just answered: "it's always hot". Keskihintainen, perussiisti hotelli hyvien kulkuyhteyksien ja runsaan ravintolatarjonnan äärellä. Kahden hengen huone oli pieni, mutta kohtuullisen toimiva ja siivottiin joka päivä. Ei kiusallisia luteita. Hotellin palvelutaso oli hyvä ja henkilökunta avuliasta. Ainoastaan hotellin oma ravintola sai jäädä väliin korkeiden hintojensa takia parin aamupalalla […] käynnin jälkeen. "Mukava perushotelli"
Skyline Hotel ei vakuuta ulkonäöllään, mutta sijainti on upea: Times Squarelle käveli 10 minuutissa, ja JFK:lta tulevan metron pysäkki oli kahden kadun päässä (10th Street ja 8.avenue). "Skyline-Hinta-laatusuhde kohdillaan"
Lähellä ravintoloita, nähtävyyksiä. Erityisplussa uima-altaasta, jossa hyvä lepuuttaa jalkoja kävelypäivän jälkeen. Erinomainen concierge palvelu auttaa suunnittemaan ohjelmaa, suosittelee ravintoiloita jne.

Leaky faucett tht dripped all night, uncomfortable bed not a good neigborhood worn carpet. Rather run down. Staff tries to make up for it. They are helpful and pleasant. I would have expected cheaper rates for such a worn hotel.

Perfectly fine/adequate hotel, albeit, nothing too, too fancy. Parking garage is right there. Simply walk back up the ramp entrance into the hotel - simple & easy. They do have a very nice sized roof-top pool with a greenhouse type enclosure facilitating skyline views. (hence, the hotel's name?) The a/c in the room was broken - it kept blowing out heat. They were able to give us another room. I wasn't happy about having to move - b ut they were very helpful.

Business trip with just one night in NY however found the hotel clean, but busy, well located, and easily found. Friendly reception, but disco in bar. However it didnt disturb me during the night though.

Pool was nice, No free WiFi. The faucet in the sink and tub would not shut off and had a constant run of low water. The room smelled stale. Parking was a disaster. Excellent location and comfortable beds. People working there were nice....

Not too far from a subway station and in close walking distance to several sites. As I found with several hotels wireless Internet access in the room is an extra charge and per device. This is something that needs to be rolled into the cost of the room. At the cost of this room there is no reason wifi isn't completely free.

"Retro Style Hotel perfect for Lower West Side"
This hotel exhibits all the charm of 1940's and 50's. It's luxurious for that age and incredibly "retro". Being New York, the air conditioning didn't seem to work right but for March the temperatures were fine. The toilet/shower area is very small and cramped, but not a dealbreaker for us. The vanity is plenty big to prepare yourself for your day. We […] had two double beds which were more than adequate. No free Internet. The restaurant next door (PJ's) is great, but there are also lots of other places around the neighborhood. We felt very safe walking around, even up to Central Park and Times Square. Recommended! The hotel is 10 mins away from Times Square and all the touristy things you could do in NYC. That's the good side. Maintenance and service were disappointing. The heat was off; I called the reception three times and waited for one hour before somebody showed up. He poked the heating and said nothing could be done. They did offer that we move to another […] room but the kid was already asleep, so htat wasn't an option for us. We spent the night freezing. The hotel is nice, clean. The restaurant has good food. my only complaint was that was not enough chlorine in the pool. You just felt diry being in the pool. The kids loved it.
"Still love this family owned hotel"
Before moving to NYC I stayed at this hotel often. Now that I live here I still refer friends and family to this place and I also stay there myself on occassion. The only problem is that breakfast and internet are not included. My suggestion to them is to really become a family hotel and offer those basic imminities.

The Hotel was O...K but the place needs a lot of renovation work done for it to qualify for the price they're charging. The only thing I truly enjoyed about the hotel was the pool and the proximity it afforded us to the Times Square area. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Very happy with our stay at the Skyline in NYC. Very clean, large room, pool for the kids, close to everything, great service, nice neighborhood, and excellent price. I already recommended to a friend and will come back next year!

I have stayed at the Skyline a number of times due to it's great neighborhood and close proximity to cultural activities. On this stay the guests in the room next to me made sure all the other guests on the floor knew what time they came back (2am). They carried on in the room for about an hour. Too make sure they were consistent, they did the same […] inconsiderate behavior the next night. At 3am I banged on the wall to send a message. I didn't get to thank them for waking up my grandchildren. I suggest that when the front desk sees people return to hotel in a" loud" state, perhaps security can do more rounds and be more proactive in making every guest's stay an enjoyable one. Lisätietoja
"The Hotel is not good"
There are few major things that are important disadvantages: too much noise from A/C/Heating system at night, too small room, too difficult to get wi-fi even it was paid for that, charged for the parkingnot $10 as they advertise but if you get your car in the middle of your stay then you pay $18 each time. No coffe/tea in the room.

"Liked the Hotel."
No complaints about the Hotel or Staff. There is a nice 24 hr Deli across the road. Room was about what I expected for the price. The imediate neighborhood was a bit dirty but I felt safe enough. I wouldn't recomend it for families with young kids. I would stay there again. It's a bit old school but that was kid of cool too. I do Love NY.

Walking distance to Times Square and close to 5th Avenue and all other attractions. Very convenient location of the Hotel.
"Very Clean and Reasonably Priced"
Although the hotel is a 10 minute walk to the theater district it is worth the effort. It is very easy to drive to and has parking under the hotel. The hotel is spotless and reasonably priced.

This hotel is a bit of a walk (5 blocks) from times square and Rockefeller center, but it was CLEAN, comfortable, has reasonably priced parking, a pool, and takes small pets. What's not to like. Also, very brightly lit at night. Front desk staff were pleasant and competent. A very good experience in NYC.
