"very good for the price"
the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, the breakfast was good,and staff were friendly. The only annoying thing was the construction on the main road. It was far from the stores to walk. If it were closer to shopping I would stay there again.

Howard Johnson's in Fargo is definitely in West Fargo. I didn't realize how far from West Acres the hotel was. It was in quite an industrial neighborhood, but the price of an evening's stay could not be beat. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the continental breakfast as well. toenails at roomfloor , not clean bed linen, stinky air at the hole Hotel (foul eggs ) , front desk and entree look like a bar , old equipment,, breakfast rar loadet (frozen stuff to warm up ),never again , wild camping make more stars ,we left 6.30 am more as a evacuation because everybody and everythink got now te same smelly flavour

Rooms weren't clean and the neighborhood is bad. The beds were small and towels were all stained. Not staying there again.

"Hotel is fine and close to shopping"
Hotel is two minutes away from the shopping strip or 13th avenue. There is a McDs across the lot, a liquor store one block away and the beds were quite comfortable. I actually had no issues with this place for the price.

Stayed overnight with my son and enjoyed our time there. Pool was nice-it was cold at first but we moved around and warmed up in no time. The whirlpool was occupied and looked pleasant. We had double beds and while my son slept like a rock, I felt my bed was too hard for me. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We would stay again!

Room was ok. Definitely needs to be updated. There were no bed bugs but that's all I have to say about the cleanliness of the hotel. Hot tub was disgusting - water was dirty & scum on tub walls. Convenient location but we had a hard time finding it.

This motel is a hidden gem in West Fargo... clean and well-run... quite new and in good shape overall (unlike it's run-down neighbour, the Super 8 on Main Ave)... there is a well-kept pool (warning: salt water is a shock to the eyes)... the free breakfast is typical budget hotel fare (including the obligatory waffle machine)... and the TVs are being […] updated. The location is deceptive... it's really quite close to things... a quick drive up 9th St. through suburban West Fargo (maybe 10 blocks) and you're on the main shopping drag (13th Ave. South) with all the restaurants and bars... you come out right at JL Beers (... and if you haven't tried the burgers there, you haven't lived). First of all Hotel was listed as being East Main st. Hard to find because its on West Main ave. Next Pool Hours were screwed up one sign says 11 the other says 10 when they closed. We rented the Hotel because of the way it looked on the website a nice looking pool with Hot Tub/Spa. come to find out it doesn't work and the water looked like it hadn't […] work for a while. Stayed January 21, 2012. The hotel itself was in an industrial area of the city but met our needs nicely. Our room was adequate and no noise after 11pm. Only complaint I have is that the desk clerk was watching TV in the breakfast area after 10pm and the volume was very high. the hotel was alright... no pool table, dart board or arcade room. the room was ok but my wife and I are going to the doctors to get some spots on our skin checked out.

The hotel's address was confusing...it was in the east of west Fargo...we went to east Fargo because the address says east...specifics about its location could help..even the GPS is confused....
"The Howard johnson overview in Fargo ND"
This was the 2nd time we have stayed in this hotel, and all was very clean and quite. I would recommend that there be fruit on the breakfast bar. I would also recommend that they put more money in the quality of their beds. Ours was very unconfortable, and so sleeping was not good, and rest is very important for the travelers that stay there.

"Good for the price per night"
This hotel was good for the price and offered standard amenities like WiiFii, freeze and microwave, cable TV in the hotel room. The hotel is supposed to be under maintenance I guess...so the doorway and stairs were not very clean. Bed and bathroom was clean. Breakfast was ok.

Having read reviews on this motel, I went there open minded. I arrived at the hotel at 930am and had to be at the Fargo Amtrak station at midnight that same evening, so all I needed was a place to while away the hours and get some sleep. I was informed when I arrived that I could not get my room until 3pm. Though dismayed I sat in the lobby and waited. […] About noon the proprietor I believe summoned me and informed me that there was a room available. So even though a few hours later that I arrived there and earlier than I had been told I got my room. I have no complaints about my stay there and would most certainly recommend it to my friends as a place to stay. Location was ideal to where the event we were attending was being held, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to switch rooms, due to the first room we were given had water leaking in the bathroom. The room we ended up with was decent size and clean, minus staining on the wall. although the hotel is kind of off the main drag for shopping, it was a short 5min drive to west acres not a lot of scenery around the hotel, but very inexpensive if you are on a budget , the continental breakfast was good ,staff very friendly. would i stay there again ? Sure , big bang for the buck. Pool was clean and so was the hot tub .

The Staff at this hotel was amazing and friendly. Great customer service. I would never stay here again and only stayed one night instead of the 3 like we were suppose to. Very dirty, stains, breakfast needs upgrading you name it. I will pay the money to have myself and family comfortable and a good nights sleep. Low level, not clean, discusting welcome smell of Cary and food spread all over, no elevator, linen looks like were in used , of others before us. Stayed over one night and ran away.

Was easy to get to from main highway and easy to find. Also was easy to drive to and from shopping centers and restaurants. Was reasonably priced and the people were friendly and helpful. The building and rooms were clean and maintaned.
