We booked a suite for the night. It's one King bed and one queen. The sink for the room separates the rooms with a bathroom seperate with just a toilet and tub are just off the King size bed room. Makes you feel very unsanitary when you touch the entire room after leaving the restroom before you can wash. It's clean but still very outdated for being […] remodelled. We had a fine stay at this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel was very clean, service was excellent. Could have been a little more peaceful in the mornings but we stayed at the Ramada South for the same reasons, a huge hockey tournament our son competed in so it was completely understandable. Located around several ammenities and somewhat close to shopping centres. If you own a gps you should have no […] problems with te one ways. "funny entrance"
Our room had a really weird entrance. The door beside ours, on the same side of the hall actually faced ours. It took us a few seconds to realize that there was one entrance from the hall and then the doors to the two rooms inside it. I think it was their idea of ajoining rooms. Other than that, the room was good, except the toilet ran most of the time, […] and the stand behind the tv was dusty. Also, the pull out bed only had 1 blanket and a bottom sheet and no pillow, had to call and ask for blankets and pillows. The beds were comfortable and it met our needs fairly well. I ordered a room with 2 queens. Did not need them they offered nicely to set me up with a king instead. Only because someone else wanted the queens. They put me in the room right next to the elevator. When i realized it was REALLY loud, I asked for another room to be told no others were available. We had 2 rooms our room was great. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and updated. Some people had made comments about the heat in thier rooms our heater had a thermastat on it so it was easy to control. The heater in my parents room however, is a different story. They had to switch rooms because the first room the heater didn't work. The second […] room they got the heater was loud and kept cutting in and out all night and they didn't get much sleep. The only complaint I had was the pop machines on EVERY floor were empty. We ended up buying drinks from the restaruant and taking them to our room. The room was wonderful. The bed was fantastic. My only complaint was the old heating system that was so noisy when turned on that you couldn't here the TV and when you turned it off it still made strange noises.
Would of been a lot better if the pool was was open.

Ramada South is easily accessable from the South end of Edmonton. Parking is free but kind of congested. Staff were friendly and the attached reataurant served adequate fresh food when we went there for lunch. We had a room with 2 queen beds. The rooms were very small but OK for short stays. The decoration pillows were soiled. The heater /air conditioner […] was very noisy and the switches were finicky. We shut it off as it was so noisy. The rooms and hotel was very nice, Smitty's in the hotel was good for breakfast, free parking was great. before arrival time i called to see if i could check in and they made it work. Upon arrival the front desk was very friendly which is always great. the room was clean and comfortable. will stay there again when i am back. Always find that i get this great service with Ramada.

This is a nice hotel, probably much better when all facilities are open. Much of the hotel has been renovated but not as modern a feel in the rooms as in the lobby. We originally checked into another hotel down the street and did not feel the cleanliness/comfort/safety was acceptable. We called to the Ramada and got a room immediately (for almost exactly the same price) and felt that there was no comparison!! It was a great stay!! "Ramada South Edmonton:Good value for the money"
We stayed for three nights; originally planned for 2, but they had no trouble accommodating an extra day at short notice. Great staff: friendly, anxious to serve and very knowledgeable. Smitty's restaurant was ok, and the hotel is close to many other restaurants on Gateway Boulevard/ Calgary Trail, the main N/S axis. Also, it is located within 1 block […] of the Whitemud Freeway, the main E/W axis. Room was small, but nicely furnished and very comfortable. The one issue was the supply/flow of hot water in the shower. Very hot for awhile, and then suddenly all gone. We wondered if we were part of a multi-room water supply and someone else was using their shower at the same moment. "Good place for the money"
The hotel is under renovations, so some of it was nice and new and some was older and a bit run down looking. This did not impact our stay much at al, as our room was fully renovated. Pros and Cons: PROS: Room was comfortable, clean and quiet (except for the noise from older elevator doors all day and night). LOVE that you can open the sliding doors […] for fresh air. Smitty's right there for breakfast. Convenient location. Very pleasant and helpful staff. One went out of his way to help find a lost item, which I really appreciated. Price was fantastic. I would stay here again. CONS: Pool is closed indefinitely (not a concern for us). Elevator is somewhat loud, as mentioned. We we had to move rooms midway through our 4 day stay because our toilet broke, but the move was handled quickly and efficiently. OVERALL: Great value for the money and I would recommend it! "Elevator"
Walking down seven flights of stairs with my luggage upon check out really tarnished my views of this hotel. It was comfy and clean with a great location but if you go to Edmonton to shop as I do (I live in Fort McMurray) it is not so appealing to carry all of your parcels down so many flights of stairs :S

People were very friendly!!! They let us use their fax machine for personal use and did not charge us. I booked online at a special rate and ended up staying for 2 extra nights, they gave us the same rate as the online booking. Will diffinately stay here again!!!

This wasn't the first time and it won't be the last we stay there. The front desk staff are very friendly and accomadating. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. We only wish that the water park would open up for our son (and us too) to enjoy.

Our stay at the ramada was pleasing surprising. out recent stays at other hotels in edmonton were less than enjoyable. The room we stayed in was very spaceous and clean and it suited our needs very well. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
