Ihan siisti hotelli. Aamiainen oli OK. Sänky oli hyvä. AInoa mitä puuttui oli golf channel telkkarista. Ravintoloita ja pubeja löyty läheltä, tosin liikenne siinä vieressä oli aika vilkasta. Kadun ylittäminen kesti, mutta maltilla onnistuu.

Mukavasti lähellä lentokenttää, La Quinta Inn Austin Capitol sijaitsee kaupungin Austin sydämessä, kävelymatkan päässä kohteista Old Bakery and Emporium ja Texas State Capitol. Lähistöllä ovat myös Governor's Mansion ja Travis County Law Library.

"It is what it is"
I was provided with exactly what I expected, a clean room convenient to my business meetings. Easy to get to and located centrally in downtown. There are few ammenities but the valet only parking was a plus as your car was always at the front door when ready to leave. The room was not cleaned as well as it might have been but it was satisfactory. Had […] my wife been along it would have gotten lower marks I assure you. "Hotel La Quinta in Austin, Tx"
This hotel was scary. I found two very large roaches in my room two nights in a row. The maintenance people never cleaned my bathroom floor and never cleaned my room well until i complained. I will never stay there again!

Poor parking facility
"Good location"
We stayed to attend an event at the Austin Music Hall and found this hotel very convenient to walking to that venue. We also wanted to check out the music on 6th St. and this hotel was within a very close and pleasant walking distance. "Convenient location but way overpriced"
This hotel was clean and comfortable, but really just a basic room that I wouldn't normally pay more than $70 or $80 a night for. The price was only justified because of it's location. No parking at all, had to give up your car to a valet, and I'm not a big fan of that. Front desk people were nice, and there was your usual free "continental" breakfast […] in the morning of cereal, bagels, yogurt, etc. Walking distance from the Capitol and hot party district was the draw for us. "In for conference"
I came to attend a conference at the Convention Center. This hotel is inexpensive, but a bit far (about 7 blocks) from the Center. This hotel is nice, but a step down from the usual La Quinta experience. I kept asking for a room with a mini-fridge and a microwave (like I had last time), but they said you have to ask especially for this when you register. "Cheap hotel in Austin Downtown"
I booked this one as other hotels were overbooked. This one is about 0.8 miles away from the Convention Center. Since I missed on the dates to book a cheaper hotel which is close to Convention Center I stayed at this location.

This was my first time in Austin and the staff was attentive and helpful in giving directions and transit tips to travelers. Other hoteliers should come here to see how a front desk, a valet parking attendant and all the staff should attend to the guest. I recommend the hotel highly!

Hotel wasn't very well kept. Walked into the room to find used blankets in the floor. That was a bad start. Then we walked into the bathroom to find it unclean with a dead cockroach in the middle of the floor. Overall, the hotel looked very sketchy and had random people knock on our room door. But, the location wasn't far from a fair amount of attractions […] and te downtown area with many clubs, bars and restraunts to choose from. I was in Austin last weekend to attend my son's college graduation at University of Texas and chose LaQuinta because of the location and price. I wasn't disappointed. The location was excellent. Not only was it within walking distance of the University, but its proximity to the State Capitol and the downtown area was great. In addition, the staff couldn't […] have been more helpful. Every employee was very, very friendly. However, our keycards needed daily re-programming to open the outer doors- at first we made it a joke, but the third day it was just annoying. Also, late one night our smoke alarm began the low-battery beeping. The front desk provided a fresh battery, but climbing on a chair to change it out was left for us to […] do. The location was convenient to the Capitol, University, and a few restaurants, but we used the car to go downtown; the valet service was fast and always asked if we needed directions. "Covenient spot...not covenient breakfast"
This hotel is very clean and the staff is courteous. Great location & handy valet. The only downside was the continental breakfast and coffee. Prepare to eat out for breakfast.

"unhappy with mandatory vale parking"
Hotel was very crowded, service fine with the heavy crowd. But it is rediculouse to have to pay to have your car parked in an easy parking garage. An extra$12.oo to have your car parked in a simple lot. I did not know this extra charge was part of the bill. Until check out. And I did not get my LaQuinta points because I booked with hotels .com.

My husband and I had wonderful stay. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. If have any reason to be in the downtown area around the Capitol again will differently stay at this location.

"Great location and price"
This hotel is in a great location, next to the capitol, close to everything for a very reasonable price. The free breakfast is great including a 'make your own waffle' option. Room was clean and comfortable. The free internet actually worked.
"overnight stay"
needed a hotel that allowed dogs for 1 night in Austin. driven by this hotel many times and didn't think much of it, but was pleasantly surprised. staff was great and the valet even helped me locate my wallet when it was missing at checkout. great location and would certainly go back, especially with 4-legged children.

Great location but thats about it - the property needs to be renovated. Seems like nothing has been repaired or replaced for a very long time. The people that work there are extremely helpful and polite.

It is a combination hote/motel. The rooms are basic but clean. great location next door to the State Capitol. Service was friendly and maintanence was prompt. Even though some rooms open up to the outdoors, hotel is safe with security on premises at all times.

we requested a non-smoking room...we had a late check-in and the room was a smoker....they moved us the next day to a non-smoker.....they said they did not recieve a request from hotel.com for the non-smoking room.........other than that our stay was very nice.....

I stayed at the La Quinta Capitol in Austin 4 nights for a business trip. My room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is within walking distance of the capitol, the south side of the university, Sixth Street restuarants, and downtown. Didn't spend a lot of time in the room, but I would stay there again.

This motel was okay and the price was right, except watch out for the mandatory valet parking fees. The capitol and the night life was well within walking distance. "La Quinta, Austin Capitol -- Clean & Friendly"
I stayed with 2 friends for 2 nights and we had a really lovely time. The room was clean and comfortable and the front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel was an easy walk to many of Austin's bars & restaurants plus other attractions. And the price was very reasonable!

Although the outside of the hotel looks pretty rough, once you get in the room, you'll be pleased. The rooms are big and comfortable. The breakfast is pretty good. The location is the most fantastic part about the property. In this location and for the money it CANNOT be beat!

Only complaint is that hotels.com did not indicate that there is a $13 mandatory charge for valet parking if you have your own car.
"A bit noisy"
Negatives first... 1) Some other tenants decided to stand outside and yell at each other from 2 to almost 4 a.m., which pretty well ruined much of my night's sleep. 2) The decaf package I used the first day was not replaced so I had nothing to drink the second day. 3) The tub closure didn't work well. When I pulled it out to try and get it to close, […] there was old hair on it. 4) The light over the sink only came on part of the time. On the positive side... 1) The staff was VERY helpful and friendly. 2) The free breakfast is a stroke of genius. "It's a great hotel if you want to be downtown..."
Last week was the 3rd time I've stayed at La Quinta Central Austin, and was just as happy as the last 2 times. They are a dollar busride away from the airport, only a few blocks from the 6th street nightlife and walking distance to anything downtown Austin. The rooms are clean and they have a Fridge and Microwave included, as well as breakfast.

The room was basic but clean. Television had limited channels. Limited to conservative news. The staff was freindly and helpful. No fridge. I will stay there again

Great place to stay if you're in town for the ACL music fest. We were able to leave our bikes behind the front desk in the lobby instead of hauling them up to our room each time.
