Kaupungin New York sydämessä sijaitseva The Michelangelo Hotel on kävelymatkan päässä kohteista Circle in the Square Theater, Rockefeller Center ja Broadway. Lähistöllä ovat myös Times Square ja Radio City Music Hall.

The Michelangelo Hoteln 179 ilmaistoidussa huoneessa on minibaari ja tallelokerot. Televisioissa on parhaat kaapeli-/satelliittikanavat ja maksulliset elokuvat. Huoneissa on työpöydät, ilmainen sanomalehti ja suoravalintapuhelimet sekä ilmainen vastaajapalvelu. Langaton ja langallinen nopea Internet-yhteys (maksullinen) on käytettävissä. Kylpyhuoneissa on kylpytakit, designer-hygieniatuotteet ja hiustenkuivaaja. Lisäpalveluihin kuuluvat silitysrauta / -lauta ja kelloradiot. Hotelli on kohtuullisen hintainen. Sijainti aivan metroaseman vieressä, josta pääsee manhattanille melko nopeasti. Aamiainen on ihan okei, tosin tilat on aika pienet, joten oli melko ruuhkaista välillä. Huoneet on todella siistit.

Sijainti oli todella hyvä. Hotelli sinänsä oli myös ihan hyvä ja palvelu oli moitteetonta. Huone oli pieni pettymys, kuvat olivat antaneet paremman kuvan huoneen kunnosta. Tosin hotellissa on varmasti parempi kuntoisempiakin huoneita. Mutta huone oli kuitenkin siisti ja palveli hyvin meidän tarpeita (kävimme pääasiassa siellä nukkumassa). Voisin suositella.

This hotel was great - the room was oversized and comfortable, the bed was great, the people at the front desk were warm and helpful, the location was perfect. My overall experience at the hotel was really fantastic and added to the enjoyment of my weekend in NYC.

"Large beautifully decorated rooms"
When we first went into our room, the first thing I noticed was the damp smell, then I saw the brick wall straight outside the window, making the room feel claustrophobic, it felt as though it was in a basement.. Being English and not liking to normally complain, we did tel reception and they immediately sent a porter to move our luggage to another […] room. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, with a view of the street, which was very welcome. My husband and I stayed one night in this hotel. The service was excellent, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the decor was beautiful. We highly recommend the Michaelangelo for a romantic weekend in the city.

"new to me, but now "a find'"
This was my first stay. The lobby was a bit dated looking, but the room was great. There is no coffee in the room, but room service came in 10 minutes. The continental breakfast was huge and tasty. The bar was quite nice, with excellent service. Hotel location is perfect for theater.

"Experience was average"
While the hotel was very nice, I was not overly impressed. I would likely try something different in the future, just to get a comparison (it was my first time in NY). Con(s): (1) While most of the staff members were very nice, a few were rude. My first talk (on the phone) with a member of the hotel staff was very disappointing (I found him to be […] very rude and unhelpful). (2) I noticed a number of other reviewers praised the size of the bathtub. Unfortunately for us, there was hair in the bathtub when we arrived -- which left us feeling uneasy about using anything other than the shower. (3) Price tags on various items in the room created a somewhat unwelcoming feel. I understand placing price tags on the mini-bar, but placing a price tag on the robes in the bathroom was a little excessive. (4) Not a very good view. Pro(s): (1) Big room (2) Little street noise for us (we were on one of the higher floors). Again, I'm not saying our stay was horrible -- just not remarkable for the amount we spent. Located a block from Rockefeller center, easy access to subway lines. Boutique feel to the hotel, everything was perfect: clean, well decorated rooms, pleasant and helpful service and great meal in the lobby restaurant. Highly recommend it!

This is a superb luxury boutique hotel on 51St. The location is great, just round the corner and it's within walking distance to Times Square, the Subway stations and some of the theatres. I stayed at the Hilton for 2 nights before moving to Michelangelo and I much prefer Michelangelo. I stayed there for 6 nights and was very comfortable in the spacious […] bedroom and a very lovely bathroom where the vanity area is separate from the bathroom. Very close to theaters, times square and not too far from central park. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Room was comfortable and large with a large bathroom and tub. Super comfy bed. Best thing was that you are close to all the action but the hotel itself and room was beautiful, quiet and cozy. Only complaint is that plumbing could be quite loud […] at times. Otherwise perfect! I booked this hotel based on the reviews on Hotel.com and I have to agree that it is a great find. I've stayed at many hotels in NYC, including the Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton and I have to say that the quality of the room was comparable (other than the bathroom). The room was decorated in opulent bordello style, offered no sky view (just an air shaft) and, worst of all, was incredibly hot and stuffy. There seemed to be no way to cool it down or introduce clean, fresh air. Love the Michaelangelo - always stay there when in NYC. Really miss the continental breakfast in the lobby. Basement accomodations more like a dungeon-definitely a downgrade in service. Otherwise still a great hotel in perfect neighborhood

The staff are very willing to help with all requests and treat you fabulously. This was our second stay and is a perfect place to stay for theater and MOMA.

"Comfort was lacking, but location was a plus"
Room was small, but clean. Bathroom could only accommodate one person at a time. The biggest complaint was the bed was too soft. The 3rd night I actually slept in the floor, because my back was hurting from the previous two nights. The 4th night, I tossed and tumbled all night. We were on the 7th floor and there was no ice machine. The nearest machine […] was on the 5th floor and it did not work. Staff didn't seem to be too concerned about it. "What a nightmare"
On new years eve I reserve a room at this hotel with a special someone to bring in the new year but as my dissapointment on the hotel staff that i was rudely interrupted by an intruder that cause my new year eve to be a nightmare. What happen was that the hotel staff let this intruder in the hotel without checking id at all. She came to my room using […] foul language and also I was concerned for my safety and my company that i was with, I asked security to call the police and in doing so i was told by security staff that it wouldnt be proper to call the police for this incident for the sake of the reputation of the hotel. Lovely hotel in an ideal location for the theatre district, great room, and very obliging staff..
