Rooms need some color. Front desk called in the middle of my kids nap to ask when we were checking out, however we were booked for 2 nights and it was an error on their end. General: Its a descent hotel but do not expect a 3-4 star experience. they have tried to give a rustic feeling to every part of the hotel (including bathrooms) which makes it look ugly to a certain extent. Spa and Sauna: Nice sauna but spa looked and smelled as if it is over-treated with chemicals which made me stay away from it. Happy hours: They have happy hours in the afternoon as well as late night (10-11). Pretty cheap beer and wines (50% off). Definitely a deal here. Room: Room is kind of ok. There is no coffee maker in the room so will have to count on a common coffee place next to the front desk. That coffee is usually disgusting, often burnt. Breakfast: Really bad and really really minimal. They will keep a small jar of juice and a small plate of few breads in the name of breakfast for everybody. Expect to spend on breakfast outside since you wont get anything in there. Please do not count on breakfast offerings if this is one of the criteria of your booking. Location: Excellent location. 968 Park Hotel was a nice change from the usual motels we stayed at. It's conveniently located within walking distance to the main strip and casinos. The room was a clean. easy walk to casinos, shopping and restaurants. I reserved 2 rooms and had tp pay $200 in incidentals. Thought this should had been told before I reserved the rooms. There is no forced air or heat so the room was 50 degrees when we got in it, Rooms are small but beds are great & very nicely decorated. Small fridge no blowdryer. Breakfast is after 6:30 so we didnt get anything but coffee before we […] left. My parents room had no hot water so I let the desk clerk know and he could care less. I stayed on this property for a couple of days with the family, the location and deco are great. The staff needs to be more attentive and customer oriented, it really brings the valu of the property down, the place is nice but the staff is slow and careless

This boutique is close to gondola and shopping. The staff, Chris, Tyler, Christina were very helpful in recommending places to eat, lift tickets, directions etc. A very comfortable place to stay for our ski weekend. And the bed is truly magic.

We went in early Feb 2012 for a quick family vacation in Tahoe and stayed 2 nights. With my husband, son and I we got a deluxe 2 queen room. We loved this place. Its not luxury class, but very comfortable. For the same star rating and price I was deciding between Harveyʻs and here, and glad I chose Park 968. I was visiting a friend in Reno last weekend and decided to go thru Tahoe and stay at the 968 Park Hotel on my way back home. I ended up getting in late Sunday evening, but check in was quick and the staff were friendly. The rooms are large, modernized and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The indoor hallways are nice until you realize you have to carry your stuff from the back parking lot! Not a huge deal but I guess I've gotten used to parking just outside my room at other places. Hotel 986 is convienenlty located 1 block away from Heavenly Village and a gondola that will put u in the mix to get some sking done, and there is a good shopping around also.

Was a very nice hotel. But there was noise in the hallway most of the night and our upstairs neighbors sounded like they were running laps around the bed begging at 4 AM.

I had been eyeing the 968 Park Hotel for awhile because they've had several deals on Living Social and Groupon for some time. I was able to snag a reservation through a last minute deal on Hotels.com. I'm glad we were able to get it - the location is great (we were able to walk to everything we wanted to do) and the hotel was very nice for the price. "Not What Is Advertised"
Overall I was very disappointed with this hotel. The information given indicated that the pool was heated and open year round. When we arrived, we were informed that the pool was closed for the winter. Also, we came back to our room around 8:00 p.m. and there was no hot water. We could not take showers at night. Maybe too many people taking showers. […] We were able to shower in the morning but we got up at 6:00 a.m. to do so. The beds were good, but the pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable (no support). We did not get much sleep because you could hear people above you, below you and in the hall when they came back to their rooms. You could hear cars pull up in the parking lot. You could hear traffic outside. Apparently, they did not do anything about noise reduction when they remodeled this hotel. The person who checked us in was very nice but after we checked in there was no one around to answer any questions or help with issues (i.e., no hot water). I understand that this hotel is organic, but the room we had did not smell clean. It smelled like someone had sprayed air freshener but the underlying unclean smell was still there. Loved the decor of this hotel! The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The only complaint I have is that you can hear everything in the hallway. So when loud guests come home late you will most likely hear them. Other than that it was a great hotel.
"968 Park Hotel - Breakfast Incuded-Not"
Our final decision to book this hotel was based on the fact a breakfast was included. All that was available was Tea/Coffee, Juice and a Slice of Cake. All other aspects of stay were fine.
Rooms were clean. Helpiful front desk - Gave good recommendations. Had to ask for replacement towel when we left dirty towels on the floor (after a couple of usages). Volume echoed in rooms/hallways at night.
Everything was great but paint those headboards and the experience would be exquisite. Being green didn't keep you from painting the sheet rock in each room Thank you.

"968 Park Hotel - Nice "motel""
The 968 Park hotel is a nice, clean, adequate "motel". My husband and I stayed for two nights in a deluxe king room. The bathroom consisted of a tub shower and toilet in a very small separate room. A modern bowl sink attached to a wooden table served as the vanity, which was out in the bedroom area.. If you are someone who uses a lot of makeup and hair […] products, there is not much room surrounding the sink. The decor, while a novel idea, is not anything to write home about and not as impressive looking as in the website photos but functional enough. The bed was the best part of our stay, as it was extremely comfortable. Lighting in the rooms and the entire motel was noticably dim. Breakfast consists of pastery/bread items, juice and coffee. Enouhg to get you going til you find a real breakfast or lunch place to eat. Parking was a challenge since the spaces were under the building between the pillars which held up the structure. If you drive anything larger than a Mini Cooper, Smart Car, or motorcycle, you may definitely want to stay somewhere with better parking. There is limited open parking behind the building but guests got smart to it and pretty much everyone who could park back there did. The location is excellent; walking distance to the casinos, shopping, food and the beach, so if you are just plain looking for a comfy bed with budget-friendly, clean and basic amenities, this is the place for you. I will definitely stay at 968 again when we visit South lake tahoe next time. Just staying there made me feel that I am part of 'making the earth greener'. The price was also affordable and the staffs were super helpful.

romantic stay, beds are super comfortable - stayed in a king and was just drawn to sleep (was snowing during the stay) - on the other hand, the pillows are rather uncomfortable (so bring your own if you can). Tv is great, but don't bother bringing auxillary cables, etc to attach a laptop - the tv is bolted to the wall and you can't get to them. Room […] is small, but just enough for a king and plenty of room for suitcases. Large wardrobe, full length mirror, cute sink that is rather low. Green chic is very nice. happy hour from 4-5 and 10-11 PM (3 dollar beers) and fantastic staff. If you call, they will match internet deal prices. Large hot tub and sauna indoors, outdoors pool.
