The Lodge and Spa at Breckenridge - Breckenridge

We have stayed at this hotel twice now and love the location. The views of the mountains are spectacular. We visited during mud season, so many places were closed. The Continental breakfast was very sparse and not at all impressive. I am assuming this was due to the low season, but we still love this place1

We stayed two nights (4/4 and 4/5/12) while visiting Breckenridge for late spring skiing.. Check in was easy although carrying the bags up the stairs to our room was an excersise because there is no elevator. That's fine though. We enjoyed the hottub and continental breakfast. The breakfast exceeded our expectation and included fruit, cereal, bagels, […] and toast and more. WiFi worked fine in the lobby area and they also have a computer and priinter which is helfpful for printing our airline boarding passes. The shuttle service driver was friendly and on-time. We didn't get a chance to use the exercise equipment on the lower floor but the machines appeared in good shape. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Unfortunately you always seem to remember the bad things the most.The people in the room above us left their dog in their room early in the morning and the dog frantically barked and barked and barked. Very satisfied. No problems.

This was our second stay, and once again enjoyed ourselves immensely. Utilized the spa this time and hd one of the best massages! Highly recommend the Lodge and Spa. Very friendly and beautiful, peaceful location.

This hotel was just what I was looking for at a very reasonable rate.

The hotel is really nice and comfortable, but we had a not so comfortable situation over this weekend: When we got there at night to sleep, we noticed that the bed was really hard and my girfriend could not sleep all night. In the morning we realized that there was not a matress: we slept on the spring box. I complained on the front desk and the manager […] just said that he would take a note of that. This was the most uncomfortable bed ever! That's why we gave the room such a low score. The views were great, however nothing makes up for a terrible night's sleep. We also could hear the guest above us entering their room early in the morning (2am) and walking around their room. Views are amazing. Great place to stay for spring skiing. They could use a picture or two on the walls in the room. Staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

We were told we didn't need a car to get to the slopes when we called - complete lie. The slopes are across the street. The use of the word "suite" is used incredibly loosely - small cramped room with the previous inhabintants trash still in the room. The bed was very uncomfortable. The sleeper sofa fits one child! Rollaway bed - uncomfortable. Continental […] breakfast was minimal with an attendant who didn't speak English. The hotel location is nice and isolated, yet not too far from town. the lobby has anice rustic air to it. But when we got to our room, the sink looked like it had a crack. We did not thinkit was that big a deal as we've been to other hotels wth cracks on the sink. However, when we we were getting ready to go to be that night, while briushing our teeth, […] we felt some water splashing on our leg. It turned out the crack on teh sink was actually a hole and the water was leaking on the bathroom floor. It minimize the spalshing, we ended putting a towel under the sink. Very old decor. Badly in need of an update. Parking lot was a sheet of ice everywhere. West facing rooms were hot when the sun was setting, and A/C didn't work. Some of the shutters were broken so couldn't see the view even when sun was in the east. No service on Sunday. Continental breakfast was very limited.

I brought my two young daughters up to Breck for our yearly boarding trip. Randomly picked this place because it was a great price.Found the room to be very comfortable and the waffles for brekfast a great treat in the morning. One of the best experiences was the lodge's shuttle van and driver that took me and my lil girls from the lodge to the ski […] lift, let us keep our comfy shoes in the van, then picked us up at the end of our boarding day when we called his cell number and took us back to the lodge. The Lodge and Spa was the perfect romantic get-away for my husband and I. A friend referred us, and she was right; it was a comfortable, lodge-feel with absolutely beautiful views. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful - even offering suggestions when we asked about where to buy swimwear and where to find good Italian food. Its back in the woods area so watch which route your phone gives you to get there. There is a shuttle/driver that will take you to town and pick up and works on gratuity. The hotel is older, simple but cozy. Out room was quite, didn't hear anyone else except the pipes when someone used the water above us. The bed was uncomfortable, sheets were nice […] and breakfast was a nice spread to meet anyone's choice. I would stay here again. Barking dogs throughout day and night. No service. No bar or restaurant. 2 hot tubs side by side-basic plain boring. This place was not inviting and certainly did not have us feeling that we were in a Lodge or even a quaint Lodge atmosphere.

I do have one warning for people staying overnight. This hotel is above 10,000 ft (more than 1000 ft above Breckenridge). There is a condition called HAPE- high altitude pulmonary edema, that can occur if you sleep above 10,000 ft, especially without acclimating for a few days above 8000. I had never heard of it until I awoke in the middle of the second […] night with breathing issues. The hotel staff should be made aware of this issue and have oxygen canisters on hand, but they are only available in the spa, which was not open until 9am. Lisätietoja

Breck rocks first of all. This was 1 stop in a 2 week snowboarding trip starting in Vail, CO ending in Big Sky, MT! The facility was okay, the continental breakfast was stellar! Service at the front desk was extremely casual and unhelpful. I asked to break a larger bill for smaller (tipping purposes) and the gent at the desk said "maybe" and then was […] unable to aconodate the request. The snowboadng was phenominal!!!! We enjoyed our stay! Everything went well but the only thing I would say was not 100% was that the maintanence crew was draining the hot tub when we came out to get in. It was disappointing but overall a great experience.

I will never stay here again!! No amenities. Dirty rooms. The ceiling fan above my bed had over 1/2 of an inch of dust accumulation. Room was shabby and building exterior was beyond "rugged" dogs barking at night and running around hot tub area so I couldn't even go in. Yuck!!!!!!

We chose this hotel for our one night stay because they allowed pets and now we will return in the future. The folks are very nice, the outdoor spas great, the views wonderful, the rooms large and clean(though the walls are a bit thin), and Waffles for breakfast! We enjoyed our stay at the Lodge at Breckenridge. The room was large and had a gas fireplace. We even had a continental breakfast in the morning from 7 - 10 am.

This hotel is about 4 miles out of town. It seemed to be completely booked, but was VERY peaceful. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The room wasn't completely clean=papers etc on the floor from the previous occupant. I was a tired business traveler and appreciated the nice bed and bedding as well as the quiet of this setting. Amazing views, nice […] hotel staff. No internet in the room, but it was nice to do paperwork at a table by the fireplace looking out at the beautiful mountains of Breckenridge. We booked the property due to a very good rate for Breckenridge and a lot of 4 star reviews being listed. This is not a 4 star property. It is comparable to a better budget property, though the rustic lodge feel certainly gets your hopes up when you pull up to the property. Excellent quiet location. Only 10min to town or slopes by car/shuttle.

We stayed at the Lodge for two nights in a suite with an amazing view! The kitchen was a bit small, but worked out fine. The place was super cozy and we loved the continetal breakfast. I think the place needs a bit of updating, but overall, it was a fantastic experience!

If you are looking for a ski weekend, this is not the best location. The rooms are nice and are very pretty with the fireplace but it is a hassle having to go down the mountain to do anything. The shuttle made it a bit better but if you are looking to have a ski weekend I would recommend a different place. I booked this room for my 3 favorite boys- my husband, my 20 year son and my 13 year old son. They stayed one night and skied 2 days in Breckenridge. I have never been told," Mom, that hotel was great... get it again for us" until this time.
