Hyatt Place Richmond/Arboretum - Richmond

The hotel itself was very nice, once you entered the hotel it smelled like cologne (either someone had some REALLY strong cologne or it was just the air fresher), either way I enjoyed the scent. The room was very nice and spacious. I enjoyed my stay overall but I think there was something wrong with the room I was in, the bathroom kept acting weird […] when flushed and upon entering my room on the last night, there was a bad odor as if there was a dead mouse somewhere or something, it eventually went away but it annoyed me a lot. We stayed in a suite and it was terrific. Two queen beds and a fold out couch that wasn't bumpy. The staff was good and the breakfast was just the right amount of gourmet and healthy and tasty. It feels like you are being pampered and that they company has thought of every little convenience to make your stay great. We really liked this hotel.

First the good - The staff at the front desk and in the breakfast room were very professional and polite. The breakfast was far better than most free hotel breakfasts. The hotel is also very quiet, in a good area and has all the amenities needed. However - my room was not what I would expect from a Hyatt. It almost looked as though the housekeeper just […] gave up once she/he got to this room. The bathroom was especially gross. Staff is awesome and the hotel bar is always a blast!

Alright place but seems a little run down since I was there two years ago. Air conditioner turns on during the night with a bang so it woke me up numerous times.

Very nice hotel, friendly employees, and very nice surrounding neighborhood!! I would give this hotel an A+

Great place, good price, really good room. The only complaint I would have is that they advertize a 24/7 dining experience, and no one would answer the galley phone at 12:55am. Really wanted a pizza. No answer at the front desk either. Good breakfast.

I book all of my business travelers here when in the Richmond area and they are very happy here.

A very nice hotel with a healthy breakfast A+.

Stayed there for 3 days. Nice and clean hotel. Good location. Minutes from the mall and other familiar stores like Target, CVS, IHOP, etc. We will stay there again.

I love that this hotel provides tooth paste! Just so practical.

I had a very pleasant stay and me and my toddler enjoyed the friendly staff and service. Loved our room, especially loved the wi-fi and flat screen tv. Also, special note to one of the workers who worked the kitchen at breakfast, waffle wasn't cooked right, didn't really complain but she was courteous enough to ask how everything was. Hotel is older & has been updated but still shows it's age in places. The entire hotel (aside from lobby) had intense smell of carpet cleaner such as is used in CHEAP motels to cover cigarette odors etc.. This smell was so overwhelming in the room that had my reservation not been non refundable I would have checked out immediately. Totally unacceptable […] in a three star hotel in this price range. Parking lot poorly lit with many trees which look nice but add to a less than safe feeling late at night (particularly in that area of Richmond). Area around pool (outside the fenced part with the pool itself, which had yellowish water) was strewn with empty drink/beer bottles/cans, cigarette butts, etc. (although trash was gone the next day). This is an excellent hotel. It's in a great area, and it's where we choose to come a couple times a year when we want to have an evening to ourselves.

I found my room very comfortable and spacious. The staff in the lobby was particularly friendly and helpful...especially when I was checking out. I had heard about a major traffic accident that was on northbound I-95 -- right where I had to drive. Although the gentleman at the desk didn't know about the accident, he went out of his way to get me a map […] and show me a way to get around the traffic mess. My ONLY suggestion was about the free breakfast. There was a touch screen to place orders for eggs, etc. I wasn't sure if this was part of the free breakfast or it would be charged to my room. Now, as it turns out I really didn't want eggs, etc. and I did just fine with the fruit and cereals that were there. I just thought they needed to make it clear about the cooked-to-order items. I imagine that it could be problematic if a family placed an order and then had a charge they didn't expect. Besides that, I though this Hyatt Place was great. Lisätietoja

Quality hotel at a reasonable price.

Stayed one night in a spacious room with 2 double beds and a sofa bed. Clean, well appointed for a 3 star hotel. Convenient to restaurants in a quiet neighborhood. Just passing through, but couldn't have asked for better accomodations. Continental breakfast could have offered more selection of bakery products.

The rooms, look exactly like the pictures. However they also offer you a large desk and an extra sink in the sitting area. The couch and loveseat in the sitting area are huge. It was very nice that they have a little cafe where you could order food or wine. We were able to purchase a bottle of wine from the cafe and take it up to our room. The hotel […] was only 30 minutes away from Kings Dominion. It's perfect for a lil getaway with friends, family, or your significant other. stylish, fairly new hotel. I loved that they had a check-in kiosk, just like at the airport. We experienced a freak torrential rainstorm when we visited that wound up resulting in a pipe bursting near our room, but staff quickly provided us with an identical suite. a little bit out of downtown area, but easily accessible (10 min) by car. Constant toilet issues in the room were a problem. Staff was very helpful.

The Hyatt staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and pleasant.

Hotel was convenient to my meeting destination, and close to plenty of restaurant options. Room was very nice. Spotty reception on the TV (and the lack of more variety of channels) are the only drawbacks.

the young lady at the front desk made my daughter an expresso at 3:00am. Very Nice of Her.

the layout and price of the room were excellent. We have stayed at nearby hotels and this compared favorably

My husband and stayed at this hotel for the Richmond NASCAR race April 2011. We really enjoyed everything. I love their king size beds, they're so comfy, and the staff is always super nice. Our room and stay was perfect, except for the fact our stay wasn't long enough! Would highly recommend this hotel!

I stay here every time I'm in Richmond. The staff is always very friendly and professional. The beds are very comfortable and the pool is nice. I will continue to stay there when I need to be in Richmond.

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times. It's always been outstanding (except for not having a restaurant - I love room service!). I was really surprised with the room I got this trip. There were some pretty big stains on the carpet and on the sofa. And the A/C had been turned up so high that the room was stagnant when I went in from being so stuffy […] and hot. It took a while to get it cooled off. Otherwise, like always, it was nice, quiet and overall clean. It's a nice hotel & I'll continue to stay there. Lisätietoja
