Love the omni. Housekeeping came early, and never came back. $20 for valet parking is steep but expected.

We took our Yorkie with us adthe staff was wonderful. If she needed company they would come and get her and take her to the securiy area. Great place and very doggie friendly.

Lacked only coffee available in lobby. Otherwise, very nice.
We were put in a room on the 10th floor which smeeled a little strange. On returning to the room later that evening, the smell was unbearable, it smelt mouldy and old. The staff were very pleasant and gave us another room on the 17th floor, but it was inconvenient to have to move all our belongings at 11.00pm.

Great location and very friendly staff. The only problem was some previous occupant was smoking in our room and the smell lingered POWERFULLY! I probably should have asked for a room change. The shower was a little weird but we figured it out.

We enjoyed our stay. We had a vehicle which helped since we had to drive almost everywhere to locate food over the weekend and to sightsee. The rooms were very clean and the staff superbly helpful.

"Parking issues"
Surprise charges we didn't expect - either you valet park for $20/night or you park yourself and pay the garage $21/night. Would have appreciated knowing this beforehand. also, when we needed a cab, we actually thought you would call for us, but no, you gave us a number to call ourselves. No biggie, just strange.

"Beautiful, but noisy"
Very beautiful hotel with rooms extremely clean and well appointed. Downside was our entire floor was booked with a young girls soccer team that were in and out of doors most of the evening. Slamming doors and talking loudly and the parents were as bad. They apparently were checking out at the crack of dawn on Sunday and walked and talked up and down […] the hallway as if they were the only guests. I complained to the front desk and they gave me a $30 credit on valet parking. I told them that in the future I would make sure that guests are as far from large groups like this as possible. Our stay was ruined by rowdy neighbors on two of our three nights there. Despite our complaints, and those of other adults on the floor, we were plagued by college students who used the hallway as their bar and partied all night long. We lodged complaints from 2:00 AM to 5:15 AM on the first night of the disturbances, and for a comparable period on […] the second night, which was our final night at this hotel. The disturbances ended when hotel security threatened to throw the students out at 4:00 AM on the day of our departure. So we left with two nights' seriously disturbed sleep. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel and the room were luxurious and comfortable. The staff was excellent. We had a problem with the shower which was repaired immediately. Wonderful towels and bed linens. The bed was a little too soft for me, but otherwise very nice. The hotel was quiet and it was a relaxing weekend.
"Only if you get a good deal"
I would only recommend this hotel if you were to get a cheap deal on hotels.com like I did. Otherwise the valet parking is $20 a night and there aren't many other options nearby for any cheaper so include that in your budget before you go. "WONDERFUL"
This was our second time at the Omni. Everything about the hotel is very inviting. It is only a short walk to great restaurant. Definitely will stay again and again.

The hotel staff was easy to deal with, including the front desk, valet, etc. The Omni is close to lots of great stuff to do and good restaurants too. My only complaint would be that the non-smoking room we stayed in was obviously converted because it had seen its fair share of cigs. What a nice experience it was to stay at the Omni Richmond! The staff made you feel VERY welcome and was always right there to help or answer a question. The valet parking was great - never a wait or a problem! The rooms are very comfortable and nice ammenities too!

"OMNI ,DOWNTOWN RICHMOND"
NICE PROPERTY , IN AN AREA WITH VARIED EATERIES & SHOPPING OPTIONS. THE FOOD @ THE HOTEL WAS SUPERB. HOWEVER THE GYM IS NOT ONSITE. YOU CAN USE A YMCA IN THE ATRIUM COMPLEX, WHICH IS CLOSED ON SUNDAY. ALSO THE POOL IN THE HOTEL WAS CLOSED FOR REPAIRS. THIS INFO IS NOT LISTED ON THE OMNI WEB SITE. "Omni in Richmond"
This hotel sponsors several wedding parties and our stay was a disaster. The hotel guests were loud, banging walls/doors at all hours of the night an day. The hotel staff was accommodating and offered a voucher for a free night.

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. It's convenient to the train station and lots of great restaurants. This time, however, we were a bit disappointed. The bed seemed much smaller than the queen size we had asked for, and the air conditioning didn't seem to work very well. We are so happy with the Richmond Omni, the service was exceptional, the location the best in this city and the room and meal service was exemplary. A great place to stay.
The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Room was immaculate and nicely decorated.
