Olimme lomalla, kaupunki entuudestaan tuttu, joten tiesimme sijainnin, ja se on ihanteellinen. Hancock Tower nurkan takana, ja siitä alkaa magnificent Mile. Toiseen suuntaan muutama sata metriä ja pääset aamulenkille pitkin Chicagon upeita rantoja. Hotelli oli ihan siisti, sinänsä varsin hyvässä kunnossa, kokolattiamatot tietysti joka paikassa, kuten […] tapaan kuuluu, mutta kuuma oli. Huoneessa ei joko ilmastointi toiminut tai oli alitehoinen, siellä oli tukalan kuuma. Lattia antoi hieman periksi paikoin (ilmeisesti levyjen nurkissa), mutta se ei ei haitannut. Toinen haittaava ongelma oli wc-pöntön jatkuva tukkeentuminen, ja hieman kuulostelin, että veden kanssa oli hieman ehkä yleisemminkin ongelmaa. Päivystäjä oli kyllä aina paikalla parissa minuutissa fiksaamassa ongelman. Aamulla sai kahvia, jos haluaa enemmän, saa lähialueen kuppiloista mukavia bageleita. Eli: jos olet visiitillä, ja haluat liikkua ydinkeskustassa, on tämä hyvä vaihtoehto. Luksusta ei, mutta ihan kelpo ja hinta ok. Huoneet isoja, mahtuu useampikin perheenjäsen. Jos vähänkin tuntee paikkoja, niin cta:lla (juna) chicagon asemalle ja bussilla 66 joka lähtee maanalisesta noustua risteyksen vastakkaiselta puolelta rantaa kohti, ja jää pois Michigan avenuen kohdalla) (turisti-info), siitä on kahden korttelin kävelymatka. 2,25 usd. Hotel had excellent location and decent price for downtown hotel. Not own restaurant, but room service if needed. Nice and spacious rooms

All in all its an okay hotel. I realize $500 for a room in downtown Chicago is relative, but I would have expected a better experience. I had a suite, but the room felt somewhat empty and the bathroom had a shower without a full door/curtain so the floor always got wet throughout (no drain in floor). Valet took 30 minutes to bring the car, which would […] be fine, but they told me 10mintues and following those rules made me late for a meeting. The bar on the 18th floor was great. Although at one point I'm sure it was a nice boutique hotel, I was very disappointed with my room experience Shabby decor , peeling paint , stained carpets , dripping bathroom faucets , dated television , poor lighting , horrible furniture relation to room scale . This hotel was recommended by a good friend who admitted hadn't stayed here in three years […] . Perhaps time hasn't been so kind to the rooms but management needs to upgrade if they are charging these prices . Stayed here for two nights to celebrate a birthday .. 4 sisterinlaws all with opinions .. We all liked this very much from service to check in to its location. Not only was service spectacular the hotel was very clean.. I am crazy about how clean a hotel room should be and it passed with flying colors. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well decorated. It's located in Streeterville, a great Chicago neighborhood at the heart of the hustle and bustle and steps from the lake. I rarely, if ever, review a hotel. But the service at this hotel was so awful, I had to leave a review to warn others. I travel frequently, and no matter the quality of the hotel, I expect the front desk staff to be knowledgeable and friendly. The staff encountered at this hotel, however, were rude, condescending, and gave responses with a smirk and […] a roll of the eyes. The daytime concierge was the one saving grace of this hotel, as he was magnificently-helpful, but the Magnificent Mile has far too many options to want to deal with a staff this unprofessional. When I went to Chicago with family this past week, a friend recommended the Raffaello Hotel. I booked two rooms at a very good rate and off we went. Upon arrival, I saw that discounted parking was right across the street. At check-in, the desk clerk asked if I would like to be upgraded from two double beds to a King suite--which I did. Our other room […] was a standard king. My sister and her husband took the King suite and my daughter and I took the standard room. The standard room was very clean and efficient. The room was smallish, but we didn't plan on spending a lot of time there. The shower took a little time to figure out (some instruction would be helpful). A complimentary shower cap would have been appreciated, since it was a rain shower.The beds were wonderfully firm and comfortable, and there was almost no noise at night. I had a good nights sleep. In the morning, after my shower, I tried to make a cup of coffee with the Kerig provided (no decaf, only regular coffee). The Kerig wouldn't work, and the front desk sent up the housekeeping supervisor. She couldn't get the Kerig to work either, and so she brought me a carafe of coffee immediately. I was impressed that she went right to solving the problem instead of trying to bring me another coffee maker. The Raffaello Hotel is a really good hotel in the Water Tower district. The stay was fantastic, a great location. The food in the restaurant was incredible & the drum bar on the rooftop was totally cool. The only thing I could complain about was room service, not the food, but the price. 8$ for an order of toast, are you kidding me. How many loaves of bread can you buy with 8$? The rooms are beautiful, the staff is very kind, it has a good gym. And the location couldn't be better! I highly recommend the Raffaello.

The hotel was nice and the location was perfect for our needs, although we ended up using a sofa bed for my son and it was very uncomfortable. Location was great. Parking nearby was reasonable, although the hotel's web site either didn't include parking info or it was well hidden.

Great area and quiet area at night. The rooms are tiny so if you're traveling with someone for more than 3 days, is suggest paying extra here or elsewhere for space (I know they're pressed for space but no toilet cover??). Service was good, room cleaned promptly and only thing we had to ask for we're hangers as there were none in our closet. The Drumbar […] is nice for a nightcap but definitely a younger 20 something crowd with seriously loud disco beats making it hard to talk - ok if you just want to people watch. the hotel lacks consistency. the "Drumbar" is not operated by the hotel hence no housephone. the front desk at 3pm could not change a $20,bill except with simgles, when requesting in room coffee refills we discovered housekeeping was not responsible, room service was, thus 2 calls were necessary.

Nice hotel but poor value for money. I would expect free wifi for the amount I was paying. Also, pity the guest sleeping on the upper floors near the rooftop bar - make sure you take your earplugs.

Room was small but very clean and otherwise comfortable. Location is very good for holiday or business visit. The only criticism is parked cars in front of the entrance. While the door staff was immediately there to assist it was necessary to double park upon arrival

The people working there are super friendly. The room we got was a suite gigantic. Little noisy at night but not a big deal. The location is excellent in the heart of downtown. The rate are not huge for a 4 stars: 300$ for 2 nights. I enjoyed my stay at this boutique hotel. It is a charming place that used to be a dormitory for the Northwestern University nursing students years ago. There was a bit of confusion when I arrived on where my room would be. After a 15 minute wait, I was upgraded to a nice suite on the second floor! Room was on the smallish side. Two small elevators for a hotel with 18 floors and about 12 rooms per floor is inadequate and results in long waits and crowded conditions. Otherwise we like this hotel, the service and great location.

...there is no door on the shower. It's a rain shower, so it's not a huge deal, but you do have to be aware so as not to soak the dry towels.

Very small room. No lobby. No breakfast buffet. The only good thing is that it is close to expensive stores. And close to the lake. Not for my kind for sure.

Awesome donuts for breakfast. But, that's all. Also, my last night there, the roof leaked and drips kept me up from 0200 to when I left. Weak wifi signal that I had to pay for. I'll proably look elsewhere next time in town. Meh value for the money

You can't ask for a better location than this hotel. The adjoining restaurant was terrific and the donut shop in the lobby is divine. However, the bathroom needed a little maintenance (the toilet wobbled, the faucets were wonky), and the elevator situation is a bit comical. Don't attempt to use them in the late morning during heavy checkout times.
