Huoneissa kokolattiamatto mikä hiukan likainen mutta siedettävä. Ympäristö rauhallinen ja hotelli sopii kaveriporukalle, perheelle jne.

If I would have been on a holiday, the hotel would have been a little above my budget. The personel were very nice and helpful. My conference was in Wailea, which is a town some 5 kilometers away. However, I could get there easily with the Maui Coast Hotel's shuttle service (included in the resort charge). In fact, if I would have known about this beforehand, I wouldn't have needed to rent a car for the duration of my stay at the hotel. When I checked out, I accidentaly left my ipod in the safe in my room and only noticed it a couple of days later. However, the maid had found it and it was waiting for me at the lost and found. To me this speaks very highly of the trustworthiness of the staff!

"Five nights on a holiday"

The hotel is starting to get a little old, and is not very fancy, but personally I do not mind. The rooms was clean and the service was good. The room was not very big compared to usual hotel rooms in the USA, but it was more than enough for me (and it would have been sufficient for 2 persons as well). The area near the harbor is not very pleasant, so I wouldn't choose this hotel for a romantic getaway. However, I mostly just spent the nights there, and otherwise took the care to other parts of the island. For that, the location was convenient. On the positive side there are two malls nearby, and the airport is close too.

Hotels.comin asiakkaan arvostelu elo 16, 2012Wailuku on melkoisen pelkistetty pikkupaikka, jossa ei turistiviihdykettä juuri ole. Ihmiset kaupungissa ovat kuitenkin lämminsydämisiä ja auttavaisia ja jos kaipaa oikeaa tämän hetken Hawaii:a niin paikka on loistava. Bussilla pääsee kulkemaan melko hyvin, mutta missä tahansa saarella asuukin, niin auton vuokraus on kohtuu välttämätöntä jos haluaa kaikki nähtävyyden käydä katsomassa. Wailukusta saa auton paljon halvemmalla (n. 175 taalaa/vko) kuin esim. kentältä. Guesthouse on vierasmajaksi ihan mahtava paikka ja majatalon pitäjä on melkoinen persoona ehdottomasti hyvässä mielessä. Huoneissa ilmastointi, mikro, TV/DVD, pihassa mukava lämmitetty allas, paljon allasleluja, grilli, pöytiä ja aurinkotuoleja ja kaunis piha-alue.

Hotels.comin asiakkaan arvostelu heinä 3, 2012Maui Kamaole sijaitsi hyvällä paikalla lähellä uimarantaa ja palveluja (ruokakauppa, ravintolat, ohjelmapalvelut ja turistimyymälät). Palvelu vastaanotossa oli erittäin ystävällistä ja selkeää. Varaamassamme asunnossa (H-109) oli paljon tilaa ja sen siisteys miellytti. Omatoimiset aamupalat omalla merenrantanäkymäterassilla voittivat mielestämme hotelliaamiaiset mennen tullen. Asumisen etuja Maui Kamaolessa olivat oma hyvin varusteltu keittiö, pyykinpesukone ja kuivausrumpu, grillipaikat, 2 uima-allasta, ilmainen nettiyhteys vastaanoton viereisellä altaalla, yövartiointi, ilmainen pysäköinti vuokra-autolle ja hyvät tenniskentät. Saimme olla omassa rauhassa vailla meluhaittoja liikenteestä tai muista vieraista. Täydet arviointipisteet meiltä olisivat edellyttäneet hieman hiljaisempaa ilmastointia, kokolattiamatottomuutta sekä hintaan kuuluvaa internet-yhteyttä itse asunnossa.

"Great ocean view hotel"
The ocean view was so worth it...loved waking up and only needing to lift my head to see the expansive ocean view. Parking was convenient and well priced for our rental car. The food options were limited late night when we arrived and were stuck purchasing a really overpriced "meal" in the trading company store. I also wish I was told that if I didn't […] use the pool towel card that it needed ot be returned or you were charged $20 (appartently the fine print on the card says so). Luckily I kept it. The room was clean and the room staff was pleasant. The security staff were rude and arrogant (scolding guests who parked in the wrong spots rather than helping them or showing them where to park and weren't very helpful in general). "Nothing royal about it"
The rooms are really small, 3.5 star? More like a cheap motel, especially the bathroom, I have not seen a smaller bathroom, yes even comparing to cheap motels. Only decent part is the bed and downstairs lobby. I had made reservations months in advance for my wife, daughter and I. When we arrived they had put us in the hotel tower with a king bed. We had requested a cottage. We also added a person to our reservations when we got there ( which was suppose to be $35.00 extra per day, I did not have a problem with that). Long and short, we ended up waiting for […] 2 hours beyond the time they told us it would be ready and somehow with the extra and the "much nicer" room it was an extra $458.00. The room was big, but was older and had a fold out couch and day bed as the extra bed. As I sat in the lobby waiting it seems like a car sales job, trying to get everyone to upgrade. That part of our stay was disappointing. From that point on though the stay in Maui was nice. We found we really had no need for the pools though, as we swam in the beautiful ocean. Nice beach. The hotel is in a great location and has a wonderful beach. The property itself was wonderful and I would stay there again. We stayed in a 2 bedroom garden cottage and I would not stay in one of these units again. We chose this for the size and it was large and allowed our family of 5 to have plenty of room. They were clean but very old, run down, smelled […] funny as well as being very outdated. These units are expensive for what you get. We sprayed some Febreze and enjoyed our stay but if we go back I would book a room in the tower. Everyone at the resort was very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was good as well as the luau. We’re sorry to hear that this guest was not pleased with the outcome regarding the plumbing issue in their room towards the end of their stay. As it was explained, the toilette and shower are set up with two separate plumbing systems with separate venting systems as well. It is likely that the shower drain was clogged, coincidentally, at the same time the toilette was flushed. We did apologize for the inconvenience, and immediately went to clear the shower drain, which has been functioning properly ever since. We realize that unexpected issues may occur that are unpleasant, and everything we do to correct them is an effort to make our guests’ stay more comfortable and enjoyable, and we always encourage guests to let us know if they are not pleased on how we handle any situation, and what we can do so that they do feel satisfied. We regret not being one of their best experiences in Maui, however we remain thankful for the feedback, and hope they enjoyed their Maui Vacation. A hui hou!

It took a while to check in and we were sent to the bar for complimentary drinks after being told our room wasn't ready for a second time (well after the check-in time). We had a partial view of the ocean and the golf course which was still amazing anyhow. We were very lucky to see whales many times from our room and beach. We definitely recommend hiring […] a car. Past reviewers complained that the walk from the furthest carpark was far - it really wasn't (2-3 minute walk). We wouldn't stay here again because for the price we paid, you would think that snorkelling gear, beach gear would be complimentary as well as toothbrushes and toothpaste. Our toilet had some problems flushing as well. All in all, the location is fantastic and the rooms are clean and spiffy. As a resort, you would assume a few items would be complimentary. We had a fantastic stay at the Royal Lahaina. The property is extremely well located with easy access anywhere in Maui. The highlight of our stay has to be the resort's staff. We went for our 35th wedding anniversary this year and we had gone 10 years ago for our 25th. We were told when we booked we could get an upgrade because of our anniversary and get ocean front, which they did before on our 25th also, when they found out it was our anniversary. When we asked about it..they said no, they don't do that. So I don't know […] where the wires got crossed but the person at the desk, wasn't helpful and didn't want to talk about it...everyone else there was Super! Nothing special for a room--quite small actually. Couple things that weren't fair: 1. I guess because of how I booked the room I was given a lovely view of a roof and some satellite dishes. 2. I have to pay for Internet !???? Wow! 3. The staff were ok but when I wanted to check in early I ruffled feathers and as a result my stuff was simply left sitting […] in the lobby for 1/2 the day. I loved staying here and I wish we could have stayed longer! Our cottage was right on the beach and we felt so relaxed. Also, I have to say that it was by far my favorite Mai Tai of the trip. The only negative is that the room was absolutely freezing without anyway of changing the thermostat. The wi-fi internet connectivity was unreliable for personal laptops and mobile devices (for those of us from outside of the US. Although the hotel provided guest computers, service was limited to 15 minutes and there was always a line-up. There is no fitness centre, and the two pools were very small for the number of guests (one right in front of the […] restaurant). However, the beach was beautiful, with a fabulous view of the sunset. And there were great paths for walking and running. The restaurant offered a good menu and a great breakfast buffet, plus nightly entertainment during happy hour and dinner. The Resort also offers a fabulous luau at a good price. This was the best hotel / resort on our holiday in Hawaii. The location on the beach and the views were superb. The close proximity to golf, restaurants and water sports made it easily walkable to all. The hotel restaurant had a varied menu but a tad pricey. We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I'd read the reviews which were mixed, and was a little unsure about what to expect. However, we had a great room on the 9th floor with a balcony and gorgeous ocean view. The room was clean and very nicely done with a tasteful, modern decor and was a nice size for two. The only strange thing […] was that the sink outside the bathroom looked like a kitchen sink, but it was the bathroom sink so our toothbrushes, etc had to be kept on the counter you see when you first walk in. The refrigerator wasn't very cold and couldn't be adjusted. Other than those two minor things, everything was wonderful and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. "Great Vacation at the Royal Lahaina Resort"
We had a wonderful time at the Royal Lahaina Resort. From the minute we got there, til the time that we left, the service and staff were exceptional. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. We loved our ocean view room; we had an amazing view of the ocean. We were on the 8th floor; and the higher the better. Floors 9-12 are definitely the best, and […] the north side rooms (even number) are the very best because they have better views of the ocean. The room was clean, and we loved the wood decor of the rooms and lobby area. The ocean terrace restaurant had the most amazing food, and incredible service. We loved the beach right outside the hotel, it was definitely the best part of the whole strip. Having the expedia agents right there was SO helpful. We got plenty of good advice from Megan and Lae; they were nice and helped us a lot. The resort is in the perfect location. It was a 5-10 minute walk to Whaler's Village, and a 5 minute bus ride to Lahaina. The shuttle was very useful, and bus #25 goes directly to Lahaina from Whaler's and is only $2/person. Our only complaint would be the parking lot. We found the parking spots to be extremely small. Our car got a huge dent in it one night, and we had to pay because of it. This was extremely unfortunate. Cora was a fantastic housekeeper, and Vi at the front desk was very helpful. We will definitely be back to the Royal Lahaina! Mahalo! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and very polite people. Everything was very well maintained and clean. When ever we called for room service we got fast service. Rooms do have a small frig which is nice but the coffee supplied was not enough to make a good pot that was strong enough so we went and bought our own coffee for the […] room with our own filters. "Never again."
I booked it last minute after realizing i had a gap in the various places we were staying in over the 8 day visit. We stayed in a cottage next to the golf course. Everything seemed old and worn out. There were lights outside our glass sliding door to the patio and the glass front door that stayed on all night. I never found a switch for them. It stayed […] way too bright all night. The AC is super loud. Bring your earplugs. In the early morning hours while still sleeping we heard people talking outside constantly because of a path that was next to our cottage. The pool was decent enough, but they don't put out enough chairs for people, so everyone was hunting for one. They had the chairs with umbrellas that you could pay and reserve. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The only complaint was the building air pressure issues. The winds would rattle the balcony doors if they were closed, pushing in the glass panes. Fourth time to the Royal Lahaina and loved it! Great place that makes you feel like your in Hawaii and not at a chain hotel. The staff are great and will do anything to help to make your stay more pleasing. The location of the hotel is great. We saw whales everytime we looked out our window. We book a partial ocean view, and at some hotels that means […] a small view of the ocean, but not here. The only down side I would have to say is the parking lot. "Good, but could be much better"
The Royal Lahaina is so good in so many ways, yet it could be much better with very little effort. The strong points of this hotel: its location is very close to the beach, but there is no point in snorkelling off the beach; the Sheraton Beach is much better The service in the hotel was generally excellent and very friendly,but there were exceptions […] at dinner and at reception. We had booked through Expedia, and their office staff – Heather and Megan – were superb; nothing was too much trouble. The luau manager, David could not have been more helpful. Our hotel room was large, the bed extremely comfortable, and the maid service very good. The bathroom was very small, but adequate, and shower was excellent. Our Ocean View looked over the golf course and the ocean. The hotel's restaurant was very good for dinner – the prices were reasonable, and there was no problem about sharing dishes. Also, three times a week the wines are half price. But the buffet breakfast is grossly overpriced, and the eggs are overcooked. Have your breakfast elsewhere. The drawbacks: the wind can spoil sunbathing and swimming (the pools were cold). If you do not have a car, the shuttle service is variable, and buses to Lahaina only go once an hour. Altogether, we had a great week at the Royal Lahaina, and several of our problems were due to the weather rather than the hotel. Our room was in the "tower" on the 11th floor. The view was gorgeous and the room was lovely. Everything was perfect. The lobby personnel were very nice and helpful. Housekeeping service was excellent and timely. Being right on the beach was wonderful and we watched whales from our balcony! Enjoyed being welcomed "home" by the parking area attendant-plenty […] of parking, but often far out in the evenings due to the Luau. We will definitely stay here again.
