We have stayed at this hotel location several times and have always found it clean, comfortable and pleasant. The close proximity to the Notre Dame campus makes it a perfect location for parents of students. We love to take an early morning run and found a 'back way' into the Notre Dame campus arriving at the lakes and grotto for a pleasant experience. […] Unfortunately, the indoor pool area is sadly in need of updating. On our most recent trip, the pool area felt 'creepy' with rust and peeling paint on the ceiling. "Jameson Inn South Bend, IN - close to NDU Campus"
The Inn was clean and in good overall condition for an older facility - could use some refreshing. Staff was friendly and responsive to requests. Did not use pool facilities, they appeared to be basic but clean and in good condition. Notre Dame campus is only a couple of miles away and easy to get to from this location.

Stayed here with a group, but didn't get a group rate. Asked for a late checkout (instead of 11am) and was told the latest possible was 11:30am. Bath towels were not only NOT plush, but felt like sandpaper. The breakfast bar was all starch.....no meat, no eggs, no dairy....just cereal, toast,bagels,muffins,biscuits,or instant oatmeal. "The Jameson Hotel in South Bend - moderate walking"
The hotel was very nice - friendly staff and a great breakfast each morning that was included in the room rate. It is close to the Notre Dame campus and could be a nice walk on a good day. However, we had no trouble driving to campus and found adequate parking for all events.

"Jameson Inn - Notre Dame"
This hotel is VERY expensive for a Notre Dame football weekend. Facilities are run-down. Refrigerator was very noisy (turned it off), but the bed was actually very comfortable. Staff was very curteous and friendly as well as helpful, however, for the money I would definately stay elsewhere.

Jameson Inn was very conveniently located to our destination - the University of Notre Dame (UND) where we had gone to take our daughter for her first year at UND as a freshman. It was within walking distance and contained all the amenities usually associated with a 5-star hotel. Unfortunately, the breakfast was rather poor and left a lot to be desired, […] leaving everything to the mercy of the guests. You should make a proper breakfast with eggs and sausages and with someone on call to serve the guests. Cereal bowls were too small, necessitating a second or third helping! Was this deliberate? Do something about your breakfast. As a starter, you may wish to visit other hotels and observe what they do. Room was dark, AC unit was not working but hotel maintenance came promptly to fix it. Was surprised to find out that the hotel does not provide parking lot security. With its proxmity to UND and it being move-in weekend and EVERY CAR in the parking lot full to the brim with dorm room stuff, I don't understaid why this service would not be provided. We were here to visit Notre Dame. This hotel was very near by and immediately off the highway. The hotel offersa more than adequate free breakfast. The hotel shares a parking lot with a chinese restaurant so one may enjoy a cocktail. There is an indoor pool but the sunny area is basically a fenced in area in the parking lot - not a complaint, just an […] observation. Quiet when sleeping. "noisy frig and hairs on pillow and sheets"
the room looked clean except for several small black hairs on sheets and pillows, i hope they were clean hairs that got trapped in the washer. The frig is in a wooden cabinet which caused a very loud vibration when it kicked on, the noise kept waking me up. Other than that hotel was good, breakfast was ok, nothing special.

Stayed at the Jameson for ND graduation. Easy access to campus made this an ideal location. Rooms are comfortable, though a little tired -nothing that re-stretching the carpeting wouldn't take care of. Breakfast in morning is very average, but space is clean and adequately furnished. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. Lots of cob webs in our room and the controls for the hot tub were broken. We had to ask an employee and they started it from outside somehow. Fridge was so lould it kept us up. We've stayed in better and we've stayed in worse. But we'd rather stay in better.

the pool was nice but our rooms needed vacuumed the bathroom floor was dirty,tub had some pieces of something in it. the lady had told the check-in clerk she had cleaned 10 rooms. the second room was the same way. when we checked the beds the mattress covers looked as if they could have used some bleaching on all 4 beds. we went to store and bought […] some antiibact. wipes and spray to clean tub and wipe down things we knew we and the children would be touching. the continental breakfast was good. but i would not refer this hotel to anyone. they would have to use own judgement. This hotel needs remodelling badly. The hallway carpet was shot. The bedspreads had ink marks in several places, and need replacing. In addition, housekeeping did not replace the towels or the cups for the 2nd day. We will not be returning to the Jameson.
"Experience less satisfying than previous"
Took a long time to get help to check in. Found a sock certainly not belonging to us in the bedding. The walls were thin and the people next to us were exceedingly loud and obnoxious at 2am. We finally called the front desk at 3 am to ask them to quiet down but they were still noisy and drunkenly loud at 315. Certainly not our best experience at this […] hotel. Lisätietoja

The hotel was very clean, quiet, and nice. The continental breakfast was better than expected. I would definitely go again.
The room was clean. The continental breakfast was great every morning. The only drawback of the hotel was the pool and jacuzzi, they were in need of a lot of work.

Nice place with excellent staff.

It was very noisy since they don't have a good sound proof walls. My baby woke up several times at night. Also I could smell somebody smoking outside our room. There's a gap between the door and floor, so I think the smoke came inside of our room throught the gap.

Right off the highway, near service stations and a variety of restaurants, ample parking and close to downtown and the colleges: it never disappoints.
