Econo Lodge - Fort Erie

The lobby was closed for renovations. We had to check in , in a bedroom following some outdoor signs. Breakfast was served in another bedroom due to renovations. We should have been informed before we spent over $ 80.Very unhappy

We found the hotel maintance to be in good condition. Staff were very polite and friendly.. Will definitly stay again. Good Rates.

It was off the beaten path. The room was clean, though the decor throughout is quite dated. There were plenty of towels. There were no pretty flowers/pots outside which I find could make the hotel more attractive. Though the bread/bagels were fine, some eggs would be nice at the continental breakfast. This is a basic hotel, showing its age and in a somewhat obscure location. There is no elevator for the second floor. The outside of the windows were absolutely filthy and obviously hadn't been washed in a long time. The bathroom and room were clean and tidy. I didn't expect much on our stay, we were in town for a wedding, and were not expectiong to spend much time in the room. However, one thing I did not like was the shower. This Hotel is locate at 28 minutes from the Niagara Falls area. It was very clean and the night person very kind. The breakfast was great and healthy. We only stay one night but save a lot by driving there.

It was terrible and would not stay there again- no elevator, no ice machines on each floor so you have to go up and down some steep stairs- hotel staff were not friendly- terrible looking facility with poor landscaping etc- did like the breakfast and the shower head was great!

There was a leakage under the basin and on top of that, the bathtub was heavily clogged. So, every time you wash your hands or face, water dropped off from the pipe under the basin splashed on your feet. And when you take a shower in the bathtub, oh, it was awful. Soon it became like a shallow pool of dirty water and it stayed around your feet while […] you take a shower and even after that. We checked in very late at night and were very tired so we decided it was no use to claim about these water pipe issues to the front. nothing fancy, but served the purpose of a clean and friendly place to spend the night. Breakfast was adequate, for a continental breakfast. Kitchen area was very clean and was continuously tidied. The room was too cold. The bathtub was not draining fast enough and the water stayed in the tub while I was showering. I needed to stop the shower every few minutes to let the water drain.

Not very clean. Out dated decor. Needs new beds. The mattress was done and they just covered it with a sponge and egg crate foam, but you could still feel the lumps and springs. The room was cold even with the heat on high. The heater was extremely loud and noisy. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It wasn't expensive and the rooms were fine and clean - it was pretty much as expected for this budget. The breakfast area is really small and only has 3 tables so it gets really busy in the morning. Fort Erie isn't the most exciting place - but if you need to stay somewhere and don't want to pay too much it is not a bad choice.

We expect at least a pool, a playzone and few benches - fort erie had none, leaving us gasping into each other's breath inside the room and during breakfast!

Stayed here many times. What amazes us is that the place is hidden so well that we are surprised that people can find it. It is tucked back in a corner accessed by streets that look like parking lot entrances.

Ashtray full upon arrival in room. Told someone at desk, they cleaned it. Late at night while turning down the double beds, observed boxsprings without covers, and what appeared to be large areas of dried blood on my boxspring, overall, they were filthy. Blanket well used. staying at this hotel was completely less congested and busy than staying in niagara falls would have been. fort erie is a quaint place. if you're looking for something decent and less busy, stay here.
