My sister and I only stayed overnight here on our road trip to Vancouver. It was a very clean and comfortable stay. Not sure about location as we didn't really see anything in Portland and we had a car, it didnt look too accessible from public transport though. The only problem we had was that the steam from the shower set off the smoke alarm in the […] room. There was no fan that we could find to eliminate this. Had everything I needed at a decent price. All that ans a good breakfast too!

It was the perfect pre-flight stay, affordable, clean and more. A good Indian restaurant next door was a bonus. The night was quiet, the front desk polite and friendly. I have to remark on the quality of the towels, nothing short of a 4 star hotel! I shall return :)

Was a pleasant stay. My only complaint is - I left my cell phone charger in the room and when i called to asked about it, nobody saw or found it. Pretty strange to me when I know it was left in the room. Guess the housekeeper wanted it for herself.

Honesty and Excelent services. My husband left his gold necklace behind in the room # 204 and checked out on 04/19. The saying goes " you get what you pay for", so true with this hotel. Price was great, location was good, however the room was just not very pleasant. From cramped quarters, to cigarette burns in the blankets, just had to keep reminding myself how much i payed. Hot breakfast was okay, more than i expected.

the staff was friendly and when asked for the blow dryer to be replaced because it had a broken plug, they were on it before we got back from town.

Excellent Indian restaurant at hotel, maid service in room was very good. Very convenient to Portla,nd airport.

Very nice people! Clean and comfortable. Short shower but it was nice and warm. Would stay again.

This hotel is comfortable, clean and convenient. The complimentary airport shuttle is a big draw. Free breakfast is nice and staff is polite. The nearby Indian restaurant buffet was better than expected and has vegetarian options.We also found a great vegan restaurant and a full-service natural foods grocery store in a fun, artsy neighborhood nearby. The beds were terrible,staff not very friendly, and breakfast sack not prepared like promiseed. Mold in the bathroom.

Not much help from the staff once you get to the hotel. Gee, would be nice if someone, anyone offered a little help getting your bags on the way back to the airport

I stayed at this hotel for a night - would never recommend this place to anyone. I don't require much honestly. I like a comfy bed, coffee pot, room to walk around and to not exit my room and be face to face with meth heads. Unfortunately, I only had the coffee pot. Just kept walking.. ran across an abandoned room - you could see the cobwebs and dust build-up. It really looked as if it hadn't been opened in years. I get to my room and open the door.. There was an unusable desk - I have a work station which is rather large - setting it on the desk would be impossible for the television/phone and brochures are on it. I would move the television to the floor but there isn't any room on the floor. The area with the bed had approximately 2 feet on either side.. and I am pretty sure i'm being generous. I had 2 bicycles with me that would not fit comfortably in the room... *anywhere*. I had to wedge them in and around the cubby they call a closet blocking off access to the sink and partially the bathroom. The pictures in there had some kind of tag writing along the picture frames - not the hotels fault of course but a painting of what type of individuals stay there. The room was dingy - the refrigerator was loud and had to be unplugged and the shower head was broken. I am honestly shocked this place didn't have an hourly rate. I am severely disappointed with my stay for any other Howard Johnson I have stayed at has been rather nice. Lisätietoja

Staff at front desk was polite and friendly. My room was very quiet and clean. Really loved the fragrance in the hallways. It was also very convenient to have shuttle service to the airport and a restaurant with bar at the hotel. Hotel also had wonderful warm breakfast in the morning. If you have a short stay or long layover in Portland, Howard Johnson's is great. Fast, courteous shuttle service to and from the airport. Room was clean, comfortable and had micro and fridge. I was only there 6 hours, but for a quiet clean sleep between flights, it was well worth the cost.

The service was awesome - the frontdesk staff Arvin was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel location was the best as Iwe walked to the Grotto and did not to drive. Food and shopping was within walking or short distance. By the way the breakfast was really good. Will recommend to my friends and relatives.

Not in a safe part of the city. No outside restaurants. No attractions or activities.

The courtesy was ok. Parking at the hotel for the week was mis represented & I had to pay $56.00 extra dollars that I was not expecting. Shuttle was on time & ok. Got a cracker & energy bar for the breakfast.

The bed was OK and the breakfast adequate. But I don't think I would stay there again. The carpets were faded. There were people smoking outside of the non-smoking building.

Picket this hotel because it was only for one night and was close to PDX airport. Therefore, expectations were not high given the 2 star rating. Staff had a pluse but were pretty quiet, stairwells were not very clean, and the sheet of one of our beds had a stain (did not use). We had a all night lay over in Portland Airport and were very happy with having booked this hotel to get a good nights rest. It was resonably priced, close to the airport with a shuttle service that was very good and I found it neat and clean and very worth what we paid to get a good nights rest before flying out in the am.

Have stayed here a number of times over the past 11 years. It was a Quality (high end) motel at one time. It has aged but is still well-maintained, and the rooms, particularly the size & layout, reflect that higher level that was expected.

This was by far the smallest hotel room I have ever seen in my entire life. The condition of the carpet and the plumbing was also not upto what I would expect for the amount of money I paid. Overall, I would say this is a one (maybe one and a half) star hotel.

We needed an overnight in PDX before picking up a rental car. We arrived after midnight and left early the next day. Economy was our goal. This hotel offerred a clean room, pleasant staff and a decent breakfast for a very low cost.

The room we stayed in was dirty and very small.

Once you get past the ugly hallways reeking with air freshener, you will find a c lean, well equipped room with micro and fridge. Free shuttle to and from airport is a plus.There is also a city bus which stops in front of the place and takes you downtown cheaply. The Indian Buffet restaurant across the way is not bad at all.

Very good experience

This is a very good lodging. I think this is the perfect example of a well run hotel. Very good staff, quiet ,clean rooms and good breakfast. I stayed one night, stayed another, will reserve for 3 days from now.

Picked me up at PDX at midnight in 10 minutes, another 10 min. At I'm checking in. Room was fine,service good.Great deal.

We had made our reservation to include our two dogs. When we arrived they did not know we needed a pet friendly room. The only room they had left that was pet friendly was a VERY small smoking room. It smelled, the carpets were dirty, the sheets had stains on them, and there were cigarette burns on the mattress and bedspread. The neighborhood is not […] the greatest in Portland, but it is convenient. We were told the pet fee was $15 a day for BOTH dogs. Instead, it was $15 each day for EACH dog. Worth the price - near the airport and easy drive to downtown - walking distance to The Grotto and about 5-6 miles from Portland Meadows Racetrack for NXN...

The proximity to the airport and the complimentary shuttle service to the airport was why I selected this hotel. The best part of my stay was the restaurant with the Indian buffet on-site. Staff was the best. Very accomadating and the shuttle from the airport was prompt and firendly. Only negitive was this motel is a little dated and it shows. Breakfast left a little to be disired. Not much variety.

When you travel with pets it adds another level of accommodation. We have experienced booking on hotels.com where it states the property takes pets, then to arrive and find the incomplete restrictions to not match our needs. This property worked out well with our three dogs. We requested a ground level room with easy access to lawn and our request worked […] very well. The room was typical for the low rate, however, it was was clean and comfortable. The parking lot was full due to the property being a park and fly location on Thanksgiving weekend. It is a 10-minute drive to PDX and the Cascade Station Shopping area, the destination for our Black Friday shopping. The continental breakfast was adequate (be warned about the extra hot toaster oven. Great to stand next to to get warm, but does little toasting. I left my glasses in my hotel room after check-out. I called the hotel the day after and the cleaning crew found it and gave it to the front desk!!!! I was so happy that I did not have to replace my glasses...great service

Rude, overpriced and rude.....and the 100 deposit is above average and wasn't communicated to me ahead of time.

I called front desk that night for a pair of tooth brushes and tooth paste. They took a long time to deliver, and what they delivered was not what I want. Then I called again, and after a long time, they returned my call saying that there is no more tooth brush and toothpaste .bad customer service I have ever experienced.
