Comfortable, clean, historic, perfectly located, helpful staff.

Lovely hotel in great location. Pretty open-air courtyards. Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was in need of updating and maintenance. Would recommend to friends.

Great location. Charming old world decor. Breakfast was ok. Enjoyed late afternoon wine with hors d'oeuvres.It was a hotel that seemed like a bed and breakfast.

This hotel is nestled right on King Street in the midst of many shops and restaurants. The aquarium and market are an easy 1-2 mile walk. I thought the hotel was adorable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was very nice and they will deliver it to your room. You can also add eggs, bacon, and toast to your breakfast […] for a very small fee. Free wireless service in the room was also a plus. Hotel staff was professional and courteous. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Loved the proximity of the hotel to the downtown historic district attractions. Overall, a very nice stay.

Excellent location and real good package of amenities. The hotel has ample paid parking with in and out ability. The staff was very helpful and sought to make our stay enjoyable. We will stay there again in our next visit to Chareston!

We found the hotel on the Hotels.com...we thought it would be OK... it was much more than that. It was welcoming, with friendly helpful staff. It was ideally located right in the heart of things. It had charm and a southern/Charleston feel which made it so much more enjoyable. Nice Hotel... Very Homely and extremely close to all the great restaurants etc. Bed was a little soft for my liking.

Perfect spot to head to the open air market, stroll down king street or grab a bite at a lot of good restaurants nearby. Rooms are smaller but very comfortable. What a nice place to stay and get some Christmas shopping done! After an afternoon of exploring the many shops that populate King Street, we were able to unwind at the complimentary happy hour of cheese and wine. It was nice. Great location! Great room! Attentive staff!

The Inn was within walking distance to the Market and downtown shopping and restaurants. Would definately stay again and recommend to others.

Fit in very well with the charm of Charleston--perfect location and convenient parking lot. Breakfast was great--wine at 5 was very good because they served $20+ wines--ie--La Crema pinot noir.

1. Bathroom floors were extremely slippery; not sure if it was because of what was used to clean it with. 2. Not enough lighting in the room 3. Matresses seemed saggy 4. Room was small I would recommend to others only because it is ok to stay in for one night and because the location is excellent. We never did see any evening cheese with wine.

Rooms very small ,booked king got a queen, but thats all that would have fit.

Loved this hotel and the staff! Everyone went out of there way to provide information and service. We rented bikes for our stay in Charleston and the staff did a great job helping us store them each night. This hotel is located in the perfect spot for exploring Charleston proper. Can't say enough about the wonderful accommodations here. The rooms were spacious. The beds were comfortable and the staff was exceptional. Spend two nights recently. Loved this historic inn off King Street and less that a block from the Market. As this is a historic building dont expect the large open rooms that newer hotels provide, but do expect a comfortable bed, charm, and very friendly staff. My only complaint would be that whenever the AC unit turned on (several times per night), […] it made a loud mechanical sound that woke us each time. We specifically choose this hotel from a selection of historic hotels in the downtown Charleston area based on location, price, and availability. We were pleased. The overall ambiance was great, the room comfortable and attractive. We loved the location and it's easy access to Charleston's French Quarter, The Market, and Museum Mile. Only had a few nights to spend in Charleston so we wanted a nice place within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Kings Courtyard fit the bill. The room was very clean and the A/C worked great (absolute must for Charleston in July). The room was a little small and had an older model TV but if you're vacationing for the amenities than don't […] bother going to any Historic hotel. This was great for us. The hotel is a landmark and does offer charm, but lacks easy maintanence in common areas. The room was quaint and comfortable and offered better cleanliness than halls and reception area. Complimentary breakfast just right, but they were not in any hurry to serve their guests. Wine and cheese in the afternoon was very welcoming.

Though hotel is a little old, the ambiance is great. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. Location is superb as you are right in the heart of historic Charleston; can walk or catch trolley to everything.

Staff was wonderful ,wonderful location ,and great parking accessibility . Room was spacious and bright furnishings in room were a little tired looking but everything else was perfect!

This is obviously an old hotel; thus it is not sleek and slick like modern ones, but it was very charming, tucked right in a fantastic location near the market, shopping, and restaurants. We loved the staff. The room was furnished with old furnishings but was very comfortable. I have been spoiled by modern mattresses, so I'd have to say that the beds […] were not as comfortable as we would have liked. Our stay at the hotel was great. The people who worked there were extremely friendly and helpful.

On arrival we were given a very warm welcome by the young lady on the reception, booking in was easy and the parking facilities grat. The sherry and wine tasting are highly recommended. Overall a very pleasant stay , the staff are as friendly as you could wish to meet anywhere. would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We love Charleston, so when traveling up the coast, we had no doubt we wanted to stay a night there, and somewhere down by the marketplace...found this great deal for the King's Courtyard, and we were not disappointed- only that we couldn't stay longer. The inn was quite comfortable and staff were cordial. it would be helpful to notify guest where the parking is located prior to their arrival. With many one way streets it can become confusing. Wine and cheese in the evening was most enjoyable.

What a nice surprise. I've stayed in a ton of Charleston inns and hotels and B&Bs and this is the nicest of them all. The folks who work there are just delightful. The location, right in the middle of the action on King St, is the best. Breakfast is terrific. The rooms are historic, so somewhat on the small side, but spotlessly clean and lovingly decorated. […] Our room even had a working fireplace. We just loved it and will definitely return. Great location, great staff.

My disabled mother and I arrived very late (after 9 p.m.) after a long day of driving. I was a bit surprised that when I was struggling escorting my mother in and toting two large bags that no one offered to help. Also, we requested a smoking room but the room that was assigned to us was non-smoking. Those were the only downsides to the stay. After […] that, the service was spectacular. When I called downstairs about the non-smoking room, they moved us to the only smoking room left, which was an upgrade to our reserved room. The gentleman at the front desk walked the new keys up to us and then helped us with our luggage to our new room. The hotel did not have room service, but another gentleman at the front desk called in a late night order for us to a lovely Italian restaurant across the street, which delivered the food directly to our room, even though it appeared they did not normally do so. We also ordered some lovely champagne for the room which was quite reasonably priced and delivered promptly. In the morning, the new staff at the front desk was equally helpful in directing us to a wonderful nearby restaurant for brunch, and also helped us with our bags. In short, the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in our short stay there, and should I ever got to Charleston again, I would be sure to stay there. Lisätietoja

This was my second stay there and I always find it enjoyable. You can park your car there and walk to just about anywhere in historic Charleston. The staff is always friendly, courteous, and very helpful. Breakfast in the morning and complementary wine in the evening made it better.
