We've been to Rome several times and this was by far the best hotel we've ever stayed in in Rome. The location was perfect, right on the Piazza Barberini, at the start of VIa Veneto. We loved our stay at the Bernini Bristol! The room (including bathroom) was very spacious and beautiful. View from our room was amazing -- and the bar and restaurant on the room offer an unbelievable view of Rome. We will definitely stay at Bernini Bristol when we return to Rome. The only negative (although not enough for us to take away a star) is their internet wi-fi policy, in which you need to purchase cards from the front desk for a specific duration of wi-fi access, after which you need to purchase additional recharge cards from the front desk. We were a bit overwhelmed (and annoyed having to deal) with different cards, log in codes, recharge codes, etc by the end of our stay. Otherwise, this was a perfect (for us) place to stay. Nice size rooms and bathrooms. Fabulous linens....after an all night flight great place to get rest and still enjoy old Rome close by...cafe across the fountain park was perfect for cappachino or drinks. Do not think they should charge for wifi......

We stayed in late August 2012. We reserved 2 connecting 'Superior' Rooms for my family of 5 for 3 nights. Hotel was as advertised and commented, within easy walking distance to Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. Staff was very courteous and spoke excellent English. There is a rooftop restaurant/lounge with great views of St. Peter's Basillica that was […] a perfect place to relax (though drinks were quite expensive on the rooftop, even for someone from New York City). One note of caution: the 'pool' as seen in the photos is not for all hotel guests. It is specfic to a private suite on the 6th floor. When we 'filtered' in Hotels.com to narrow down results to only those hotels with a pool, this one came up and was a main reason why we chose it (I have 3 kids under 13, so a pool to occupy them during non-sightseeing hours was critical). So it was disappointing when we found out it was not for public use. Additionally, the "Fitness Club and Wellness Spa" is really just your average small hotel gym with a side room for a hot tub. We did not eat at the hotel, as the 'breakfast included' rate at the time our travel was almost 35 euros per day, per room, which was a bit too expensive for me to have my kids to eat only cereal. They tried to double charge me even though the Expedia confirmation said the hotel was paid in full. It took a full hour to prove I was right, with A concierge and manager and Expedia on the phone. Also there was an empty beer bottle in the hallway for 2 days in plain sight. The gym has old equipment and not much of it and there is moldin the spa area. […] The best part of the hotel is the view from the roof Resturant and terrace. Very expensive hotel. Prefer a smaller hotel where you are not just a number. Found our room on the first floor very noisy as it was on the bus route and asked them to move us higher. Moved to 3rd floor non street facing and it was quieter, though an inferior room. Not the greatest location in terms of area, but good for public transport.

Hotel was beautiful. Should have better mattresses and pillows. Also, i was told that I could have internet and for the four days there, we had none. My daughter is in a Masters program and studying online and had to find cafes that would give wifi. Very disappointing for a five star hotel. Also, reserved two rooms, one for my kids and one for myself […] and my husband. I payed extra for a better for room my myself and ended up with the exact same room that my kids stayed in. we really enjoyed our stay. beautiful hotel; staff very heplful. rooftop restaurant best view of the city with delicious & very pretty food. would stay again. only "complaint" in room hair dryers not so swift. location of hotel walkable to most sites & cab stand in front of hotel very convenient.

Location is fantastic. Red Line access at doorstep. Walking distance - even for an 11y boy - to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Navona Square. Hotel Front Desk personnel were absolutely fantastic; extremely helpful and friendly. Daily room cleaning needed a little to be desired. Hotel Breakfast is perfect if included in rate but overpriced otherwise. […] Generally, we think that the Hotel is over-priced for what is offered. Ideally located hotel, walking distance to many hotspots, 20m from metro, near via veneto! Good hotel with very helpfull and polite staf, very nice roof top restaurant/bar. All theese are spoiled by a "strange" ( but very common latelly among hotels in Rome) that you discover that breakfast (which by the way degraded significantly during last years) […] is not included in an already high daily room rate, so you havevto pay an additional 35 euros per person, and that you have to pay 7 euros for 3 hours (!!!!!) of wifi access if you want to check your emails. I believe this is a very "cheap" way to earn some extra money but that can destroy hotels reputation among the customers. This is the 3rd time I have stayed in a SINA hotel and everytime I come away thinking that they are fantastic hotels. Very nice hotel, not cheap, but we paid extra for the convenient location and because it had a jacuzzi & sauna. The front desk staff, porters & concierge were very good. The breakfast was staggeringly overpriced and the serving staff were apathetic. They couldn't be bothered to itemize our a la carte breakfast and seemed inconvenienced when we didn't […] want to pay (expensive!) a head for a buffet breakfast. The spa facilities were nice and we used the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi on 2 of our 3 evenings. However, the miserable women in charge initially refused us towels on one occasion and then gave us a hand towel each reluctantly. We weren't warned but there was a private booking on the Saturday night so we were refused access that evening. We were also made to change in our room rather than the changing rooms in the spa! The spirit of Basil Fawlty still lives on... When I raised these concerns with the excellent lady on front desk (who handled my complaint superbly) she was suitably concerned and rather embarassed and explained that the Spa wasn't run by the hotel. Beautiful hotel close to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The service was excellent. The concierge arranged for a wonderful cooking class for us and was helpful with other arrangements as well. The rooms were larger by European standards and ours had a small terrace which was lovely. The bathroom was a comfortable size as well. There a is rooftop restaurant/bar […] with an incredible view. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the vista with a glass of wine at the end of the day. I found all the staff very accommodating and friendly. Locationwise, it is walkable to all major Roman sites. It is the busy Piazza Barberini but no traffic noise issues in our room. There are cafes very close on the Via Veneto. This hotel was a little disappointing for a five star hotel, mainly because of the quality of the bedroom. The decor was very jaded (worn, faded carpet and stains on wall fabric) but generally was clean with good quality bed and bathroom linen. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the public areas were comfortable and inviting. We had a breakfast […] and a dinner in the hotel. The breakfast was good but expensive. The roof top restaurant does have amazing views and you expect high quality food because it is promoted as being high end, unfortunately the quality did not match the price. We were also expecting the pianist to be playing as advertised in the hotel's room information but he/she was absent. We had chosen to dine in the restaurant because it was our anniversary and we thought the combination of views, music and good food would make a memorable evening - sadly not on this occasion. This hotel is within 40 minute walk of ancient Roman sights and the Vatican and within 10 minutes of the beautiful park of Villa Borghese (fabulous green space to walk, run, cycle or just chill if city life gets too much). It's next to a Metro station but the noise and busyness does not impair the experience of staying at the hotel, in fact we could sleep with the window open at night. We had a great time. There was some confusion an a small hiccup mat the time of check-in but the manager made everything ok immediately. The hotel is centrally located and just about everything is walking distance. The train station is close as well. There is a subway stop outside the hotel and we took it a few times. We felt very safe. I haven't been […] to Rome in many many years therefore I had several questions for the concierge. They were wonderful and very helpful from making me aware of all the points of interest to making dinner reservations at a lovely restaurant in the hills that overlook Rome to finding me Olio, napkins, and silverware at 2am. This hotel lives up to its reputation. Check out the hotel's website for photos that represent the decor accurately. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room; it was larger than I expected but room light fixtures can use upgrading. The location is perfect. The concierge is ready to assist in arranging tour guides to reservations for dinner […] at restaurants of choice. Should you stay here, you must have dinner at L'Olimpo Restaurant in the evening. The hotel was fantastic in all respect apart from the bed. I had specifically requested a king and ended up with 2 twins pushed together so invariably ended up in the crack between the mattress all nights. It's obviously more economically prudent for hotels to do this but makes for a miserable nights sleep if you want to spoon.

We had a wonderful stay at the Bernini Bristol. The location was excellent - the "hop on hop off" bus stopped right outside the door. The roof terrace was a great place to enjoy our evening drinks. The buffet breakfast was fit for a king. A great experience in Rome.

the location is pretty ideal but for the price...the hallways need to be updated more and large flat screen TVs in each room with more modern amenities! Service was very good except for walking in with 3 bags and no one even offering to open a door for me!!

We were steps from the Trivoli fountain yet the hotel had none of the tourist frenzy one might expect. The service was exceptional and the concierage worked miracles.

Great staff and great restaurant, but 2 major issues befell us on this trip. First, one in our party used the restroom at the rooftop restaurant and actually got locked in the room, rescued only after having to kick the door to draw attention. Second, the air conditioning didn't work in the room, during an incredible heatwave. A staff member responded […] quickly but all he could do was check that the controls were set correclty, which they were -- the AC was simply not working, and nothing could remedy it that night. So we sweated it out (literally), eased very little by opening the window (which served mostly to bring in street noise). The mystery me to me was how the matter was not known to management. Is it possible the air conditioning just stopped working after the last guest left and before we arrived? I find that hard to believe, but made a point of mentioning it at checkout. This is by all appearances a good hotel, but I don't think a 5-star rating is warranted if the room is too hot to sleep in and guests get locked in restrooms. Lisätietoja

Der er også en fin Spa afdeling som kan benyttes gratis selv om man kan være lidt i tvivl når man læser materialet i værelset. Vores eneste anke er faktisk at vi valgte hotellet fordi vi troede at der var en udendørs swimmingpool, der er 3 fatos som viser denne […] dejlige pool, men poolen er forbeholdt deres penthouse suite. I beskrivelsen af hotellet står heller ikke at der er pool, men billeder siger jo nu engang mere en 1000 ord, så vi vil da foreslå at billederne af poolen fjernes fra Hotel.com's hjemmeside. 観光地の中心に位置し、頑張れば多くの遺跡に徒歩でアクセスすることも可能。目前がバルベリーニ広場なので地下鉄駅やタクシースタンド等も至近で移動手段にも困らない。 一方、設備はややくたびれた印象で水回りは特にイマイチだった。朝食のビュッフェはまあまあで、他のレビューにもある通りカプチーノはおいしかった。 総合的に判断すると、泊まっても損はないと思う。過剰に期待すると、少し失望するかも。

高級感溢れるホテルでした。スペイン広場やトレビの泉に本当に近い場所、且つメトロＡ線の駅の真上で立地条件はこの上なく良かったです。ただホテル周囲に官公庁や大使館が多いせいかその関係者には優しく、旅行客には少々冷たい感じのするホテルでした。特にフロントの対応は最低でした。 チェックイン時、当然部屋の案内はなくエレベーターと部屋を探して重い荷物を引きずりながらホテル内を探し回りました。またホテル内では両替が出来ず、教えてもらった所は手数料が非常に高い所でした。ローマに慣れた人にはとても良いホテル、初めての人には最悪のホテルだと思いました。 ５つ星のホテルとしての満足度は「３」でした。
