Not a four-star hotel, but for a motel near the freeway it delivers everything as promised, and then some. A good place for a traveler on a budget.

Not bad at all for a lower-scale motel. Doors open to outside, ac/heater in windows, etc. Still, bathroom was updated, hairdryer and toiletries in place, no hassles, no problems. I wouldn't count on much for breakfast but that is not important to me. Free wifi is, and it worked fine. Location is very close to #81 at the PA Turnpike exit.

We just needed a place to stay overnight. We got there late at night and were surprised to find the check in clerk to be amazingly nice even that late. And the rooms were clean and supplied. We enjoyed our layover stop. :)

This is a perfect hotel for an overnight. The price is right and the people are very nice. Clean, quiet, and convenient. Pull car right up to your room for unloading.

The first two rooms that were given to me were actually occupied. The front desk clerk used his key and wlked in on the first occupant because he didn't know that the room was occupied (he was trying to let me in).

If you are looking for value, this motel works. Covenient to I-81. Great pizza place 10 min drive away(Two brothers). Older but renovated with paint and fixtures making it livable. When we checked in to our room the light above the sink was not working, no smoke alarm, phone was not working.I went to tell the front desk and after a ten minuit wait, we received another room. Rodeway Inn is a CHEAP Motel. It vaguely reminds me of a great hotel and more like a dive. I made the mistake of picking this place. Never again. If you have any standard for a hotel don't stay here even for one night. Room was clean and staff was friendly. Wifi was quick and reliable.The outdoor pool was nice. Breakfast was disappointing, but I didn't expect hot good at that price. The only thing that worried me was the adult store across the street. Not the hotel's fault. Overall, great stay for an inexpensive price.

After taking a walk around the hotel I notcied that some of the buildings were in need of repair. the room I stayed in had water leeaking from the bathroom to the bedroom. Stayed one night while visiting family. It was not a luxury place but we didn't pay much either. Everything was clean. Everything worked. The hotel manager was very friendly. Location was perfect for travelers. Near lots of restaurants. Would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive place to sleep.

Used the hotel for a quick stay, breaking up a 15 hour drive with two kids. Arrived at the hotel around 11:00 PM, front desk staff was friendly and actually were "waiting for you to arrive Mr. Smith". as far as comfort the beds were hard and didn't sleep well the shower nozzell was broke , only enough towels, for 2 people and when asked for some it took till the next night . also the complimentary breakfest consisted of dried out bagels and horrible coffee . We just wanted a place to sleep. I made reservations for my husband, me and our dog. When we got to the motel, I was told that I couldn't have the room I reserved because of the dog (?)!! I was charged EXTRA - but at least I was able to talk the man down to $10 instead of $15. The room was in the most deserted part of the motel, but the only other occupied […] room was right next door to us!! There was a man & woman in the next room, fighting, banging furniture around, swearing! We called the front desk, but nothing was done about it. Finally the man kicked the woman out and we were able to get a little bit of sleep after 1:30am. This is a good place if you are not traveling with a pet and only need a rom for a few hours. My experience began trying to park. The parking lot was very narrow which caused people to park at an angle which made it difficult for me to park. I get up early and wanted to go into the lobby to read for awhile so my friend could sleep. They wouldn't let me in to the lobby until 6am. You can hear the traffic on the road and we were near the end on the building; very thin walls. Parking area was tight with narrow driveway and small parking spots. Place needs to be updated, cracks in the tile floor, electrical outlets covered up, overall run down. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Needed a place for just the night. Selected a 1 or 2 star hotel for just that, turns out it was worse than that. The place was close to highway, but had a bad look from outside. The front desk guy in the night was horrible. Did not speak a single word and not even a smile. All the time was on a call. Went back and asked him to change another room.Without even being apologetic he just handled me key for another room(all the time still on phone). The other room atleast had lights but a bit smelly. Turned on the AC and heard a deafening noise. At this point I gave up as I did not want to see the front desk guy again and no big hopes from alternative room. Somehow went to sleep. Beds were just ok and bathrooms were tiny. Morning breakfast was very simple with only Bagels, coffee and orange juice. Checked out ASAP after breakfast. I felt this motel was a good deal, certainly nothing fancy, but for a budget motel it was fine. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was clean, there was some road noise, but not much traffic at night so sleeping was not a problem.

The selection of the Carlisle Rodeway was selected by price and the acceptance of pets, we have a teacup poodle (4 pounds, sleeps in a carrier). Nowhere in the hotel information does it say $xx additional for a pet or that you are required to report having one. Hotel management was alerted by an employee when they saw me walking the dog. They called […] my room asked if I had a pet, I said I did and they said it would be an additional $30, I said okay and hung-up, this was the entire conversation. We returned late at night and found are room keys had disabled. I went to the desk and asked why and they said it was because we hadn't paid the additional charge. This is just unacceptable. A good hotel with good amenities, large room, coffee, fridge, microwave etc. The only negative was the "complimentary breakfast" ....its only bagels, other than that a-okay.
