We had an amazing vacation! The staff at the hotel was so nice and friendly. It takes about 45 minutes between getting to the metro and taking the metro to get in the city but it worked well for our family. The hotel is in a great location to many stores and restaurants and was very convenient. We will stay there again.

tables could have been bigger for breakfast since there were a lot families there and the tables for use during breakfast were alitlle small, it was great having a van to bring us back and fourth from the hotel to the Metro which was a big plus only wish it ran latter into the night

I don't have one complaint about my stay at homestead. The staff were excellent, there was a delicious breakfast every morning with everything you could want to eat. The rooms were spotless and huge. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud. My children and I were sad leaving but will definitely be back. This time we will go after memorial day so they […] can go in the duck shaped pool. EVERYTHING YOU WILL NEED FOR A PLEASANT AND COMFORTABLE STAY. IT'S A HOME AWAY FROM HOME. THE REFRIGERATOR HAS AN ICE MAKER, NO MORE FETCHING ICE IN A BUCKET.

This was our first stay in a Homewood Suites but it won't be our last. There was plenty of room for our family of four with two grown children to sleep separately thanks to the sofa bed. The reception dinner was an unexpected blessing after a long day of travel. Breakfasts were wonderful. Staff was very helpful.

We needed a place to stay for that night, to continue our trip the next day. With four adults and two kids the hotel was awesome. It was comfortable and the breakfast next morning was great. The staff was very nice and friendly. If I was in that area again I would stay there.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again! The complimentary breakfast and dinner was quite nice as well. We had a suite with a fireplace which created a wonderful ambiance in the evenings after long days of sightseeing. It was located in a great area - very close to the Metro and Old Town. I was raised in Alexandria and return every Christmas season to visit famiiy for a week. We had stayed, for many years, at an Old Town location but changed this year to Homewood Suites. I was so glad we did. We paid less than half of the price of the other suite, had free parking, good breakfast AND supper, excellent staff, free weights and different […] machines in the gym, good coffee and tea in the lobby and less than ten minutes by car from King Street Metro- where Old Town begins. Excellent rooms and service. Very impressive. Highly recommend to friends and family with kids. Very clean and organized. No issues. I plan to stay there again when I travel to DC with family.

This was a great stay! The hotel staff was very supportive and friendly. The Ice machine in my refrigerator wasn't working. one of the staff, saw me looking for an ice maker. She informed me that the only ice maker was in the employee only area. Not only did she take my tray, but then came to my room with it full of ice. That is caring about your job, […] and the service you provide. She didn't have to do that... That is why I gave this hotel a high rating. The staff was fantastic.. Very nice stay. We have two small kids, and the suite was perfect, with two double beds in one room and a separate room with a hide-away sofa. Small but decent kitchen with full sized fridge and freezer, stove burners, a diswasher (!), pots and pans and dishes and silverware. Elegant entrance hall and very nice breakfast. We were travelling with two kids aged 9 & 6 for vacationing around DC. This turned out to be the perfect place in terms of location, price and service. Location was withing 15 mins drive to the National Mall / Smithsonian museums / Monuments / Memorials. Alexandria itself has the old town and the waterfront worth seeing once. Breakfast on all days and […] the mini dinner services on weekdays were very helpful, so was the kitchen. And the kids spent time in the outdoor pool as well. I visited several homewood suites hotels. And I definitely recommend this hotel. Staffs are absolutely kind, Morning meals are excellent.

Great place to stay. Everything is close by. Breakfast was excellent. Pullout couch was quiet uncomfortable, the mattress was too skinny. Otherwise everything else was just wonderfull.

Everything was perfekt onliy the pool-opening times were too short 11 am to 9 pm by about 95 ° F in the morning at 9 am.

This was a great hotel, we were very impressed!

I had 3 nights and had very much comfort with my family. Everything is pretty well equipped and maintained. I have no complaints at all especially about the beds where I had such nice sleeps every night. The kitchen is good enough for most cooking also. Breakfast menus have good quality. I normally do not post reviews but I had to about Homewood Suites by Hilton in Alexandria, VA. I originally planned to stay one night but extended it because of the extremely friendly and welcoming staff and comfortable accommodations. I loved the suite style of the room, with two tv's (very convenient when two people want to watch different shows at […] different times!) Had an excellent stay at Homewood Suites in Alexandria. Free parking very nice. We would drive about 3 miles to the Metro station at VanDorn and pay $4.50 to park all day then go into DC to see the sights. Beats paying a DC hotel $20-$25 per night for parking. They have a great common space by the front desk with many tables and chairs(great for playing […] cards) a Lg. screen TV and Pool Table. The outdoor space was beautifully landscaped with a great deck and pool area (you would never believe your on a busy street). Clean, convenient, great staff, i had the pleasure of a compimentary office, great complete breakfast and dinner which helped save at least $ 100 per day. I had 6 people including a 7 month old son and my 75 year old mother and all were cared for and had a great time, in the pool, playing pool or chess in the lounge. oh and did i mention the complimentary […] 24 hr coffee and the gym witha whirlpool. During our visit to the nation's capitol,we experienced a clean and wonderfully managed place to stay. The staff was very helpful in answering questions about how to get around in the city. This hotel is absolutely awesome. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Jason, joe, and liliana went above and beyond! Breakfast can not be beat, dinners/ were excellent as well. This hotel all around is well worth the money ++.

It was a very pleasant stay. The suite was spacious. The breakfast buffet was above par and very satisfying for the entire family. I would stay there again with my family.

Stayed at this hotel to visit Washington DC sites. Was very impressed with the cleanliness and updated furniture. Had a very nice time! Would definately stay their again!!

We have never stayed in DC before so we did not know what to expect. However, the best thing we did in DC what stay at this hotel. It is about 15-30 minutes from the the Center of DC depening on traffic. It would have been nice if it were close to a metro station. but with a family of 6 it was better for us to drive in anyway. The Hotel had a great […] breakfast. Better then even the typical Hot breakfast you get at many places. The real deal however was the managers reception that they offer between 5 and 7 on the weekdays. They offer a lite dinner that more then filled my family and saved us $50-70 per night becasue we did not have to buy dinner.! The hotel staff was great and accomidated our every need with a smile. We booked a suite for our family to stay here for the DC Cherry Blossom event. We arrived to DC after midnight so check in very late and the staff (guy) there that night seems to not know much when asked about the rate or other infos etc. He took a while to check us in. However, the room were newly renovated so the beds are very nice and clean looking. […] We had the whole full kitchen in our suite so it was wonderful for our family. The also serve complimentary breakfast in the morning and the staffs preparing breakfast there were very nice! We came out right before they were about to stop serving breakfast but instead of fussing and giving us a hard time, they were very sweet and kept offering us what we needed to get. It is DEFINITELY worth the price we were paying to stay here. Free parking, location seems safe. Hotel rooms are clean and seems new and worth the price. We rent the suite for 2010 Washington DC Cherry blossum. It is only 10 minutes driving to the mall. The room is clean and the service is excellent. We will choose to stay at Homewood Suites next time visiting DC.

Everything was great. Nice, clean rooms with space and a full kitchen. If I had one thing to ask for it may be an indoor pool for the kids. Otherwise- highly recommended.

This hotel was perfect. I would stay there again. The truly hot breakfast was wonderful and the beds were comfortable. All of my children liked it.

This our second stay at this hotel. It is a pleasant place staffed by helpful people. Our only problem was with the cleaning of the room. There were a couple of things awry. A dirty towel hanging on the bathroom door, an overflowing trash can made us wonder if perhaps we were in the wrong room. A call to the front desk assured us that someone wouldn't […] come barging in to find us in "their" room. The desk clerk offered to move us to another room and the head of housekeeping appeared the next day to make sure the room had been cleaned to our satisfaction. It was a nice, clean hotel that met our needs. The staff was helpful. We liked free parking and breakfast. We will stay at that hotel the next time we visit our son.

My wife, and 5 month old accompanied me on this visit. Apparently there was a large conference going on in town and there were no hotel rooms to be spared, but it did not affect the speed of our check in process or accessing other hotel services. Somehow, our reservation was made for a smoking room, which I attribute to my own mistake in indicating […] 'no preference' when I did my initial search on hotels.com. We weren't too keen on the smoking room with an infant and it did smell pretty bad (but what do you expect from a smoking room?), however, the manager was excellent the next morning and moved us after another guest checked out earlier than expected. She even physically assisted my wife with our luggage and the baby as I was attending a conference and had already left. Food was provided in the evenings from Monday- Thursday which was an unexpected surprise and was adequate. The quality of breakfast food was the same, but staff were very friendly and smiling when serving it. Internet access was easy to configure and did not get bogged down by the number of business users in the hotel. I will definitely stay here again, but will pay better attention to smoking preferences on online reservations. Lisätietoja

Can't say enough about the staff! They were always cheerful, glad to give directions, assist with Metro access, found vegetarian restaurants for us. It was one of the best experiences ever, and I travel a great deal both domestically and internationally.
