My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four nights in October 2012.. We were on an unexpected layover after flight problems getting back to the US from Russia due to Hurricane Sandy.. This hotel would be great for someone with a one night layover or a business trip.. It is not the place I would suggest if you wanted to go into Paris each day.. The free shuttle bus will pick you up in front, but then you have to wait for it to make stops at other hotels before it gets you to the airport, where you will take a lengthy train ride into town. Again, this isnt the hotels fault.. we just didnt take this into account when we booked. We didnt eat in the hotel restaurant, but the other couple we were travelling with did and told us it seemed overpriced for what they got,and that the mixed drinks were way too strong. My only real complaint about the hotel is the internet. It is about the worst internet I have found at a hotel... very slow and drops connection requently. We only stayed one night, prior to our next day's flight back to America. The hotel was perfect for what we wanted. We had a light supper there which was fine & seemed fairly priced. My wife & I stayed at this hotel the night before our departure from Paris, so that we would not miss our flight out. The hotel desk assured us they provided free shuttle service from the hotel lobby to the airport terminal. They did provide a free shuttle, however, it was VERY confusing on how to get to our terminal. The confusion started with mis-information […] from the Front Desk, then continued with the bus driver who indicated that the bus did not even go to our terminal. Thankfully we had allowed ourselves plenty of time so traveling needlessly around the airport did not cause us to miss our flight. The complimentary shuttle bus service was great in getting from the airport to the hotel and back again early the next more. The food in the cafe/restaurant was very good, but I think at 18 euro, the breakfast buffet is way overpriced. The room was spotless, roomy, clean and comfy. I would definitely stay there again next time I am in Paris.

My main reason for staying at an airport hotel was to avoid the hassel of getting up early and taking an expensive taxi to the airport. It usually takes about 45 minutes and costs about 60 euros from where i stay. My flight is aoways at 10:-0- a,m,. so I have to get up at 5:00 a.m. to get to Charles de Gaulle airport. When i went to check on the airport […] shuttle the night before, I was told because of constructyion at my terminal, the shuttle would drop me off at theinternal subway station. i would have to take them with me when going through the airport and up escalators. this is exactly what i thought i was avoiding by staying close (about 3 minutes away). So I ended up having to take acab any way, because i couldn't move my heavy bags myself. and the three minute cab ride cost 25 euros, about half of the fare for the long ride from central paris. We've always had ggod luck with Mercure. This hotel is convenient to the airport and to Paris via the RER train. The airport shuttle runs evry 15 minutes and takes very little time. It's also affordable.

Great location to the CDG airport with free shuttle service. Loved that hotel was walking distance to some cute & tasty restaurants so we didn't feel forced to only eat at hotel. Hotel staff was great and the rooms were very large, especially for European standards. Would definitely stay here again!

It was really good. Wasn't to far from the airport, plus you got a shuttle bus that took you from the airport to the front of the hotel for free. Staff were friendly and spoke English, helped out alot with bus times, Internet etc. all in all it was very good even though I only stayed for a couple of hours, but it was nice and clean, very good.

Comparable to a standard 2 or 3 star hotel with a 4 star price. Short shuttle ride to CDG airport. Dining not open in the afternoon in neither the hotel or the near-by town.

The Mercure, which I found out is pronounced "Mercury", is a business hotel in the Roissy-en-France "overnighters" cluster just outside CDG. We had a very comfortable room and bed with a close location to CDG and walking distance to several restaurants. There was parking for a fee and standard stuff for a 4 star hotel in France. I would stay here again.

I booked a non-smoking room, but this message was apparently not given to the hotel by this website. In any case, they operate on a first come first serve basis so I was left with a smoking room, and because I arrived late at night, I would have still got the smoking room, even if they had got the message with my booking! When I queried this with the […] receptionist she said "everyone" requests non-smoking so we have a problem. I suggested that they make more rooms non-smoking in that case!! When I got the room it was absolutely awful. It smelled of stale smoke and looked like it had not been decorated for about 20 years. The bathroom had smears of dirt (blood, excrement?) around the door frame. Because of my late arrival I went to breakfast at around 8.45am, apparently just after the rush. There were no tables set, or even free of dirty crockery, and the buffet was missing basics like spoons, cereal bowls. Staff were very helpful when I asked for a clean table, a bowl, a spoon, some coffee etc, but it took me a while to locate any assistance. All in all this was a terrible stay. I normally look forward to staying in Mercure hotels, as I often do when away on business, but I would never go to this one again. There are several hotels near the Paris airport. This was one of the more expensive ones. I expected good customer service and was very disappointed. I was relying on the wi-fi connection to get updates from my email. The room and reception service were both first rate. The price of breakfast was too high; and the rudeness and lack of assistance by the hotel to airport shuttle driver unacceptable. It is a good hotel and worth considering. Get a couth shuttle service driver and make a difference to impressions.

This hotel has a great staff assuming you speak a little french however they have multilanguage speaking personnel as well. All french are snobby so dont get offended if the staff act that way as well. Food in the area is pretty expensive atleast 18 euro per meal per person. The airport shuttle was very reliable plan 40 minutes for it to show up assuming […] you just missed it and it runs from 5am till midnight this is very helpful if you plan on using the train/metro system since it runs right under CDG airport. We spent no money on transport to and from paris since we had zone 1-5 passes and used the shuttle. Rooms were clean internet in the room had to be used in 5 hour intervals however we spent little time in the room to utilize such a service. What we did use for internet was very reliable and fast. Also though expensive room service was good however they might mess up some of the little details on your order also menu is slightly limited. Room service has hot meals from 6am till midnight after that its cold meals I.E. chicken club sandwich. Overall it was a great experience and would gladly stay there again with my family. We stayed there overnight and we had a good experience! If you do not have a lot of luggage this is a very nice hotel close to the airport. We did not have breakfast there but the restaurant seemed nice.

A reasonable hotel. Clean enough. Does what you'd expect from a Mecure. The 4* rating is a stretch but everything is perfectly adequate. Very comfortable bed! Room fairly basic but all usual facilities. No major complaints apart from the loo is separate from the bathroom which I don't like and there's no iron/board in the room which I would prefer access […] to. The room thermostate didn't work well so the room temperature was hard to control. I got room service dinner - a club sandwhich which was very tasty and exceeded expectations. Room service menu is limited until 7pm. Breakfast in the restaurant is a typical buffet style, nothing out of the ordinary. If attending the Roissy expo centres, there are only shuttles on the half hour between 7 - 8:30 which is pretty early. The shuttles aren't free, they are €10. The shuttle coach (which is cramped and packed) goes from the opposite side of the road outside the Holiday Inn (but this info is not obvious from the Mecure). The Mercure itself is located in the centre of a village of hotels i.e. Marriot, Holiday Inn, Best Western, Campanille et al. After an overnight flight, we arrived at the hotel 2 hours before normal check-in time. Room was ready, and we were allowed to check in right away. Room was clean. Shuttles to and from hotel are spacious, comfortable and on time.

This hotel was chosen solely because of proximity to Charles DeGaulle Airport. We have stayed there previously and have the same complaint. Most travelers, whether on business trips or vacationing, need to communicate by email. It is absurd for a hotel of the size of the Mercure not to offer free internet access via WiFi. Excellent hotel giving you a break from the smallish (but nice) average french hotel room. It was perfect for us the night before going back to the US, but it should be even better after a long tiring flight. VERY comfortable. The restaurant is not really cheap, though, but it's there.
