Parking in the hotel wasn't possible (lot was full) but luckily close by there was space reserved for bikes. Upper floor public areas get little bit hot during warm day, but in general the hotel was nice.

Excellent hotel. Very nice and spacious room. Staff very helpful. Breakfast excellent. Moved to the new Clarion Conference hotel in Trondheim for a meeting immediately after staying at the Radisson and would rate the Radisson significantly higher, certainly with respect to the spaciousness of the room and the recreation facilities.

Staff were extremely helpful during our stay. It was close to many of the tourist attractions in the city, so we were able to walk to most things. The city bus/central station as well as the train station were within walking distance, so it was very easy to get anywhere you wanted without need of a car. Four-star property in downtown Trondheim. Easy walk to cathedral, local walking streets. Large glassed-in atria with generous trees and plants -- hence the name. Rooms/bathrooms are fine. Typically expensive underground garage for parking. Good Scandinavian breakfast.

I booked our stay at the SAS Radisson Blu Royal Garden in Trondheim through hotels.com. As a Stateser abroad, I often miss the service-minded friendliness of service industry staff in the United States. Lucky for us (and you if you stay here) SAS Radisson hires staff with international backgrounds, who understand the customer service needs when engaged […] in cross-cultural communication. We were extremely impressed with Lise who had a charming Irish (english) accent, and a warm laugh. The kitchen and wait staff were also extremely friendly (almost like we were in Spain instead of Norway) and the room we stayed in (especially the beds) were extremely comfortable. Just remember to close the curtains if you stay in a room with an inside view! The hotel itself has a lot of potential but it is in need of a thorough cleaning and small renovations. Cracks in some of the stonework and exhaust on the windows dampens the effect the sky lights and walls most certainly had when the hotel was first built. And the sauna is not shared unfortunately, ie men with men and women with women. But the pool and the hot tub are beneath a glass ceiling making the area feel spacious. I was given a nice clean room with view of the river, and an infant travel cot. With the cot and our buggy, the room felt a little cramped but we managed. There is no fridge in the room, so we couldn't keep fresh milk cool. Bathroom was functional and included bathtub with fixed and movable showerheads - nice touch for women. My wife and I had a bad stay this hotel.We came with car friday evening and asked for somewhere to park our car. The hotel had no places free. I asked if I could reservate a place in the garage the next night. That was ok. Saturday I shecked and taht was still ok, but when we came back to the hotel in the evening, they have given our place to another. […] The reseptionist was unpolite and I asked for his name. Sunday was complete chaos at breakfast, no free tables, not enough dishes, cups, coffe and food. In spite of that I could not park in the garage, they had charged my card. The hotel is in a great location -- within walking distance of historic buildings and cathedral. It's a attractive, modern building. It does look like it could use a little sprucing up -- but our room was clean and attractive. The staff were very helpful. One of them came outside to help us clueless Americans figure out how to use the parking meter. […] The staff in the hotel bar helped us get on-line with our IPad. We occupied three rooms in the hotel. They were all shabby and in need of refurbishment. Facilities were lacking in areas such as the queen sized bed only had single bed covers. The hotel location was good. The breakfast was very good. Overall we thought we were booking a better quaility hotel and felt what we got was poor value.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were excellent, but our room was dusty and the pillows (all of them on the three beds we used) had a really bad smell, as if they were heavily soiled and then allowed to sit for a long period. Don't take the first room offered. Some rooms have been "refurbished", but even they are pretty shabby. Location is very good for sightseeing and there is a garage ( if it's not full). Decent breakfast. Lots of kids because of the indoor pool . Staff helpful.

This hotel was just okay. I hardly think it deserves a four-star rating. I must say that the breakfast buffet os quite nice and abundant. I just wish they offered bacon as one of the items.

Hotel is about 10 minutes from the train station and about 20 minutes from the Hurtigruten location. It's located on the water with great views of the city. It's out of the way of the main flow which is nice but still within a few minutes of the city center and shopping. It's about 5 minutes from the Nidaros Cathedral, a must see.

We spent 2 nights in a room on the 6th floor. The room was small but that didn't matter so much. What surprised us was that there were 2 windows, the one that looks out across and the other one was a slanted one on the ceiling. The window covering for the ceiling one was a shabby after-thought and didn't fully cover the window so at a time when the […] sun doesn't set....we woke up several times throughout the night thinking it was morning but it was 2am, 3am, 5am....in addition, it was hot and stuffy even with the window open. 2 nights of poor sleep = terrible experience. The rest of the room was just okay, more along the line of 3 stars. We did enjoy the breakfast buffet and hung out at the bar a lot, watching the football matches. Location is great - we walked everywhere. Overall, the hotel is okay but a room that was sleep-inducing would've made our stay much more pleasant! Lisätietoja

Fikk rom med vindu mot atrium SØR. Rommet var varmt da vi ankom kl.17 og vi satte på air-condition. Det var fortsatt varmt kl.23:30 og vi ikke fikk sove. (25Celcius?) Gikk ned til resepsjonen og ba om et annet rom. De erkjente problemet med en gang og vi fikk et rom som vendte mot atrium Øst.Bedre! -Dette var et kjent problem med siste dagers varm sol […] på ytre glassvegg sa de. Dit hotel is behoorlijk gedateerd, nog conventionele TV's (geen flatscreens) versleten badkamers en de ventilatie laat te wensen over. Bij veel kamers kan er geen raam open. Het hotel wordt wel gerenoveerd en wordt hopelijk beter. Personeel is wel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Hotellet er velbrukt og trenger en skikkelig oppgradering. Betjeningen er korrekt og norsk. Frokosten er veldig bra og det er rolig i frokostsalen, betjeningen opptrer rolig og stresser ikke gjestene, jeg sammenligner her med Rica Nidelven. Det kunne ha vært en parkeringsplass ved hotellet.

Helt OK, men h ingen fungerende AC og ingen mulighet for å åpne vindu ut = VARMT og elendig komfort.

Stort sett svært bra, men svikt i air condition på vårt tildelte rom ga en romtemperatur på 27 varmegrader før leggetid. Ved klage ga dette et skifte av rom til litt lavere comfort, men med god romtemperatur.

Fint opphold. Har en kommentar: nyoppusset rom , 403: På badet har en fått en designvask som er ubrukbar dersom en vil vaske ansiktet. For grunn, tar lite vann. Dessuten bør blandebatteriet skiftes, kan kun regulere varmen på vannet, ikke styrken. Dessuten stikker det så langt ut at det blir vanskelig å dyppe ansiktet i vasken. Romslig og fint rom med nødvendige fasiliteter, et opphold som frister til gjentagelse. P.t. foregår det noe oppussing av bygget, men ikke til sjenanse for gjestene.

Gammelt og slitt. Rommet var veldig varmt. Skulle åpne vinduet, men utenfor var det et slags inglasset område. Fungerte som et drivhus, og det var enda varmere utenfor en det var på rommet. Skrudde på vifta(air-conditionet), men det bråka no vanvittig. Så jeg hadde valget mellom å ha de dødvarmt, eller høre på bråket fra vifta. Uansett var det nesten […] umulig å sovne. Noe slitt, elendig aircondition, funket ikke i det heltestatus, bra bad, problem med spylingen, bra frokost og personalet, kommer kanskje igjen etter oppussingen.

Litt skuffende opplevelse. Hotellet er under renovering, noe som gjorde oppholdet lite optimalt. Var der for å slappe av pga sykehusbesøk. Men det var mye støy på dagtid. Stod ikke noe om renovering på hotels.com. Renovering var nødvendig da hotellet virket veldig slitt. Ok frokost. Dyr avgift for parkering. Oppholdet ble en total skuffelse. Rommet var slitt og lampene var skjeve og gulvet ripete og stygt.Det aller verste var imidlertid ventilasjonsanlegget som bråkte slik at det var vanskelig å sove.Bilen som vi leide på Værnes ble utsatt for hærverk på parkeringsplassen i nærheten av hotellet pinseaften.Det eneste positive ved oppholdet var svømmebassenget.Dette […] hotelloppholdet ble dessverre en nedtur for meg og min mann Lisätietoja

Vi fik et rum med vindue kun til indre arealer; dette var ikke forventet. Luften virkede noget indelukket; måske fungerede aircon eller lignende ikke som det skulle. Personalet var servicemindede og placeringen i Trondheim i top.

Bra hotell. Blir nok topp når stilas i resepsjonen er borte. Savnet å få opp vindu for frisk luft, men det var jo mitt i hotellet.
