This hotel is across the square from the train station so no need for taxis when you arrive. Perfect location for canal boats, red light district, shopping and some great restaurants. The hotel is very smart and the room was large with all the usual amenities. On our 1st night we were kept awake by very noisy central heating pipes. Love this hotel! Great location. This was our third stay at the hotel. We would stay there again.

The room was nice and renovated. The breakfast was exellant. Very near to all point of interest. I would choose to stay again in this hotel.

The location was extremely convenient to catching trains to/from Amsterdam Central Station. All the major sights were within walking distance of the hotel. The concierge was very eager to give tips and to recommend activities to do. His estimates of walking times were right on! I have stayed in many hotels around Europe, and the Park Plaza Victoria far exceeded my expectations in terms of size, comfort, and amenities. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and others traveling to Amsterdam. The checkout line on Sunday was very long (15 guests in line). The location of the hotel was perfect...only a minute's walk to the main streets and attractions. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Overall we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning.

Convenient location. My husband and I had a beautiful corner room with 2 large windows and a balcony. Only drawback was that it was very noisy outside and remained that way until around 2 AM. Forget about opening the windows because the noise would have been too much to tolerate.

Front desk was extremely helpful! Concierge and restaurant staff were also very pleasant. The room is a bit small by American standards but was very nice (urban wing). The hotel is in a central location so the entrance tends to get extremely crowded. There is plenty to do nearby (all walking distance). The Victoria Plaza Hotel in Amsterdam is in a great location, across the road from the central train station. All cafe, restaurants and bars in walking distance. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and have full knowledge of local attractions. The room was clean and quite and I would return to stay in this hotel.

Spent 4 nights in a superior room. Room in new wing had ultra modern design but the lighting was more suitable for for a boudoir and not very practical.The room overlooked the back of neighbouring buildings. A good location close to main station, bars, restuarants & shopping.

I've found that hotels in Amsterdam are, as a general rule, sub-par for Europe, and the Park Plaza Victoria continues this trend. One tiny working elevator, smelly outdated halls; the bathroom in our room had a sink that was supposed to be cool looking in the 70's, I'm sure, but it couldn't be effectively cleaned so the sink was always disgusting. this hotel is ideally placed for sight seeing - close to public transport links and within walking distance of many of the tourist attractions. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is luxurious - well worth the money.

Hotel Victoria (Park Plaza) was in a wonderful location! Right across the street from Central Station. It was also Cental of tons of things to do. Hotel was very nice, and so was the staff. Made us feel very welcomed. Only downsides, which I can barely complain since it was such a nice stay, however if I were to name downsides it would be that the room […] was kind of stuffy- the doors to windows opened but it was very noisy outside so it was either well ventilated and noisy or kind of stuffy and quiet. Also, the bed had only a down comforter on it, and no top sheet. I was so hot all night with my only choice of a blanket being a down comforter. Other than those two things, stay was great! the hotel was operating an elivator that was making noises and was going through on off maintanence cheeks but was still falty and scary when we left. the room was not cleand on a daily basis and only after repeated requests to the cleaning lady the room was cleand. in general the staff of the hotel is very rood to the guests and the hotel is not giving […] you a comfortable stay. Right opposite to Amsterdam Centraal and the main transportation hub. Ideal for exploring the city by public transport. Hotel staff are friendly and accommodating (We were given a room even with 6am check-in). Room is bit tiny but beds are comfortable. I enjoyed staying at the hotel and would stay again, however the only bad point would be that hotel staff knock on the door of the room and then immediately enter. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels around the world and have never experienced this.

Run down, shabby room/carpet; not particularly clean. Bathroom grout wasn't moldy but was well on its way. Right across from Amsterdam Central station so easy access to street cars, high speed and subway trains. General neighbourhood was dirty and not particularly pretty. Hotel located at a very busy intersection; noise level was tolerable but street […] car "squeals" and crosswalk signals could be heard from time to time. Decent restaurants and city attractions are about a 15-20 minutes walk away. Food at the hotel was ho hum and expensive for what it was. Comfortable, clean hotel, helpful staff. Good location - near to central station - good transport links. Had buffet breakfast included which was superb.

We were on Holiday and this was an ideal location, across the street from Amsterdam;s Central Transport station. Most attrations were in walking distance or a short tram ride which always come back to the central station. The area was always busy. We were in the "new" Urban Wing of the hotel. Rooms were very modern, baths excellent, pleanty of hot […] water, free internet (lower speed, OK for email). You could opt for high speed at a cost. A bit pricy but all of Amsterdam is pricy. Hotel is in a good location that's no doubt. Rooms are kind of old style, may have been remodeled. Breakfat buffet is pretty good, but very expensive, 20 euro per person. Hotel reception peoples are cooperative. One of the hotel manager was very rude. Some charges they made us to pay, that could have been avoided. I will not go to this hotel again.

We loved this hotel. It was very nice and very close to everything you want to see. The train station is on the other side of the street.

Needed to be near to station and not many closer!! :) good facilities and bar, but a bit pricey.

We were very happy with this hotel which we found to be quiet despite the position opposite the main station. The position made access to and from Schipol airport very easy - its only about 15 minutes by rail and there are frequent trains. Also good to access the trams as well as the boat trips which leave from points barely 50 metres from the hotel. Staff were welcoming, well informed, and helpful. Kitchen service was slower than we'd expected but this may have been due to a fairly busy restaurant at the time. The city centre is relatively small so. although the hotel is not situated on one of the 'old' canals,its easy walking distance. The Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam is greatly located just opposite the Central Station but you can't hear any trams or trains. It's fairly modern although the lobby and a wing are very classical. It's clean and has spacious bedrooms. The bathrooms are modern and have a nice big shower. This is a fine hotel in a great location. Within walking, no throwing distance of the main train stations and the boat tours of Amsterdam's canals. This is a grand hotel with a great location. The service is excellent and rooms are a decent size.

We enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam and the hotel was good but with one or two reservations. The safe in our room did not work and they promised to repair it but didn't which meant we were inconvenienced by having to use the Safety deposit box in the Reception over the 3 days. There was scaffolding outside the room with safety netting over it which did […] not allow for a clear view out of the window. One or two of the staff were not aware that the hotel served breakfast in two restaurant areas. They said there was only one room for breakfast which was very expensive at €23 for continental & €29 for the buffet breakfast. We ended up eating outside. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient, I was given a single bed in a tiny room ofr what is quite an expensive rate in Amsterdam. The reception staff were quite rude, as they seemed unable to deal with more than 3 customers checking in silmutaneously (it doesnt cost anything to acknowledge someone's presence and say you will be with them in a few minutes). An old hotel well maintained . Right by the train station. Great for public transportation. A lot of traffic noise, and people.

Excellent location, close to all the tourist attractions and travel network. Staff all very friendly and co-operative with everything. Only downside was breakfast cost which we paid on leaving.... we were charged a lot more than we expected, per adult, which included our 12 year old. Our 8 year old was free. A good hotel in a great location

This hotel is top class. Service from staff was excellent from minute we arrived. Location is perfect. Rooms are very clean and airy. Price could possibly be re looked at but that is only a small flaw

This is my second stay in this hotel. Having stayed here two years ago, i couldnt help but compare our first experience with the establishment. I have nothing but praises for the hotel staff, they have been very helpful and accommodating as always. However, as much as i love the location of our room (we had a spectacular view out of our window), it […] was tiny and cramped compared to our previous one to think that i even paid much more for our room during our second stay. Also, my cousin and i had some unfortunate "experiences" with our bed- the silver stand supporting the bedframe at the bottom of the bed is quite "dangerous" to be honest. Due to the smallness of our room, we kept tripping on the bed's stand and it was horrendously painful on all occasions.:-( if i may be blunt, you have there a lawsuit waiting to happen (not from us of course!) but maybe from other people who may really hurt themselves much worse than we have by tripping on those stands (and theyre even pointed/sharp at the edges) just my two cents for the improvement of your service. thanks. The concierge service was amazing - from getting tickets to events at a discount, making restaurant suggestions, giving directions and maps, with smiling efficiency.

The hotel was in a great location just across the street from the train station and convienent to the main square and red light district. The only drawback was the shower which because of the setup will get water all over the door and floor if your not very careful.

We found the hotel to be excellent, very helpful and friendly staff, centrally located, very close to central station and to Dam Square. Rooms a little small, but very clean. Nice Bar and resteraunt. We were a little surprised to fine a total of 40euro city tax added to our bill on check out, 20 euro per couple, they explained that this was standard […] in tourist cities. The staff at this hotel are very polite and extremly helpful. The rooms were pretty basic and there were alot of noise at night from other guest walking up and down the corridor and slamming doors but apart from that I wuld stay there again as it is located in a great place.

This hotel is in an excellent location in AMS. It's directly across the street from the AMS Centraal Train Station. It's also conveniently located near several tram and boat stops. My only complaint is the age of the hotel. The area of the hotel we were in smelled very musty and the room smelled a little bit like mold. The good news is it looked like […] the hotel was going floor by floor and renovating the rooms. The conceirge and hotel security were great!!
