Excellent for the price it was. Nice, clean neighborhood of Ann Arbor near the North Campus of UofM. Buy the room for double beds because the price is about the same but more roomy. That is what I did - alone. Free room phone calls around all the USA ! I liked the simple breakfast too - it was all fresh and ok tasting even if it came out of bags...Danishes were great ( I do not usually even eat pastry). The only negative I found was that the walls are not the thickest! Ask to live in the 3rd floor and in the court yard (front side). While in town try Red Hawk's fajita salad, and Olga's Kitchen! ( I used to live here for school in the 90's and they have been around since!)

The suite was one of the best rooms we've been to. Very big, with a kitchen, sofa, desk, good bed with prober linen, nice bathroom and lots of space. The area was next to a highway but still was very quiet and calm. Pretty little place. The lobby was great and the breakfast there very good (fruit, woffles, scrambled eggs, bagels, muffins, yogurt etc.). We have nothing to complain about this place and would definitely come back again!

I was impressed by the room (with two large flat screen TV's) and the quality of service. Everybody was really friendly. However, three out of four lamps in the room did not work, also the air condition was inoperative. A call to the bell desk brought a technician to my room in a minute or so (very fast) and these things were fixed. The complimentary breakfast was modest, just tee/coffee, some muffins etc. The location could not be better. Both Greektown and the GM Renaissance Center are just around the block.

Everything was great except the distinct odor in the room--body odor. Not sure if it was left over from previous guests or the cleaning staff, but the stench in the curtains, bedspreads, and furniture was awful. This took away from an otherwise very nice stay. The location was very convenient to the airport. The staff was very nice and the room was clean. Tba bathroom was a little cramped and the room was somewhat dated. I would certainly stay here again.

It was very nice. I needed directions and they had mapquest directions already printed up - gave us the directions both ways. The staff was very nice and everything was great. I loved the excrcise room too!

"Pre-flight hotel stay"
Service: Fantastic! Cleanliness: Fantastic! Location to airport and long term parking: Fantastic! I stay in mostly 4-5 star hotels and I must say this hotel is grossly under-rated. I'm not sure, but this was as clean and the service was as superior as the JW Marriott we stayed in in Washington D. C.. This hotel, although not large in size, was very […] richly appointed. Our room was impeccably clean! So much so that we were generous in leaving a tip on the nightstand for the cleaning staff. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right! The shuttle to parking was waiting at the airport as soon as we had collected our bags after a week long cruise. The location of this hotel, price and amenities make it 4 stars in my book. Food at the restaurant was good. Pool and gym were in great shape. Pool provided a perfectly relaxing ending to our stay in Michigan. We decided to stay here because we had an early flight and were traveling with 3 kids. Beds were very comfy. Kids had a great time. "Beware"
After getting a "deal" for this hotel, we were later charged an "airport" tax of $20. I have stayed at other hotels in the vicinity and did not receive this charge!
"Close but not Close"
The airport shuttle took way too long to get to the airport and it was not during off-hours. Some pilots were there waiting for a ride and indicated it was normal. When I called the hotel said the shuttle would be there in 10 mins. - took 45 mins. Defeats the purpose of being an airport hotel.

We found only Decaf coffee and asked for regular. it was mostly supplied. We would have used our own coffee, but the coffee maker was not convenient for that.

My daughter and I have stayed here numerous times and each and every time it has been wonderful. Great room. Great hotel. Even greater staff. Last time we stayed in the area this hotel wasn't available. We were sorely disappointed with our second choice.

"Clean room, nasty pool room"
The room was nice and clean and comfortable, but the pool was a huge disappointment. There was a dirty film covering the pool, and the hot tub water was so low the jets didn't really work and it stank.

We attend University of Michigan games 5-6 times a year & save money by staying out by the airport. We have now stayed at 5 different hotels in the area around the airport & this has been the nicest to date. The staff was very nice & the room was absolutely spotless. "Mariott Detroit Airport - A Hidden Gem"
SUrprisingly quiet for being next to the airport, this hotel is beautifully constructed inside and the ammenities are great. We spent almost five hours sitting in the pub watching sports and chatting over great food and cold pints of beer.
