I would not stay in this hotel again and would not recommend it. Carpets were worn and did not look clean-definitely needed to keep shoes on. My daughter found a pubic hair on a clean washcloth. There are so many strip joints around this hotel...don't need to wonder where the hair came from. Bed had a worn spot where people typically sleep. I was looking for a room to relax before a red eye flight and this hotel is only a mile from the airport. The hotel was dingy and the desk clerk was distracted and gave us the wrong room keys. The room was equally dingy and MUSTY. We sat with the door wide open for over an hour. Also the toilet leaked. A VERY LONG 9 HOURS!!

Overall, this place was good. We were not at all unhappy with it. The room was nice inside. Comfy king bed with 5 fluffy pillows and good blankets/sheets. Chair and ottoman good. Sink nice with good lighting. Bathroom small but worked for us. Shower head adjustable although ours was loose and was hard to turn to correct setting. Remote control didn't […] work, so we asked front desk for batteries. maintenance came right away and resolved it. but it died again on our 3rd day and we gave up on it. Room had refrigerator and microwave, and both worked fine, except the start button on the micro was hard to get to respond. Used free WiFi. Worked fine. Friday night was very crowded with Marines and their girlfriends and families. Seems to be some sort of connection with this property and the Marines. A little noisy but nothing bad. Hot tub was crowded that night but empty the rest of the time. Is supposed to be open til 10pm but was closed early on our last night, probably because it was raining lightly. Breakfast: turn in tickets you get at check-in in one room for fresh cooked, yummy scrambled eggs and pancakes. Then eat in dining room across walkway where you can add O.J., apple juice, coffee, milk, muffins, danish, toast, fruit loops, corn flakes, bagels w/ cream cheese, oatmeal packets. Third morning, pigeons were walking thru breakfast room with no attendant monitoring it. OJ too rich but fine. Parking ok...narrow spaces. Complex has two buildings, separated by very small street. We stayed in bldg closer to Rosecrans and it seemed to be the quieter one, which made us glad. Pool, hot tub and breakfast rooms are in the back building, so the central courtyard there may get noisy. Elevator was fine. Lots of pizza fliers stuck through door every day, including guys from one company removing those form a rival company. We ate at Tio ______'s next door the first night. Stayed at Days Inn to attend my son's MCRD graduation....first of all they do not offer airport shuttle service even though the web site says differently....the front desk staff was rude from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. When we arrived we found that our luggage had been inspected by TSA and the baggie that our bath items were in was […] opened and we had lotion all over our clothes. When we found the guest laundry room it was approx 950 pm...the Security guard saw us go in and stopped us and said it closed at 1000pm and we did not have enough time to do our laundry. When we explained the situation, he told us, everyone has a story and we should have planned better....even after contacting the front desk we were not allowed to use the laundry room...my husband washed our clothes out in the bath tube and we both wore damp jeans to family day. On our 1st morning we were up at 0500 my husband was ironing and I was blow drying my hair when the circuit breaker blew...called the front desk, the same security guard came and did something outside the room, we had the door open to get some light and he shouted in "you all must be running to much stuff".....at 0545 we went to the front desk and asked that a cab be called for us to get to MCRD as the hotel shuttle des not run until 0700....the front desk clerk decided to lecture me about how the 0600 breakfast on base was optional and did I know that nothing really starts until 0900. When i said I had a copy of the schedule, he said, "whatever lady, that is just dumb to go this early" and then he called a shuttle service, not a taxi. Make note that if you get to the base by 0600 you can see the marines practicing for graduation and by 0615 the line of cars is outside the gate, most families arrive way before 0730. They didnt say 5* but it was very comfortable and what I wanted. I was there for 3 days but not for tourist things. For what i wanted, a quick stop over and a bit of comfort I was very happy

Quick overnight stay to be near airport, room was big, had a balcony, clean. The pool and spa were a nice treat. Can't beat the price and we were 2 miles to our car rental place.

the hotel was great, with one exception. After a long day out in San Diego with the kids, the TV was not working well. Need that for down time. Everything else was Great.

I was not at all pleased with my stay at this hotel. The rooms smelled musty. The shuttle was not available and you must have a tickets for breakfast. There are many things that are not available for those who book rooms online. This is probably one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. As my husband said," this is like a generic Days Inn. I read a lot of reviews and I though this place would be nice. There were so many things wrong with this place. One the AC smelled like mildew and all of are things smelt that way when we got home. There is not one kids channel on the TV for being Days Inn of Sea World. The place is located in the getto I didn't even fill safe. Your bathroom sink is […] 1 foot from the bed. The staff could care less about you as a customer. Don't even get me started on the " free breakfast" this place is so gross and they had birds flying in and eat of the counters. Tbe hotel was noisy, due to regular graduation groups from the nearby Marine Academy. The room was dated, due for new carpets, sheets,etc. and only delivered to the airport, No pickup, as advertised. The staff was not that friendly or helpful and I had to move rooms late at night due to a noisy boiler near the first room. decent hotel for the money you pay

Staff was very friendly, good breakfast (could stay open a little longer), great location! This hotel is 10 minutes away from everything; downtown, beaches, shops, etc. Many things in walking distance also made it very convenient. Only small downfall is that the rooms aren't very up-to-date.

Stayed at this hotel 3 nights. Very happy with this hotel. Had the two room suite. Very clean and comfortable. Everything worked. Staff was great. Hotel location is perfect. Didnt clean room on the first day. Had to stop in at front desk to get towels because they didnt bring them earlier when i called. Found a cockroach behind the mini fridge. Wouldnt stay there again

I was very pleased with how everything 'tourist' was accessable to this hotel. We loved that everyone was so friendly. The only downfall was the 'hot' breakfast is not included as stated, however, you can purchase the upgrade. If all you want to do is see and do then this is your place to stay. Overpriced. The room was NOT a suite. Literally slept on coils of the sofa bed.

I loved that this place was right in the middle of allot of places to eat.

We were disappointed in the room size...we had a suite which found to be small compared to other hotels and the price we paid. Also, suppose to be free hot breakfast....no one told us after standing in line to get eggs and pancakes that we needed $5 tickets for this.....very disappointed we had to pay to get a decent breakfast...no meat just pancakes […] and scrambled eggs....shuttle service good other than the fact they only had two running instead of the three they had and we had to wait a long time on either end. Great location, newly renovated (but warned by the front desk that not all rooms were renovated). free parking, hot breakfast (with a meal ticket when checking in) of pancakes and eggs. Suite was large enough (king size bed + sofa bed). light bulbs and fridge didn't work but was replaced quickly. tv's are outdated but there is cable, had a remote for […] channels just up and down but not number input. bed comfortable enough but wasn't plush or pillow top. neighboorhood kinda scetchy, but didn't feel like my life was in danger. 24hrs walgreens nearby and restaurants nearby as well. highly recommended. I wasn't happy with the Days Inn Suites Hotel when my family visited in September of 2011. The air conditioning units were in the middle of the walls and were very old units that blew the air right on to you while you slept. The TV's in each room were no bigger than 13 inches and were probably 15 years or older. The hotel must be next to college housing […] or actually housed college students because they were very loud outside our room each night. The community pool/hot tub is in a common area in the middle of the facility and was so loud each and every night (including the work week) that it kept my kids awake at night. The bathrooms are very, very small while having the "bathroom" sink in the middle of the bedroom suite which is very odd as well. The neighborhood is sketchy at best too. The guy who manages the maintenance staff was rude to us as well. We asked for a luggage rack to take our luggage from the back of the facility to the front for our aiport taxi. Unfortunately they couldn't find one for us. We had to hunt down the entire facility for a luggage rack. Once we found the rack we used it and on the way up to the front with our 8 pieces of luggage the Maintenance Mgr had the guts to utter the words,"you aren't the only one staying with us, we need that luggage rack." I laughed at him and kept walking. Not to mention that we had to pay an airport taxi to take our luggage and everyone in my family to the airport at 5:30 a.m. The airport was five minutes away and they had 5-6 large vans in their parking lot. I found it hard to believe they couldn't shuttle us and our luggage to the airporat as apart of their services. Also, when we checked in the front desk staff was terrible. The young lady was about as enthused for us to be there as she was getting a root canal. We had to ask where everything was including pool, our room, where to park and how close some of the local attractions were there. She was only interested in upselling us "continental breakfasts." We stayed there Sept. 14-17, 2011. Suites look very old & dirty. Lots of stains, holes and broken furniture parts. Very noisy "living room" areas. Can hear the planes and people in the pool sound like they're in your room. Bedroom areas seem a little more sound proof. Wouldn't unpack from our suitcase out of fear from dirt. Checked in after check in time and still had to wait for room . Didn't like the fact that the room only had one trash can. Water temperture in shower kept changin from hot to cold.

Although the hotel wasn't too bad. It took them over an hour to find us an iron. Plus the room we were in was across the street to the continental breakfast that they offered. Who wants to walk across the street early in the morning??

The ac had a bad smell coming out of it. The bed was so uncomfortable and the room needed some upgrades the coffee maker did not work. I don't recommend this to my friends

The only problems I encountered was the slow Internet service in the lobby that was frustrating. The hinge on the room door preventing me from slamming the door upon entering and exiting. Children playing and running down the stairs and elevators early in the morning. And the TV cable cord constantly needed adjusting because it was loose in the TV. […] Other than that, I was in an ideal location near shopping centers, fast food restaurants and easy access to the airport and convention center. great location for everything comfortable room

Hotel staff and shuttle drivers are great. Very informative and helpful. Bathtub was a little dirty and we did find 2 spiders in our bed ( babies) but good location for nearby attractions and food. We would stay here again.

The room was kind of dated and a little run down, but it was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was not the greatest, but it was near my daughter's school, was very affordable and we felt safe walking around.

We arrived at 4pm and were given a room that the maid had just started to clean. They gave us the room next door. We started to unpack and got a little warm so we went to put the air on. Guess what no air. Called the office they sent the maintenance man right away. All he did was hit the reset button and said he would be back in 5 mins. Well 20 mins […] later we called the front desk again to ask where he went. They said they didnt know he was supposed to come back and would send him right over we explained to them we had to leave to make a baseball game. 30 mins later still nothing. We called the front desk and got put on hold for 10 mins. We finally had to leave to make our baseball game and figured we would take care of it when we got back or they would come in and fix it. When we got back nothing had been fixed. We called the front desk and they said they tried to call us in the room a couple times but we didnt answer. We explaned to them again we had to leave and couldnt wait around any longer. They said they were going to change our room but they are now sold out. We asked how it was they knew there was a problem and were going to change rooms and yet they gave that room away anyway knowing there was a problem. All they did was offer us a fan. We were on the ground floor with no screens on the windows or the slider so we had to keep them closed. needless to say it was warm even with a fan. The next morning we called again and were told they would fix the problem. We advised them we were leaving to go to Legoland but to please come in and fix the air. Upon arrival, the hotel staff were professional and efficient checking us in. However, we were expecting a room with a jacuzzi and ended up on the 3rd floor- not a big deal really, but noted. The room was clean and simple- one annoying fact: when the TV was turned-on, it was always maximum volume (full-blast) and needed to immediately be reduced. There was also a refrigerator and microwave available in the room and the ice machine was on the 2nd floor easy access. Parking spots were narrow but we avoided door dings by taking end spots. Adult night clubs were a few blocks away, but the immediate area seemed okay. There are continental breakfast tickets (white) and full breakfast tickets (yellow) available- we were given the white ones and had cereal, fruit and toast with juice for breakfast the first morning. After that, we ate at Einstein's bagles across the street. People seemed friendly, but appeared a little shady and each night we heard sirens nearby. Overall not a bad stay- we were within 4 miles of Sea World and the hotel offered a shuttle. I wouldn't be against brining my family here again, but I'd look to see what else is available. The parking is terrible. If you have a small compact you may be able to fit your car in a parking spot. Customer service is horrendous. The neighborhood is in a bad area. I was worried my car was going to get stolen. I definitely would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Days Inn - Airport/Seaworld was a convenient location for Seaworld, but the surrounding area was not great (bums on the roads surrounding the hotel), not much to walk to. You need a car to get around from this hotel. The continental breakfast was awful...only bread, bagels and awful muffins and danishes. No protein except for cream cheese. Coffee […] was awful as well. Selection of fruit was not great (oranges and apples only, with bananas available on the last day). The website says hot continental breakfast but we were only given the white tickets for the cold breakfast. I didn't bother complaining as the hot breakfast was ony scrambled eggs and hash browns and pancakes...which did not look very good anyway. We ended up eating breakfast out after 2 days. We couldn't face the same boring breakfast options for one more day. Even just offering peanut, cheese and jam would have helped and bananas for fruit. I wouldn't stay here again. Lisätietoja

I have stayed at this hotel many times. This is a great place to stay for the money. It is located close to most of the attractions and the airport. The staff is very friendly.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room. It had been renovated with granite counter top on the sink, nice bedspreads and comfortable beds. I would recommend it to a friend.
