"Arbor suites by the hospitals"
We had a wonderful stay on our two nights. The room was very clean!! The hotel front desk guy that was there went above and beyond his duties. The power went out on Friday night and he was running around personally knocking on doors to check on vacancies because the computer readers were down. He was trying to check in new guests. He had been working […] 16 hours that day and 12 the next day. He should be recognized for his efforts. I'm not sure what his name was but we were there on April 13 and 14 2012 so that should tell u who he was. I would say the only complaint there would be would have to be the highway noise because the hotel does sit right off the highway but it was not unbearable by any means. Overall we agree with the other positive reviews. The room was clean and updates were very well done on an obviously older hotel. The breakfast was very nice and it was great for our quick stop through.
Good price for a comfortable room. Pet friendly is a big plus.

The Bed in the room I had was very soft and springy. The establishment has not changed the matresses in the room I was assigned to in a while. We booked two rooms over Christmas holiday 2011. My sister and her family asked to move to a room in the fron of the hotel after first night due to noise from dogs in adjoining room, general room discomfort (especially mattresses) and noise from emergency vehicles. They were OK afterwards, but not happy (but only had one more night so didn't leave). […] Our room had the worst mattresses I have ever experienced in a hotel room - and I travel internationally! The faucet in the bathrub had gotten totally pitted and lost all the chrome plating - it looked awful (not concerned about esoterics, but that tells me a LOT about their attention to maintenance) After our first night, housekeeping provided new towels and generally cleaned, but didn't change linens (not a big deal) but then sort-of partially made up our beds. I am really not sure what happened there. We had planned to check out and move to another hotel that day but it was too late. The next morning we definitely checked out - 2 days early. Friendly staff at check in. Rooms and bathrooms were large in size and clean. They even have complimentary laundry facilities! This is a hidden gem, and an amazing value! I would stay here again.

We asked for a non smoking room and were overwhelmed by the smell of smoke when we walked in the room. The internet didn't work and we were awoken by the trash emptying the dumpster at 4:30 in the morning. The breakfast was good though and so was the customer service
Thank you posting a review about the Hotel. We only have a few smoking rooms on site and have a strict smoking policy. I want to apologize that we overlooked that problem. Normally our internet works fine but next time you come stay with us make sure to call the front desk so we can address the problem right then. The trash trucks can be our worse enemy while we are sleeping I wish that they was something I could do about that. I am glad that you enjoyed our breakfast and the good customer service. My staff works really hard to make sure every guest need is met. We look forward to seeing you soon.

I very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The service was friendly and there were no problems. The office closes at 9pm which could be a problem for someone coming in late, but that was all. The breakfast was no great, but it was edible and I liked the biscuits with sausage gravy. I will probably stay here again. I would like to thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are in a great location for medical stays but also welcome all of our other guest as well. I would like to make a correction that our lobby is open 24 hours a day. I think that on some of the .com sites it may say that we close at 9, I will check into getting that changed. We do have a good selection of breakfast items. The Biscuits and Gravy are a hit. If you in the Springfield area again we would like to have you back.

"Convenient to highway and city but loud"
Had to switch rooms because fridge was damaged. Room was loud because next to highway. But close to restaurants and medical center. Not very clean and had a few bugs in room on first floor. We stated at the hotel while searching for a new house. The hotel was a great value. The room was clean, had a separate sitting area, free breakfast, and the staff was very helpful. I would stay at the hotel again in the future.

The only reason why I did not rate my experience with all "5's" was the roon had a stale odor but because there were no other rooms available on the 1st floor, I did not change rooms. This hotel is a very nice hotel. Me and my husband stayed here because it was close to Cox Hospital South and he was in town for pre-op, the location is excellent its right off the highway, the neighbor hood is safe, the only complaint we had is our room was on the side facing the interstate so it was really noisy. Nice place to stay in the southside medical district. Located right off of the highway. Can be difficult getting out since you can't turn left on National. Use the tunnel that connects to the hospital parking lot. Good breakfast of eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuit and gravy.

The room was nice, modern layout and space. Clean. The bed was a bit hard, plus the furniture shows wear of many years, although style wise not out of style. big CRT TV. Convenient frig and MW oven. Very nice breakfast with hot items. Needs a juice and milk dispenser. Wireless internet in room worked fine.
