I loved how close this hotel was to all the disney attractions. I only wished that the drain hadn't been clogged in the bathroom as it made showers difficult.

Yes the hotel was very good, having stayed the previous week in Disney Hotel this was cheaper and probably better as a place to stay. It was let down by the transport to the parks. Two routes..one does Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, the other Epcot and Studios. One day we went to Magic Kingdom not bad but the return we were picked up and then had […] to go to Animal Kingdom before returning to Hotel which took almost an hour. It's down the street from downtown Disney. Great location. Rooms are decent. I would stay there again. Oh and pretty edible buffet for a good price.

This was a last minute vacation with my 4 adult children. While the room needed some maintenance in the bathroom and could stand an update, it was an excellent value. Most of the rooms I had called about were $400-800+ for just one night. This hotel was reasonable and close to Disney and they provided a shuttle to the parks. Hotel parking $11, but free shuttle to epcot, where parking is $14. Beds very comfortable and great linens, but do agree with previous review, beds are full size and small. Room was clean but the desk and chair were torn up, no biggy didnt effect our stay, would stay again.

Our stay was brief but there was no fridge so we had to get ice and put baby bottles in ice bucket. There is no continental breakfast at all. It was clean in our room but the rest of the hotel was not overwhelmingly impressive.

Me and my fiancé could hear the couple in the room next to us going at it at 2 in the morning. Not acceptable.

We didn't know that half the hotel is closed for renovations. The cafe was closed and only a take out service with tables was available.

The hotel was conveniently located by the Marketplace and lots of other hotels. There was a lot of traffic around dinnertime, making it hard to get out and make a u turn. Our air conditioner was set to 60 but the room was warm and the fan blew loudly all night. The pool was nice and the hot tub was large. The staff was smiling as soon as we came through […] the front door and they were very friendly. The bathroom was so large with a huge corner garden tub/shower. The drain wouldn't stay up in the tub so we had to wedge something in it. The bed was comfortable. We had a "balcony" with a slider that only opened 6 inches so you couldn't go outside. We've stayed in this hotel before but this time they put us on the older side...which I didn't know existed. Stuffy room that really iterated my allergies. The A/C was VERY loud and it never turned off. Wich was good and bad. Good because it helped minimize the hallway noise when sleeping. But annoying in that we couldn't shut it off. Having stayed here in Oct. 2012, we thought this would be a perfect place to take our entire family for a Disney Vacation. We booked 3 "Delux" tower rooms, asked that all be together, and asked for a higher floor with a view of downtown Disney. We received 2 rooms together, on the 2nd floor and a view of a BLOCK WALL!!!!!! I cannot believe that we paid […] for this!!! Upon checking out, we called for a bellman to get all of our luggage downstairs. After waiting for over 45 minutes we finally put everyone to work, and carried EVERYTHING down ourselves. Rooms are outdated, but a decent value for being so close to Disney. The shuttle service to the parks is great. Room was clean and the staff were courteous and quick to respond to our request for more towels. Pool was nice and warm despite being a bit cool for Orlando in February.

Prior to our stay, I had read many of the reviews. I believe some of the reviews were unjust. Yes, the rooms need updating, but they were clean and very comfortable. Linens were very nice. I had a Great Stay, everything was great. The hotel has Renovation Construction going on at this time. Nights are quiet, days could be quite noisy in the Tower.

We had two rooms, 1 rooms sleeper sofa bed was dirty had to call maidservice to have it cleaned and we done, sheets looked clean but still a turn off! Doing construction on top floors wasnt overly load but still able to hear noise! No fridge in either room, other hotels in area with same or similar pricing atleast had a mini-fridge in the room! Paid […] over $500 for the kingbed room for 3nights that included resort fee's and then was told at check-in i would b charged a additional $11 a day for parking! Stayed twice, both times the shower/bathtub drains did not drain leaving me standing in backed up drainwater. The mattress on the fold out sofa was extremely stained (no sheets or padding were on it). Old urine was present on the toilet hinges. The gym equipment was old and not in good working condition.

My stay was great. I did not use any of the amenities because I was there for an event being held at Disney which took all my spare time. The only complaint I would voice is that they are refurbishing the hotel so everything above the 8th floor is closed. I was staying on the 8th floor. This hotel's location was perfect for what we needed...the staff that we encountered were very pleasant...and our room was very comfy with warm bedding - which rarely happens! Would totally stay here again if in the Orlando area!

Hallway to room very shabby and run down. Room itself clean although nothing special. Water in showe/tub was either scalding hit or icy cold. Not even an apology from the staff let alone an offer to make it right. Breakfast overpriced and not hot.

Disappointing stay. The description of the room included "newly renovated" which was not the case. The room hadn't been renovated for a decade or two and the A/C didn't work. The front desk staff was not interested in doing much for us, e.g. get a better room, have a look at the A/C but claimed that all rooms had been renovated 10-11 years ago..like […] if that was any help. We have stayed at this hotel several times. The staff is friendly & helpful. valet parking is great. The only downfall is the reataurant, otherwise everything else is great. We enjoyed our stay. Being bused to the theme parks is great, so you do not have to drive anywhere.

convenient to downtown disney; bus schedule to parks was very convenient; air conditioning unit in room is in the ceiling and was quite loud; the ceiling fan in the room was a pleasant surprise

I was disappointed. It has been quite a while since I stayed and it has gone down significantly. The drapes and chair was ragged. I had trouble with the AC and heat and had to have maintenance come to the room twice in four days.

This property is aging and everything about it screams, "1982." The pool is lackluster, the pool bar wasn't even open during our stay, A sign nearby said to call a hotel extension to get drinks and food, but there was no house phone anywhere around. There are no flat screen TVs in the rooms, they are all old picture tube style. I paid extra to valet […] park the car, but on the last night of my stay, there was no one to park the car and I had to park it myself in the valet spot. The towels are in horrible condition, very raggedy and old. Twice when we were there, I found human hairs amongst our towels. The concierge desk is useless because I asked him some questions about downtown Disney, and the person behind the desk had no idea what I was talking about. I was asking about the new bowling alley, Splitsville, and he knew nothing about its existence. The hotel restaurant reminds me of a Denny's. when you stay on the Hotel Plaza Boulevard, you get treated like the evil stepchild of the Disney organization. The buses only run every half-hour, the trips take forever, and my husband almost missed his flight on Sunday night because it took us two hours via Disney bus ticket from the Magic Kingdom back to our hotel. A two hour one-way trip by bus is inexcusable. When we stayed at the Port Orleans resort, A Disney-owned property, the bus trip took 15 minutes to get to Magic Kingdom. I enjoyed my 3 nights stay at the Royal Plaza. I would definitely comeback again. The room was spacious for a family of 4, clean and quick response on request for extra amenities. I recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a tranquil stay with family.

My 17 yr. old son and I stayed here for a weekend. I was misled about it being "across" the street from Downtown Disney but it was a short enough drive. The hotel needs upgrading, as my son pointed out the lack of a flat screen tv. As far as comfort and cleanliness it was outstanding. My son who swore he wanted to get up early to do the parks... wanted […] to sleep in because the bed was so comfortable. It was hard for him to get out of it. I've never seen a cleaner bathroom at a hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was great. I would not stay in this hotel again, unless it was the location of an event or meeting that I would be attending. This would only be due to the convenience factor. Service was terrible. Room service was slow and not good. You can put lipstick on a pig, but at the end of the day you still have a pig.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. The registration personnel was very courteous, helpful and informative. We had four rooms for the whole family as it was a holiday family celebration and everyone were satisfied.
