The hotel was conveniently located. We checked in and unpacked. We got back to the hotel about midnight, turned on the heat and went to bed. Around 3 am we woke up because it was so cold in the room. The heater was blowing cold air. We cranked it up to the highest setting (85 degrees) and it was cold. We didn't want to call maintenance at 3 am since […] we wanted to get back to bed. my stay at the Sheraton Suites was absolutely wonderful. it made celebrating my anniversary all the more better.. the room was FABULOUS!!! I DEF WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, in fact i already have... the rates were great..

was just a short over night stay,next time would love to stay longer.and when i come back .this will be my first choice.thank you for making my stay comfortable.

The suites were huge. We had a large group staying in several different rooms but could all gather in one true "living area" that was roomy and separate from the bedroom. Walking distance to restaurants. Front desk people were friendly but sometimes misinformed or uninformed on important issues. I've stayed at this hotel a few times. If you have to stay in Wilmington (not the greatest place to have to spend the night), I think this is your best bet. The rooms are suites and very large and comfortable, and the hotel is nice and fairly updated. My only real complaint is the fitness room. It is tiny, the few machines are always full, and one of […] them was broken last time I was there. There is an indoor pool that no one ever seems to use, and it would be nice if the pool was smaller and the fitness room larger. But overall, I would definitely stay here again in Wilmington. Great hotel, the room was fabulous.

We stayed right around Christmas, so the hotel was pretty empty, but they comped us an extra suite for our stay. I was very impressed with the hospitality!

We were going to the Opera House for New Year's Eve and this hotel was within walking distance. There was a wedding at the hotel that night but it did not disturb us. I liked having to use the room key to operate the elevators. The restaurant was great and the suites very large and comfortable.

The standard rooms are huge and is well worth the price. Nice and service-minded staff. Breakfast at adjacent restaurant not too exiting. The area is quiet, short 10 minute walk to the city center.

This is the hotel that sells itself as the Ritz but delivers as the Holiday Inn. The valet tells you were to park your car, the bell person does not take your luggage. The extra fees paid for a room on the 16 floor are not kept, and the next morning it takes 15 minutes to find the keys to the car that you parked on the road. This is not the Sheraton […] service and this hotel does not deserve the Sheraton brand. The staff needs to Learn how to provide customer service. It is just sad how bad of a hotel this location is. The room layout is very nice, and the beds were very comfortable, but we were disappointed with the dirtiness of the rooms. The rooms are not well maintained - cracked tile, chipped tubs, dirty upholstery, scratched and gouged desks. I come to Wilmington to visit clients in the downtown area. The hotel was nice, relatively modern, with spacious rooms. I had reserved a standard room, but received a king bedroom suite which was quite nice. It included a mini-kitchenette, nice desk area and sitting area. The bedroom was not huge, but decently sized. The only disappointing part is […] that Wilmington has nothing going on in the evening. This hotel is close to the Washington St. Ale House and Mikimotos for dining options. Very pleasant and helpfull staff. Great breakfast in hotel resturant.

Really really liked this Hotel. Once we parked the car, we walked to our event at the Brandywine Arts Festival. Walked around the corner in the evening to a wonderful pub called the Washington St Alehouse which not only had lots of great beer but an outstanding menu! The valet staff was extremely rude. We got to our room and the after using the restroom we came to find the toilet was clogged. The maitenance man came and fixed it but, on his way out commented that was gross. It was an embarrassing situation to begin with. He could have at least been professional about it. The Sheraton Suites in Wilmington was a very satisfactory experience. The rooms (two-room suite) were large and clean, and included a wet bar, refrigerator, & microwave. There is also a LCD TV in each room. One minor nit is that remote in one of the rooms was dead (batteries likely). In order to use the elevator to the upper floors, one must insert […] their room key. This is a nice security feature that keeps non-guests from wondering into the guest room areas. The location is in the business office area and is reasonable. The lobby is nicely appointed, and the full service lounge/restaurant appears to be nice (didn't eat there). The room was really nice. Very comfortable beds. It's so nice to be able to close the door between the bedroom and the living room. The pool was VERY cold. Downtown Wilmington is dead. Don't expect any help from hotel staff ever! There was not anyone to assist us (not even hold the heavy door open) when we arrived. We were left to maneuver the luggage […] cart up the ramp with an infant and a preschooler. No assistance when we left the hotel either. No cancellations allowed. I accidentally made the same reservation twice. I canceled one of the reservations immediately (2 weeks before our travel dates), but because of the no cancellation policy we ended up paying double for two hotel rooms. Lisätietoja

I have stayed at a couple hotels in Wilmington due to a case I have there. I like Sheraton Suites best by far -- the rooms are large and comfortable, particularly if you are going to be doing a lot of work in your room. The only thing that I did not like is that the hotel food was not very good. I did not really leave my room much, because I was busy […] preparing for a hearing and also don't feel like the surrounding area is all that safe at night, so I ordered room service and was pretty disappointed with the quality of the food each time. Our stay at the Sheraton was GREAT! The staff was very professional & helpful .. especially the Bartender Debbie!!! She was very friendly & made our evening a nice one! The room was clean, spacious & very well worth the money we paid! We were traveling with our dog and no plans to need a hotel for the night. When those plans changed, Hotels.com found this hotel. We were looking for a 4 or 5 star but none were available...Sheraton did a good job for us. The garage is impossibly small so be careful entering and leaving. Service was fine but the food...not at all like described in the […] menu. If traveling w a dog, be forewarned that you cannot leave the dog alone to go to a meeting or grab a bite to eat. It's a decent hotel in a horrible city. The hallways are a bit run down, but the rooms are very nice and in good condition. Compared to the downtown Doubletree, which is downright scary, and the DuPont, which is outrageously overpriced, this is as good one can hope for in Wilmington, DE, the land of low expectations.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The building is very secure with guests using thier key cards to opperate the elevators and the gates to the parking garage. The suite was very comfortable. there was a wet bar with a microwave, fridge and coffe maker. The views on the square were very appealing. The best asset was the bed and linens. […] The level of luxury and comfort was the best I have ever experienced at any hotel or resort. The hotel was located just blocks from The Grand theatre where we went to see a show. I noticed other venues and restaraunts close by as well. We would absolutely return to this hotel. Lisätietoja

The hotel was pleasant and clean. The service was good. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced. The only drawback was the underground garage, which was incredibly tight, even for a mid-size sedan. Lots of wedding receptions there, so the hotel must be well-respected locally.

The lobby was small but well appointed with friendly, helpful staff. My only "complaint" about the hotel was the pool. The room it was in and it were much cooler than I expected and the pool was only a lap pool, 3' all the way across. Not a huge deal considering it is on the 2nd floor, but still. Our room was a very clean and spacious. For the price […] we paid, we have had significantly smaller spaces that weren't as nice. The bed was large and comfortable with several layers on top we didn't need thanks to a end of summer heat wave that the air conditioner was more than capable of handling. This hotel is fairly close to Rt. 95 and since we were there to visit family in Newark, DE this was really handy. There are some "sketchy" neighborhoods a few blocks behind the hotel, so if you are on foot, stay to the main streets. We walked through these on a Saturday morning and had no issues, but were recommended by a passerby on one of the major roads to stick to Market St. and other "larger roads" if we were going to walk around in the city. You are within walking distance of some cool restaurants. I personally enjoyed the Ale House a few blocks away for a quick dinner that was very well prepared and quite tasty. The Riverfront / River walk area is very nice with some trendy restaurants and a boardwalk along the river. This area is also home to the Amtrak/Septa station so if train travel is something you need, it's not super close, but it is not too far away. Overall we really enjoyed the room and the hotel. They do charge for parking and the lot is tiny and tight. The last night we were there we had to park in an adjacent lot because there were two weddings going on at the same time and the hotel lot was full. I was just in town for one night to do research at Winterthur and the staff at the front desk was incredibly helpful in securing me a taxi to and from the museum. The room was enormous and very clean. There was a decent food and bar scene just around the block. All-in-all it was a decent stay.

The Shearaton Suites in Wilmington, DE is located near the center of the city and within relatively easy walking distance to the Courthouses and major office buildings. It is also close to several good restaurants. The hotel itself is comfortable and clean and includes a lounge available to upgraded guests and an adequate restaurant and bar. We attended a wedding at the Rockwood. This hotel was so convenient and close to everything. If ever in Wilmington, DE definitely would stay here again.

The hotel is very good. The only negative was that upon arrival in the isolated area reserved for guest arrival, in front of the hotel, we were met by a vagrant who insisted on being given $5.00. We remained in the car as we felt somewhat threatened. This episode lasted what seemed to be a long time before he finally moved on.

The extra room or 'suite' was well worth it.We will return to this hotel every trip we make to Wilmington, Delaware The desk personnel was terrific, as was the housekeeping night staff. And a hotel executive went way out of his way to return a very small item left in the suite. NRK

We have stayed here a number of times and always had a good experience. Free internet has been added to the basic amenities.

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The elevators were SLOW!!!! The Sofa in our room was gross.... I hated even touching the cushions when we had to take them off to make the sofa-bed. The actual beds were really comfortable... unfortunately, the sofa-bed was not.

This hotel was better than I had expected. People were very accommodating. The only negative was they charge $16.00 to park in their garage. As guests we thought we should not have to pay it but it's a small negative. I will probably go again next year for the Italian Festival in Wilmington DE.
