Etenkin aamiainen terassilla oli miellyttävä. Aamiainen ei ollut niin runsas kuin perinteisesti eurooppalaisissa hotelleissa, mutta kuitenkin parempi kuin italialaishotelleissa keskimäärin. We stayed with our family of four for 3 days. The room was very clean, and size was ok even w 4 beds and luggage. Airconditioning kept the room lovely and cool in July heat. Rome Garden Hotel on kohtuullisen kävelymatkan päässä Policlinico- metroasemalta. Hinta-laatusuhde on kohdallaan ja siten myöskään aivan lähellä ei ole paljoa nähtävyyksiä/liikkeitä/ravintoloita, mutta läheltä n. 2 korttelia löytyy kuitenkin hyviä ruokapaikkoja joissa kävisin kyllä uudestaan. Olimme mieheni kanssa Roomassa pääsiäisviikolla 2011, ja majoituimme Rome Garden Hotellissa. Hotelli sijaitsee n. 2km Terminin asemalta, mikä ei ole matka eikä mikään kulkea jalankaan, joten saavuttuamme Fiumuchinon asemalle, menimme junalla Terminiin, ja Terminin asemalta kävelimme matkalaukkuinemme hotellille. Taksia emme koko lomamme aikana käyttänyt […] (lähtöpäivää lukuunottamatta) vaan liikuimme pääsääntöisesti jalan, tai turistibussilla aina Terminin asemalta nähtävyyksille. Hotellin ohi menee myös paikallisbusseja todella näppärästi joka suuntaan. Terminille menevään bussiin pääsi kävelemällä pari sataa metriä keskustasta poispäin, ja ylittämällä tien, ostamalla lipun Tabacchi kioskista ja jäämällä sen kohdalla sijaitsevalle pysäkille. Busseja meni n. 10min välein. Hotellilla itsessään emme paljon aikaa viettänyt kun yöaikaan. Huone oli kuitenkin tilava ja siisti. Although we were not close to the city center, the bus system and metro help to get anywhere u want to go in 15 to 20 min. The hotel itself was very clean and staff very helpful. The breakfast was good although it was more like a continental breakfast. The area of the hotel is by a few embassies so we felt safe.

The hotel is pleasant, rooms are very small, the shower is tiny, my husband hardly fit in there. Service is great, breakfast basic. Nice garden area. Location is not too bad, Bus about 5 min walk, metro 15 min walk, but not much around for food and shopping.

My only complaint is that like most hotels in Europe they all charge for Internet service. This was very expensive for our tech savy family we needed 5 devices (2 Ipads and 3 Iphones) 2 teenagers that kept status updates re face book, my wife plotting the next days tours, and a family blog. My point here is that these hotels don't get this and it will […] be more and more typical and charging for internet will eventually be eliminated. I had to purchase 4 internet uses at each cost per 24 hours. (each internet usage voucher was good for only 1 device) It got quite expensive. The hotel is two metro stations from Termini (central station) and a 10 minute walk from the metro station away. It is only 5 minutes from several bus lines and a tram line that can get you around efficiently as well. A cab from Termini to the hotel costs about 8 euros without luggage. The hotel has very friendly staff, and is overall in a good location. […] It is also just opposite a truly excellent and cheap italian restaurant ("La Breccia") in the via reggio emilia. The hotel was somewhat noisy (we could hear other people talk in front of the room. The parking lot and a nearby construction work (as of early January 2011) were sometimes a little disturbing in the mornings, but bearable. Also the room service was only mediocre - we stayed a week and they didn't renew the toilet paper and paper tissues until it was completely used up... The breakfast buffet is very basic. Nevertheless, overall, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel very much. The hotel itself is just beautiful and the rooms are modern and stylish and have international satellite TV. Rome Garden Hotel was a very charming hotel, our villa type room was clean with modern furnishings. The Bed and pillows was extremely comfortable. Buffet Breakfast was okay, couple of cereals, juices, croissants and pastries, cold meats, cheese and bread etc.good enough to fill us up until lunch. The hotel is not in the center of the tourist attractions but only a 2 block walk to the bus stop which takes you into the main attractions in a very short time. Do not allow the location to put you off this hotel, it is very reasonably priced and rooms have been renovated and very modern compared to the old style Roman hotel rooms. We stayed at the Rome Garden Inn for the last night of a 2 week trip to Italy. We were returning to Rome for a final night before flying out of FCO. After arriving at the train station, we had intended to drop our luggage off at the hotel and then make a final visit to some of our favorite sights. The hotel is on the bus line, but it's a good 15 minutes […] away from the central part of town where most of the action is. We caught a bus easily enough on our way out, but finding one on the way home later in the evening proved to be challening. If you intend to be out all day and not return to your hotel at all, this isn't a major hurdle, but I wouldn't recommend it if you plan to make frequent pit stops during the day. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel also offers a private car service to the airport. It's a flat fee of 40 Euro to take a taxi to the airport, but you are very likely to be charged extra for baggage (this happened to us on our way into Rome the first time). For 60 Euro, you have a clean private vehicle and a very helpful driver--and no hidden costs. All in all, I'd give this a 3.5. Our room was quite large.
