We thought the carpets were soiled. My husband has allergies and he was bothered by the condition of the carpet because he felt that was where his allergies were coming from. The bed spread also was not clean. We also had trouble with the microwave and coffee pot because the plug was loose. "An okay place to stay."
I booked this hotel even after reading some of the reviews and I have to say that thank goodness for a GPS or I would never have found the place. You have to drive through a very industrial kind of shabby looking area to get to this and a couple of other hotels that appear to be near the highway, but have no direct way of getting there. It was almost […] as difficult getting back to the highway the next morning. The desk clerk was okay but nothing special. The room looked good but the sliding closet door was open when when I arrived and it took me about 5 minutes of tugging and pulling to get it closed. The heater was very hard to regulate and I was either cold or hot all night, never comfortable and had to keep getting up to turn it up or down. "what a great place to stay!"
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn. The kids especially loved the pool and hot tub. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Would definitely recommend this Inn to friends. We loved the hotel room & the friendliness of the hotel staff! The entrance was stunning when we walked into the front lobby, we could not believe how beautiful all of the furnishings were. I must admit the VERY best thing was the AMAZING complimentary free breakfast!!! We had dinner @ the restaurant one of the nights we were there and it was delicous as well!! We all ordered something different and every one of us LOVED the food & the service was EXCELLENT!! We were right off the freeway in Ogden, Utah and it was only a hop skip and a jump to Lagoon (which was the reason for our visit) and also we wanted to go to a place that was featured on Diners Drive-Ins & Dives on Food Network. It was only 5 minutes away in Roy, Utah. We went to SLC one day and visited with family. We thought the location was perfect for everything we wanted to see & do. We DEFINITELY will be returning to this hotel again in the very near future!! We go to the area often to visit my husbands family & friends & shopping and of course - LAGOON!! The hotel location, staff, condition and cleanliness were all perfectly great. The attached restaurant was decent, but the breakfast was AWFUL. The selection was decent but tepid -- kept on the warmer too long at too low heat. The cold selections appeared to come off a grocery store shelf or out of a day-old bakery.
