Excellent for the price it was. Nice, clean neighborhood of Ann Arbor near the North Campus of UofM. Buy the room for double beds because the price is about the same but more roomy. That is what I did - alone. Free room phone calls around all the USA ! I liked the simple breakfast too - it was all fresh and ok tasting even if it came out of bags...Danishes were great ( I do not usually even eat pastry). The only negative I found was that the walls are not the thickest! Ask to live in the 3rd floor and in the court yard (front side). While in town try Red Hawk's fajita salad, and Olga's Kitchen! ( I used to live here for school in the 90's and they have been around since!)

The suite was one of the best rooms we've been to. Very big, with a kitchen, sofa, desk, good bed with prober linen, nice bathroom and lots of space. The area was next to a highway but still was very quiet and calm. Pretty little place. The lobby was great and the breakfast there very good (fruit, woffles, scrambled eggs, bagels, muffins, yogurt etc.). We have nothing to complain about this place and would definitely come back again!

I was impressed by the room (with two large flat screen TV's) and the quality of service. Everybody was really friendly. However, three out of four lamps in the room did not work, also the air condition was inoperative. A call to the bell desk brought a technician to my room in a minute or so (very fast) and these things were fixed. The complimentary breakfast was modest, just tee/coffee, some muffins etc. The location could not be better. Both Greektown and the GM Renaissance Center are just around the block.

I absolutely loved it. The hotel was immaculate and the service most accommodating. The room was incredibly comfortable and very relaxing. I plan to use the Marriott Detroit Southfield upon my next trip to Michigan.
ok, nothing special, food in the hotel very expensive, the breakfest area only has one person cooking so a very long wait, the toaster wasn't working very well, don't put the zip code in for gps locations, just type in southfield or you won't find it, the zip code puts the hotel in farmington hills at an empty office building.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and always helpful.
"Pleasant 2 Night Stay"
We had quite a pleasant stay overall. Hotel staff were really friendly. Plenty of free parking and free wifi. The hotel needs some updating and at times, it felt more like a 3 star than a 3.5 star. King size bed was very comfortable. There were no pool towels available, so we asked the front desk to send one up - no one ever came. Housekeeping did not […] refill our shampoo/conditioner. Upon arrival, we noticed a nasty stain on the toilet left by the previous guest, which the housekeeper had overlooked. Food at restaurant was great - I ordered the salmon sandwich and asked for vegetables instead of fries; however, they gave me fries and I didn't notice it until I got back to my room, at which point, I was too tired to send it back. Hotel is conveniently located off the major hwys and only 20 min. to downtown. Located in the business district, but I didn't see many major restaurant chains in the area. Lisätietoja

From the minute I checked in the staff treated me very well. They provided me with vouchers for the breakfast buffet. The cleanup staff was quick and good. The omelettes were outstanding. Definitely a great stay overall!!

The Hotel staff were wonderful. Best cheeseburger I've had in a long time. Quinn was great. Dessert not so good, cakes were old. I tried both the carrot cake and the chocolate. The HVAC did not work in my room however once I notified the engineering dept it was fixed immediately. My only complaint is that the first morning I ordered a pot of coffee […] and got a lovely large pot but on the next two mornings I was brought a small pot. "Convenient access to Detroit"
The Marriott Detroit Southfield was beautiful! The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was perfect. It's right off the highway, so it's pretty easy to get just about anywhere. We got a great rate with hotels.com, plus free breakfast (the real kind, not just some muffins and coffee). Overall a great place to stay!

Booked a smoking room. Was very disappointed that this was a non-smoking Hotel. I wouldnt have stayed there if I knew this. I think hotels.com should have been aware of this. Their for I will not stay there again since I am a smoker.
Upon checking in our room, we noticed that there were a few issues that needed to be addressed. We contacted the front desk and they promptly took care of the issues. The staff was generally very courteous and sought to ensure that we were comfortable. Would definitely choose this location again.

My stay was great. From the moment I walk in until the the moment I check-out the staffs were very friendly, often help or assistance at every turn. The only down side was that there was not anfridge in the room with would have been very helpful because I talk meds that need to be kept chill but there were plenty of ice -:).

Location was perfect - about 15 minutes away from downtown Detroit and about 20 minutes from Ann Arbor. The restaurant in the hotel had really great food and the service was just as great. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was the bed which was kind of uncomfortable.

This last stay was my 2nd time staying there. I enjoyed my stay even better than the 1st. I took advantage of the restaurant for breakfast. Everything was good from the waffles to the fruit. Great spot for the price.

This hotel has a lot to offer including great service! However, if you need a mini-fridge, make sure to request a room that has one (I wish I'd known prior). The breakfast has many options and convenient if you're in a hurry, the service and management each morning went above and beyond. I'd stay here again on my next trip

This was our third visit to this hotel for a family event. All the staff from the front desk to the waitress' in the restaurant were so friendly and accomodating. We did have a problem with our room and the management made it a smooth transfer to another more appropriate room for us. the breakfast was very good as well. Check in was painless, despite there being some sort of pageant or something going on and there were TONS of people in and out of the hotel. I expected the evening to be loud and uncomfortable due to the amount of people at the hotel, but I barely heard anyone from inside my room. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. My stay was perfect!

Upon arriving at the hotel I was pleasantly pleased I had rented a king bed with a sofa bed. This hotel was far better than I could of imagined. The only thing it lacked was a small refrigerator and microwave which would almost force you to use their restaurant. Overall what a great experience.

Arrived late after a snowstorm, but check-in service was great, fast, and helpful. Room was very nice, only complaint was it smelled like a little too much air freshener. We (couple) were concerned because a large family was staying just down the hall from us and was still very active around midnight when we arrived around midnight, but the rooms did […] a good job blocking any noise from the outside. Breakfast buffet was excellent - definitely recommended. After an active day, we had hoped to relax in the hot tub during adult-only swim hours; several teenagers remained in the pool area unsupervised for an hour before staff asked them to leave. We appreciated that, but had hoped that it would happen earlier. Any minor issues (out of towels at the pool, no hair dryer in the room) were addressed immediately and courteously. We stayed in this hotel August '11 and again January '12. The facility has gone downhill alot since our last visit. I'll start with the good - the internet connection was good, breakfast and the staff the handled it were excellent and check-in was fine. We had a top floor room, room key access on the elevator it should have been great, but the area […] had a kids hockey tournament going on so the hotel had about 100 12 year olds and under running everywhere. The place was dirty, carpets were filthy, our room was not vacuumed. There were reminents all over the place. I have a couple hundred thousand Marriott points and this is the worst I have ever seen.
