Quality Inn Tiffin - Tiffin

This hotel was run-down and in need of a good cleaning. You could see the dirt in the corners and alongside the wall. I also had what was essentialy a cold shower because there was no hot water, and no real water pressure. The layout of the hotel was also odd - it reminded me of a motel, really. I have had worse experiences in motels than the Quality inn in Tiffin Ohio but not many. Drive up to your room, low class. Room heater was either hot or cold and ran constantly. The shower had less volume and pressure than a drinking fountain. Half the lights were burned out over the sink. Had to be careful shaving. Continental breakfast was lacking […] but I did not starve. FRONT DESK HELP WAS NOT AS PROFESSIONAL AS I EXPECT... ROOMS NEED A TABLE WITH THE CHAIRS...IF WE WOULD HAVE HAD KIDS WITH US...WE WOULD HAD TO LEAVE THE CLOTHES IN OUR BAGS... NOT ENOUGH BED SIDE LIGHTING TO READ

The room 213 which I requested due to having my 86 year old mother with me was nice at first. It was in a separate building on the first floor as requested. Within minutes of turning on the air conditioner, small insects were everwhere on the walls beds, etc. I called the front desk and was given a room in the main building. Some young boys went in […] the room as my mother and I were leaving and said it was spiders. I was well treated by the staff and they quickly made another room available to us. excellent breakfast and nice restaraunt inside hotel

The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was very welcoming! We had a non smoking bedroom but it smelled like smoke in the bathroom. They cleared up that problem in two minutes! The air conditioner in our room worked...but it took forever for the room to turn really cold. The restaurant that was attached to the hotel had really good food!! We stayed […] the night here because it was cheaper than getting a hotel closer to Cedar Point. The location was fantastic!! It was out in the middle of nowhere, nothing but farm land all around. We stay in Tiffin every year for the Tiffin Carnival. Many cross country teams with their parents come to this event. You would think that the hotel would be prepared to handle such an influx of people. The breakfast in the morning left alot to be desired. These are runners, they do not eat pancakes and omlets if they want to do well. The hotel should […] stock up on bagels, fruit, yogurt, peanut butter for this days breakfast. There were only 2 ladies to do everything in the morning, they tried to keep up but were overwhelmed. The gentleman that checked us in was less than pleasant. I felt like I was an interuption in his day. He was rude to a few parents that I spoke to. The hotel itself was nice, bed was comfortable, clean, and fairly quiet for all of the teenagers that were staying there. Stayed at the Quality Inn for one night last week. I realize that Tiffin is somewhat run down due to the economy, and I half-expected the Quality Inn to represent that, but I was pleasantly surprised.
