Maritim Hotel Munich is positioned near the central U-Bahn Station that connects the property directly with the Munich Trade Fair. The hotel is located off busy Goethestrasse near the Theresienwiese, where Oktoberfest takes place.
Hotel Features.
The Bistro serves international favorites with regional influences. International buffet-style breakfasts (surcharge) are served at the Rotisserie. Summertime heralds the opening of the hotel's Beer Garden. Draft beer, the Bistro's menu, and mingling with locals are highlights. A business centre includes a computer, printer, and wireless Internet access. 9 function rooms accommodate up to 550 people, and a ballroom glitters with modern chandeliers. A stairwell leads to an indoor pool, sauna, and steam room. A small sun terrace offers panoramic views over famous structures such as the Frauenkirche. The hotel includes on-site parking (surcharge).
Guestrooms.
Guestrooms offer privacy due to the hotel's courtyard location. All are decorated with light wood wainscoting, beige ornamental-patterned wallpaper, green floral drapes, armchairs, and small wooden tables. Desks support antique-style lamps and stand before large mirrors. Bathrooms are decorated in shades of gray and white against a base of black marble, and feature shower/tub combinations.

Vaikutti business-vieraiden paikalta mutta oli ihan viihtyisä myös perheen yöpymiseen. WiFi ja aamiainen ok. Olimme matkalla lentokentältä muualle Etelä-Saksaan ja koska lentokenttähotellissa ei tilaa ollut niin tämä oli kivasti varttitunnin ajomatkan päässä.

Bistro - This friendly restaurant serves lunch and dinner from an à la carte menu, as well as a special business lunch in the form of a buffet during the week. Rotisserie - Located in the basement of the hotel, this breakfast restaurant displays traditional decor in rose and red hues with mirrors, candles, and flower arrangements. Guests can enjoy an intimate atmosphere in separate niches. The international breakfast buffet, including warm and cold dishes, serves up to 200 people (surcharge).
Beer Garden - During summertime, the popular Beer Garden opens in one of the hotel's courtyards, adjacent to the Bistro restaurant. Hotel guests can enjoy draft beer, as well as the Bistro menu and a special Beer Garden menu in a casual atmosphere.
Piano Bar - Adjacent to the hotel's reception area, this intimate lounge features live piano music every evening. From morning until night, coffee, bar snacks, and alcoholic drinks, including an impressive list of malts, are served at the long, curved marble and wooden bar.

Just west of the old town, the area around the main station is crammed with hotels and pedestrian areas filled with shops. The hotel does not provide soap. And the soap that they do provide come out of a pump bottle that does not work. The rooms smells stale. And they only give you one face towel, one body towel and that is it. No shampoo, conditioner, and the soap pump doesn't work. Also the rooms are very small. This hotel was correctly priced for what it offers. it's location is very convenient: 2min from the central station from where you catch any public transportation to any destination. "Weekend Stay"
The hotel looked after us very well and any request that was made was quickly dealt with. Swimming pool, sauna, steam room and other leisure facilities were clean and well maintained, fun swimming with views of Munich. Staff had excellent local knowlegde, food in restaurant was 1st class, a great weekend and I would recommend Hotel Maritim.

If you need cheap central location in the heart of Munich then this should more than suffice! In it's prime it was probably stunning hotel, but not sure they have invested in it over the years! thank you (staff) for making this new year's holiday vacation great. Everything went well, very friendly staff and understanding. however...nothing in this world is perfect, a few things i didnt like were simply minor things that i were dealt with on my own by improvising. The beds my fiancee and i were sleeping in were twin beds made into one, but […] during the night...the matresses began separating leaving a gap between them were i usually fell in...but no worries, we solved it by only using one matress. The other thing, i saw no thermostat for the heater, i saw one for the AC...so we simply snuggled more lol blessing in discuise lol But overall we really liked the hotel staff and everythign that came with my reservation. Very close to the train station - easy to get to hotel. Neighborhood was not great, but never felt in danger. Room was nice, comfortable, everything worked. Piano bar was nice, good atmosphere. Restaurant was upscale with higher prices, smaller portions, and slower service, although the food was very good.

Cons - - Neighborhood isn't the greatest, but that's to be expected so close to […] the train station; air-conditioning was barely functioning; carpet in the room was a wreck after years of abuse; shower was low pressure and only really trickled water; room hopelessly outdated. "Everything was great but..."
The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and within a short distance of Oktoberfest. The bar service was substandard and the pool was weird/creepy. The front desk staff were very helpful and nice, although the price to mail a postcard was wildly variable dependent on whom you dealt with. We appreciated the air conditioning.

This is a comfortable hotel just two minutes walk from the station and five minutes from the main shopping area. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff helpful and pleasant. "Maritim Munich - overpriced dive"
Rooms were old and the hotel lacked modern amenities like wifi. Continental breakfast was ridiculously overpriced, which seems to be the theme at the hotel. There are better hotels for less money, do yourself a favor and stay at one of them.

I stayed only one night. For families with children I would concern about all sex clubs and sex shops in the neighbourhood. 4 min. walk from the Central Railway Station was great. The lobby area was like in most international hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My single room had a big bed with room enough for 2 persons. May be it was a […] double room. Everything was nice and clean. No disturbing noises from the rooms next door or from the corridor. Walking distance to Theresienwiese (Oktoberfest area), pedestrian street and Marienplatz.. I travel to Munich about twice per year for business and often stay at the Maritim because it is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and its location is just 200 meters away from the in-town subway (U-Bahn and S-Bahn) and the long distance trains to major cities. The area near the hotel has a few adult shops, but it not a dangerous area in any […] sense of the word. I have never felt uncomfortable about walking around the area at night alone. Plenty of food places are nearby and you can either walk or ride the subway two stops to Marienplatz, the city's central square. Stayed in the Maritim hotel for three nights. Location is really good - situated across the road from the hautbahnhof so easy access to/from the airport/main train station. Didn't eat at the hotel restaurant as had heard this was expensive.
