"Excellent service"
Staff very accommodating. Room small but comfortable. Good firm bed. Wireless works well, without charge. The parking lot in the rear is hard to access and spooky at night. Avoiding the construction materials was tricky.

"Easy access to conference at another hotel."
I was very impressed with the hotel and the staff. It was such a welcoming experience. The hotel itself was beautiful and comfortable. In spite of the lavish surroundings the hotel was not unreasonably expensive. The atmoshphere and the extras were worth the cost. The beauty and richness of the old world style hotel was breathtaking and so welcoming. The atmosphere was so lavish and bespoke pride in the service and the building itself. We were warmly greeted at the desk. True we had to ask about parking as it was not offered however, the clerk probably did not realize we had not stayed there before. Our pet was […] welcome to stay with us at no extra charge. This was so comforting. When we asked about the necessity of making reservations at the beautiful restaurant the clerk went out of her way to find the manager as he was busy. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, lavish and warmly welcoming. The manager is most welcoming and even offers the availability of the pub as a choice for the patrons even if it means you may not dine with him. He gave a wonderful reference to the atmosphere of the pub for its Old English style and menu. He even went to the pub to get a menu of all the brands available. His pride in his restaurant as well as the pub next door showed. The uniqueness of the later check out time was an enjoyable surprise. Having a computer available to guests on the floor we were on was another wonderful surprise. Every part of our stay made us want to come again. We will be sure to stay at this hotel in future. Also its closeness to the mall and other shopping was so convenient. Last but certainly not least is the resonable rate of the hotel. The lack of a cover on an electrical outlet on the stairway is probably an oversight and certainly the only issue we found. I have stayed at many hotels for business and am fairly particular. "wonderful expierence"
A very nice place,the price is low but our stay was as good as any high end hotel.The pub and resteraunt both have a uniqueness to them and the food/service was great.
Great little hotel... convenient location... good pub... price is right... I'll be back.
Don't expect a brand new hotel. It is an older building which they are slowly renovating it at this time. It's a great location if you want to be in the heart of the downtown core.

Thanks to the Brier being held in Saskatoon at the time of my stay, there were few available hotels/motels. Therefore, I did not stay in my usual franchise motel, but rather chose the Senator. "Hotel Senator, Saskatoon"
We had a family gathering, Nice pub with 2 levels and rooms slightly separate for family. Lots of beer choices. Meals exceptional, Rooms clean. Staff very personable and accommodating. Very old hotel with that old smell rooms small but clean. Overall not a bad experience.
"Not bad for what you pay"
This hotel is under some major renovations so if you can stay on the first floor. It is a beautiful old building so you don't get sound proof rooms and some of the conveniences you would get else where. But it's location downtown and Winston's being in the building make up for it. I would stay again

it was under contraction but was just fine stay. Parking is not so good.....ended up with parking ticket...and hotel never offered to help with that.....

This is one of the city's older hotels, and while not all of the rooms have been renovated, the one that I stayed in was very roomy, clean, and comfortable, although there was no view except of the parking lot in the rear of the hotel. It had two queen sized beds and a reasonably sized bathroom with tub and shower.The lobby and dining room appears to […] retain much of their original character and are quite charming. I had a breakfast and a lunch in the dining room and was very pleased with the menu, wine list, food and service. I would eat there even if not staying at the hotel. The only complaint I have is that the internet service was very slow and it took a long time to send emails, and I was never sure I was receiving incoming messages. The hotel is in a very convenient location in the centre of town, and within a couple of blocks walk from all the major downtown shopping area and activities. I very much enjoy staying at the Senator Hotel as it has great charactor, convenient with access to the pub, restauant and wine roomj, and friendly staff. The only downfall is limited parking.

Our stay at the Hotel Senator was very pleasant - rooms were very clean and overall decor was late turn of the century charm. Close to great restaurants downtown, Galaxy Cinemas and Midtown Plaza for a wonderful shopping experience. Only drawback was that our room was located above Winston's Pub (a wonderful watering hole!) and it happened to be Halloween […] night. "Fine Hotel"
Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are sparkling clean, and pool/hottub/gym facilities are nice, though nothing fancy. Free breakfast is always a nice addition. The food isn't top-notch but it's sufficient. The surrounding neighbourhood isn't the nicest in the city, but that's not the hotel's fault...and while there may be some suspect characters […] around, I certainly never felt threatened. Close to all downtown amenities, the Senator is a charming recently renovated "boutique" hotel with elegant decor, 5 star restaurant and popular English pub. Rates are reasonable and staff is friendly.

All in all, this hotel is for people who don't really care about quality or just need a quick place to crash. I ended up in a smoking room as they didn't save the non-smoking room for me that I booked. The lock on the front door was broken, the doorman at night would kick it open for you if you had to go anywhere. My rooms' phone did not work but there's […] a plus, the TV had loads of channels for late nights when you can't sleep. There IS a computer with internet access in the lobby, you just tell the front desk that you are staying in the hotel and they will unlock the door for you. I will remember that next time I'm staying in Saskatoon and need internet access (again, security isn't great). The best part of the hotel is the pub 5 feet away. The Hotel Senator was reasonably priced and right in the heart of Saskatoon. The room was clean, the entrance is amazing and Winson's is a great pub.

Brutal service, gave us the wrong, smaller room that smelled like smoke and offered nothing to compensate, and still charged full price. It was blamed that online booking always books into "smoking" rooms

If you don't want the pomp and frills of the upper class hotels then this is the one for you. The Senator has style, quality and just a general class of it's own. When you step into the lobby you are transported to some where in Italy.
