As soon as we opened up the door to our room, the smell knocked both myself and my husband back. Their was mold on the ceiling in the shower. Our stay was just ok. Got to our room and the bathroom was not clean, it look it hadn't been clean in a while. The guy at the front desk eventually came and cleaned it. He stated on the sign that it was under New Management but that was left to be desired. The hotel is run down and in need of a lot of work. Although my room was smoke free, the lobby and hallways reeked heavily of stale smoke. The coffee machine in my room needed repair but worked if I used my toothbrush to turn it on. I had to go to the lobby to get cups and supplies. Computers crashed the minute we walked in so it took an hour to check in. No toilet paper in the room, no shower curtain and there was blood on the bed skirt. They never cleaned the room. Once we got the shower curtain...they threw the wrapper in the tub and we threw it away.

Upon checking in to the hotel, the room we were given was dirty from the last people that stayed there. Once we got a new room, it had dried throw up on the wall, that I had to clean off myself. I reserved a king size room, and upon check in was told they don't have that kind of room. I checked in and had to wait because my room had not been cleaned. Not a big deal. I went to dinner. However, my room did not get vacuumed. There are a lot of things wrong with this hotel, particularly maintenance and housekeeping issues. The carpet was barely vacuumed in the middle of the floor - trash items under the table - and not vacuumed at all along the edges - there was a good inch wide strip of dust, dirt, crumbs, and general detritus along the walls and furniture bases. No hand […] towels. No latch on the bathroom door. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee or cups; in fact, no drinking glasses at all. The internet was "broken", and after reading reviews from a couple years ago, it's been "broken" for a long time. The continental breakfast was skimpy - cereal, coffee with coffeemate, and orange juice. We ended up walking over to the diner next door, which was cheap and great. Pros: The shower was hot, with great water pressure; the parking lot was large; it was quiet; I felt safe. And it was cheap. I think I'll pay a little more next time and find somewhere else. The room was disgusting !! There were male leftovers over the bedspread ... Dried blood stains on the mattress the place looked like it hasn't been vaccumed in years , I was so grossed out and disgusted I would never recommend or advise anyone to stay here the place needs to be shut down

I would not recommend this hotel because the service was very poor. I had booked a king room but as soon as I entered it felt like a sub standard cheap hotel with unwelcoming view and location. I don't recommend this hotel.

The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful enough, but they didn’t have the type of room available that I booked, the internet service wasn’t working and when I went to take a shower the next morning, there was no water available in the room. Man! Where to start? How about...what do you expect for a room under 45 bucks? You roll the dice and you take your chances. Nice room (some minor mechanical questions), but it was clean and furnished. No breakfast to speak of, (maybe just a bad day).

I was looking for a place to sleep and that was pretty much what this was. Heat wasn't even turned on. Towels were filthy. Wallpaper above shower was peeling and moldy. The staff was wonderful, however, the cleanliness was horrifying and I was told it was due to renovations and the vacuum being broken. The sheets had cigarette burn marks in them, the "ashtrays" for the room were the super 8 cups filled with water, I had to change my remote 3 times, none of which worked, the curtains had holes in them, and there was […] a party on the floor that went to about 3am. I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel. It met my expectation for what I paid but I did get 5 star service from Chris at the front desk.

Upon arriving the hotel was expecting me and it was nice to know there was no trouble checking in, however the room was filthy, there was no towels and it was terribly loud. Well the free wifi didn't work, told the front desk and they had no idea how to fix it. The heat didn't work in the room so we froze all night. It was by far the smallest room I have ever seen. Called the front desk to complain about the issues and got a voicemail , which was never returned. There was dust lining the woodwork, the heater smelled like it might burn the place down, and the room smelled like old mac n' cheese. But it's really close to the airport and super cheap, so it was fine... Though next time I think I'll be willing to pay just a little bit more for a more comfortable experience.

Not good distance to rooms for disabled. At least 100 ft to any room. Do not allow pets, this was a previous owners policy. Though, thanks to staff, we were allowed to have our dog stay.

We were satisfied with our accommodations. It's not a 5 Star hotel nor did we expect to receive 5 Star service. For the price, the room was clean, the staff very friendly and approachable. It met our needs and we were more than pleased with our experience. The Maid didn't come in so our room didn't get cleaned and we got no fresh towels. This would have been fine had they told us and at least brought some coffee and towels. Breakfast consisted of 2 types of cereal, coffee, packaged muffins, and toast. The hotel claims they have wifi but the signal was so low I could not connect. We were in a non-smoking room but the hallway smelled of smoke from other smoking rooms that were in close proximity to ours. Quiet hotel in a quiet part of town (South Portland is outside the city limits). Staff is friendly and helpful. Room is clean and quiet. You will need a car to get around and there is not much going on in this part of town, but it is a great place to stay if you have plan when visiting Maine.

My room smelled like a cigarette.....there was one guy on staff......no internet.....waited for a while.....left and stayed at the Doubletree Motel....clean and smoke free!!

We were very dissapointed with our hotel. I will actually NEVER recommend this to anyone.On arrival.Room was non smoking, but it smelled of smoke, Room next door and across the passage BOTH smoking room. No telephone in room, Wi-fi not working, towels were rationed at 2 small ones, no milk for cereals at breakfast, musty smell in room, cardboard walls, lights are low wattage. However, the desk clerk did his best to try fixing things. without him we wouln't even have had towels!

This hotel and the room were disgusting. It did not appear to be vacuumed. The bedspread had stains all over it. The walls had what appeared to be coffee, tea or soda thrown all over them. The shower had long dark hairs all through it. Both day and night managers were folding laundry behind the front desk because the "owner" won't hire enough cleaning […] people which there are only 2 housekeepers... The air conditioner in the first room we were put in didn't work. We asked to be moved to another room where the shower curtain rod was half ripped out of the wall so the curtain couldn't keep water from splashing all over the floor. The internet didn't work. The room was overall ok. There was a used wash cloth behind the dresser. Wire hangers from a previous guest in the closet, mold on the shower curtain and you could see the build up of soap scum in the shower. The beds were to firm for my liking but thats a personal preference.

The bathroom was full of mold, the shower curtain rod was broken and the curtain could not stay up, the wall-paper in the bathroom was peeling off, the fire alarm went off at 7h30 am and the firemen arrived (some troubles with the pipes..), our room door was left open ALL DAY by the maid after she cleaned up exposing our luggage to anyone while we were […] away for the day, for breakfast: you get warm milk, very bad coffee, warm OJ, cheerios and cornflakes...no toast as no electricity after the fire incident...and they are the only hotel I know who do not have peanut butter cups for the kids....apparently they can't offer that very basic thing due to allergies...I honestly think they can't afford peanut butter!! All this for the price of a night at the Sheraton!!! Insane....highway robbery....but we had no choice...it was the only hotel with a room that week-end and our camping gear was all wet. Lisätietoja
