Econo Lodge Inn & Suites - Virginia Beach

This hotel is not a good place to stay if you are looking for a fresh clean place to lay your head. From the stairways to the elevator the unpleasant smell was simply awful. The room was very clean! The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I needed more bath cloths and towels and only had to ask. It was very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed staying at Virginia Beach and would definitely stay at Econolodge again!!

Location was convient it was right off the highway/right pass chesapeake bay bridge and tunnel. staff was friendly, easy parking. continental breakfast was decent. Waffle house and mcdonalds right next to hotel. area outside hotel was kind of noisey. no pool/gym.

I am so satisfied with the way they treated me. I needed several things and they went the extra mile for me. I would recommened to anyone this hotel.

I WOULD NOT TELL ANY1 ABOUT THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE AS SOON AS YOU OPEN THE DOOR TO THE HOTEL ROOM THE SMELL SMACKS YOU DEAD IN THE FACE IT SMELL LIKE MILDEW

We know this motel had a very poor rating (1 1/2 stars) but it was last minute and only for one night. We had a king size bed and was like sleeping on a box spring. You could feel every metal coil. Arrive late at night 0:20am.Front desk agent very rude.Send me to room all around hotel whit sleepy kid (somekinde revenge) ? ? $4 charge for microwave and refrigerator ?

My family and I were very disappointed not to clean rooms smelled really bad and at nite it was very noisy. Location was the only plus there for our trip to beach. Wasn't satisfied at all :(!!!!!!

Breakfast could have been a lot better bed was hard there were stains on the wall fridge and microwave were convenient good price would not stay again or recommend to anyone

For the over all price and location to were I needed to go it was ok. Thank God for Whaffle House and McDonalds close by. Room I had could be remodeled to be up dated. The faucet was about to fall off the sink. The towel rack same way. The first night the water was not to hot. Hard to find parking. Soad machines were always out of order. Note that the charge you see advertised is incorrect - they charge an additional fee when you check in to cover the fridge and microwave. So you may get a better price elsewhere...

The receptionist was very sweet. The room was clean and neat, the beds a little hard but who cares. The highway suxs but we didnt get lost. McDonalds next door was convienant at 2 a.m. Enjoyed my stay. Can't beat the price.

This hotel never came and cleaned my room for 4 days we always had to go too the front desk for towels. My kids could not sleep because the air condition was not working right. I read all the negative reviews before I arrived and can say now that this hotel has been a good value and nothing like the reviews I read. It was clean, conveinent to everything and the manager and asst. mgr were very pleasant. furnishings could be updated, but overall a good stay.

This place was so bad. It looked like blood on the bathroom wall and door. I told the man at the front desk. He was rude and said the cleaning lady was done for the day. The carpet was musty and sticky. The place smelled like mold. I stayed in other hotels during my trip that were just fine, but I will never stay at a Econo Lodge again. Hotel is older and does not appear to be updated. We booked a room for 4 people, but room was not stocked with enough bath towels upon arrival. Had to go to front desk and request more. Card key stopped working and had to go again to front desk to get reset. Staff was cordial and friendly. Breakfast was insufficient (OJ was orange water not real OJ) […] - only ceral, toast, and waffles and some fruit. Opted instead to go to Waffle House right next door for a full breakfast. This place was a dump. I could not even stay here. The place smelled like a crime scene from a decaying body. I used toilet paper on the seat before I sat down. Thank GOD I was able to switch reservations in the nick of time with hotels.com.....they were great! I would not send my enemy to this place....I was considering just sleeping in my truck...yes […] that is how stank nasty this place was to me...I could only imagine what I would find if I turned on my specto light(blue light) that finds bodly fluids....never again....this place needs to be torn down. poor poor service, scary neighborhood, was promised two twin bed and got a twin and a sleeper sofa. two adults with two kids and only had two towels and three pillows. Surly staff. Was promised two beds, got a bad and a soda bed. Four people, three pillows, two towels. Hotel would not provide any additional linens.
