They severely need to renovate. Would be a great place for deer hunters but not for a nice relaxing vacation stay. We were disappointed to find only one burner on the stove worked, the coffee pothook 30 minutes to make coffee, the maintenance guy started blowing leaves outside our bedroom before 8 am, & the heater was very hot to the touch when on which […] is a worry point when you have 4 young children staying in the room. I was disappointed because it showed 3 stars, I expected something nice not luxorious but nice. This place was rundown in disrepair and not clean. The bathroom window wouldn't close all the way and the kitchenette sink was horrible. My husband was unwilling to even sleep under the covers the first night.

I read the reviews before we left and was a little afraid. I was very pleasantly surprised and my husband said I did a great job. The office staff was EXTREMELY helpful but were all business. When we arrived with our 5 year old, we called to see if we could have a room with the divider wall between the double beds so he could rest. Fay found the perfect […] solution. The room decor is dated, but we had a pool our our front door and the lake off our back deck and everything else we need for our 5 night stay. The rooms were clean. The towels are no worse than towels I have here at home. The water pressure fluctuates quite a bit, but there was always plenty of hot water. No, there is not an oven, but CLEARLY it says rangetop under amenities. We were minutes away from SDC and they gave us a map that showed how to avoid the traffic jam. Had a great time on the Waverunners too. We are going back in the fall. No frills but no worse than lake properties that friends of mine have owned. Walmart is nearby and you can stock your kitchen there. Pricey convenience stores are close by if you need just a couple of things. Lisätietoja

outdated decor, no wireless in condo.

This is an outdated hotel which I understood at the time of booking. For the rate I received I expected pretty much what I got in terms of cleanliness, condition, etc. What you give up in modern amenities, you get back many times over in location, view, and outdoor activities. There are free pedal boats, swimming pools which are heated for year-round […] use, large play areas, and a free game room which, although outdated, provided a lot of entertainment for my children. These things just might entice me to go back....despite the terrible customer service! When checking in, it is important to note that although the room is equipped with a kitchen (note, no oven, therefore the frozen pizza we bought had to be cooked on the stove with disastrous results), that there are NO essential kitchen elements provided - i.e., NO paper towels, NO coffee/filters, NO salt/pepper, NO ice, etc. But if you bring these things you will be fine. The hotel could, however, provide a much more comfortable stay if they were to consider providing these things as most hotels now do. The worst part, however, was when I called to ask for a late(r) check out time. We were clearly the only ones staying in our building, so I couldn't imagine that they would have a specific need for our room that day. Checkout time is at 10 a.m., and Silver Dollar City didn't open until 1 p.m., so I thought noon would be reasonable. When I asked for this, I was told, unequivocally, "NO". Huh? No, "I'm sorry, we just can't do that today, or how about 11, etc" just "NO". Then "We have people coming in." Yeah, right, I don't believe it - as I said we were the only ones in our building on the weekend, so I can't imagine that a huge group was coming in on Sunday. Finally, it turned out that my son left a coloring book in the room that he really loved. When I called the next day to see if they had located it, they told me that, indeed, they had, but that I would have to contact UPS directly to schedule a pickup. Seriously, Lisätietoja

The view of the lake was wonderful and it was also nice that guests of Indian Point could take paddleboats out on the lake for free and just enjoy the scenery. The room was very comfortable and cozy, though it could use a little more cleaning.

The room was "OK". VERY outdated, the light over the kitchen table did not work. Would probably be great for "the guys fishing weekend" type stay! The marina was beautiful!!!
