Perfect location. Great basic hotel. Staff was super, especially the ladies serving the continental breakfast Sunday morning!

If you have to go to Charleston, this is a good way to save money. The motel was old, but they did a good job in updating it. The rooms were clean and the rooms did not smell at all. "noisy, dirty, not cheap"
The place was pretty filthy, eg. spiders in the dirty bathroom and crushed behind the glass of the picture behind the bed. Was kept up all night by people yelling around the pool.

There were so many things wrong with this room, no plug in sink, bathtub jets didn't work, floor lamp sparked when it was plugged in, door key needed to be reprogrammed every day and the vent in the bathroom didn't work. "Not great"
Pictures online were better than reality. Entire place was simply run down. Cancelled two reservations for following week and upgraded to another hotel. Location and price were good - but not god enough.
room had a bad odor and the air.cond. was terribly loud and leaked into the room.

The only drawback here was the bed was basically wore out. It was in a deflated state and not very comfortable. Other than that, the stay was great. Maybe a little overpriced until the bed gets replaced.

Rodeway in Mt Pleasant was close to all of the events near Charleston. Very easy access on and off the highway.
"Excellent location, good breakfast"
This was a good trip, and the stay at the hotel was fine. The parking lot could be lit better, and we were a bit concerned a couple of nights because of some of the guests - but we had no problems. The breakfast was fine. One of the best things was the location and proximity to restaurants (wide variety) and grocery store. Would stay here again.

I like the affordability of the hotel, and its proximity to the city. The service was great. I appreciate the availability of breakfast. Not all hotels offer it. The only downsides I could think of was that if you take a shower during the wrong time of day (about close to check out time) the water is lukewarm, or cold. "Rodeway Inn"
I've stayed at this hotel before and overall I'm pleased every time. The continental breakfast is superb. Checking in and out was hassle free. The only problem we had was no hot water. The maintenance guy stopped by and said to get hot water it needed to be pointed to cold.

Room was good. Could use new matresses, but other than that it was okay. Staff was nice, breakfast was good.
room #152 needs an update and upgrade the room smelled mildewy the bath light cover is cracked and broken too bad I used one of my credit nights for it but then again, glad I didn't spend $$.

The hotel was ok-but the construction/traffic was stop & go 30+ miles. The hotel were somewhat dirty. The washcloths were gone. The TV was alright, but I'm frustrated for TV magazine were last week (ie, not TV channel, but newspaper and/or TV magazine was none). All over, I'm not coming again.

This Roadway Inn is in a great location for Charleston, SC. It is convienially located between downtown Charleston and other great points of interest such as Isle of Palms and Sullivans Island with many local attractions.

we had a great experience at the hotel. the staff was nice and helpful. the only thing that i have to complain about is that the toilet made funny noises after i flushed it .. it moaned for about 2 or 3 minutes after each flush. the safety factor was up to par. it was just us girls bc we were having a girls weekend in charleston. we felt safe and secure […] at the hotel. Can't afford the other places? Weekend get away. We have stayed here before and will again. Great location only minutes to downtown Charleston. Took our boat out in the harbor and to Morris Island lighthouse. Then out to eat. Glad we had a comfortable place to stay after a long day. Home the next morning. 60 miles away. This hotel was in a great location and had a wonderful staff. The hotel itself left a lot to be desired. I didn't mind so much the poorly attached faucets and fixtures. The hotel staff was friendly and breakfast was more than I expected. The hotel itself needs work done. The carpets and bedspeads need replacing, and there was dirt and mold. Room was clean but had a bit of a smell. Full length mirror was missing from bathroom door and the ac unit was falling apart (but it was working). Convenient location and the price was fair so I'm not complaining too much.

We chose the Rodeway because of price, not really sure what we were getting. It is just across the Cooper River Bridge from Charleston in Mt. Pleasant. We were about 10 minutes from the Beaches in Sullivan's Island and 10 minutes from downtown Charleston. The check-in was fast and friendly. Parking was great near our room. The rooms open to the outside. […] There was no noise from the other guests. The hotel is also close to restaurants both in Mt. Pleasant and Charleston. The breakfast was a standard continental breakfast with sausage, biscuits, do it yourself waffles, juices, coffee, danishes, and fresh fruit, but it was perfect for our family.
