I paid a higher rated price for a king suite. Get there and find out none are ready, however , I can wait 4 hours to get one.. so i take a lesser priced room and then get put on the other side of the building far from all. Then find out there is a fee for parking, a fee for internet, a fee for a second laptop on internet ( although I am booking a double […] bed room?) and arrive to an old building with a real old bathroom and just never really felt at home. actually worried if it was asbestos in the hallways. Breakfast was way overpriced, had very little pastries, and the coffee and drinks are not there when you want them.. you have to ask for service at a buffet ( i guess so they can get tips).. just seemed like everything was an add on and they cut you no slack for anything for such an old building. definitely not a good choice for us. OK for the money. Be careful in the surrounding neighborhoods. The bathroom was clean but the wall and ceiling was a patchwork of paint jobs that looked cheap.

For the price it was terrible. I am quite disappointed. I've stayed at much better hotels for half the cost.

My boyfriend and I missed our flight at Sacramento Airport and needed a place to stay that was close and convenient. The Double Tree Hotel was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable (which is a deal breaker for me). The only complaint I had was that they didn't have pay per view to order movies. I think it is stupid that they charge you $8.00 a day to park in their parking lot. They also charge you for using their wireless internet service. I was afraid to flush the toilet thinking that there might be a surcharge for that.

This Hotel is not bad but not great either. I have stayed at many Hotels and this one is not at the top of my list. It is old and needs an upgrade. What topped it off was when I got ready to go to bed there was hair on the bottom sheet! I had a double bed room and there was hair on the sheets of the other bed too! The room didn't come with a microwave […] and to get a frig. you had to request it. There were ducks in the pool but that was cute. The staff were very friendly and the in room coffee was great. We have stayed in this hotel for many years and have always loved it. The problem is over the last year they have done a few renovations including the outragious practice of charging their guests for parking unlike any other hotel in the area. Overall, a nice place to stay. Room was comfortable and quiet. Food in dining room was also good. The hotel layout was not the most convenient; it is very spread out and the walk from 6012 to the reception area was quite long. Close to restaurants and a mall

I have been going to Sacramento for the past 2 years .usually staying at stay ridge hotel (perfect overall) . my last class was at 6 am downtown Sacramento .to avoid traffic I found myself a room in this massive hotel. when I pulled at the reception, I have noticed some suspicious activities and confirmed it when I reached my room. Staff are polite […] and helpful. the rooms are smelly but clean(we changed 3 rooms) gated parking u have to pay $8 per day. internet is not free. for the money you can get a far better deal . stay away from that area. it is just not a safe place to be around in general. Stayed in this hotel for a volleyball tournament my daughter had. The hotel was very conveniently located to the event, food and shopping. The staff was wonderful and very nice they did a great job. The room was not as clean as it could have been. Hair in the sink and bathtub and the extra blanket on the foot of the bed was visibly dirty. Spent 5 nights at this hotel and thought is was dated, but clean- it had heating issues, phone issues and the most expensive breakfast (for wht you got) not to mention it's 6 miles from DT and across a Major thurway to the mall.. Overall it was large enough for this convention and cheap enough to host it

Everything was great except the distances involved through and around the many wings, like the arms of an octopus.The central walkways were indoors, but a golf cart or similar conveyance would have been helpful.

Large hotel with a nice little cafe and very nice separate bar. Everyone was very nice and incredibly helpful. Main gripes are WiFi is only in the lobby (otherwise you have to connect with USB, which doesn't work for iPads or cell phones). Parking as of 1/9/12 was $8 a night and the main street by the hotel is a divided road causing for an unnecessary […] amount of Uturns (depending on direction u are coming from). As expected, this hotel was very clean, the beds were very comfy and the digital room temp control worked perfectly. A few things that I generally like in a hotel... free wifi in room and free parking, both costs you extra (wifi is free in the lobby & conference rooms only). Additionally, this was a large facility, and though we let the water run for […] a bit, it never got HOT in the shower. Barely lukewarm was all that we got in terms of temperature. Great location, next to arden fair mall. Was here for dance convention for the weekend, convenient shops nearby. Hotel food enormous servings for 1 person, 2nd dinner I shared with my daughter.Would definitely come again.

Color and decor felt more like a prison

The room was absolutely beatiful the balcony is nice pretty view:) they even give u gourmet cookies wen u check in! I did valeyt parking only $10 not bad:)

We've stayed here a few times without any complaints. I love the location, right off the freeway and close to the mall and restaurants. This last visit, we were put in a different wing of the hotel though. The bed was old, we rolled towards each other to a dip in the center!!

Room and service were great. However we were put in a room next to the ice/vending machines and maids closet, not a quite night! I would stay here again, just in a different location.

We stayed at the Doubletree in Sacramento because we were attending a pageant there. We didn't choose this hotel -- it was chosen for us. The hotel consisted of a central area and then 6 outer buildings that were somehow attached. When we tried to walk from our building to the main area, we got lost and ended up walking through the parking lot a long […] way. There should have been clear signs about how to get around. The room itself just seemed old. The shower had an open soap box and open shampoo left by the previous occupant. The ceilings in the hallways were low and it just seemed old. The door to the building was hard to find and even when we saw it, we weren't sure it was the door! Couldn't find an elevator, but heard there was one somewhere. We were on the second floor so just used the stairs. I would not stay here again. They charged the same amount as every other nice hotel (Hilton, Hyatt, etc) I've been to but weren't nearly as nice. This hotel was a little hard for me to find because of the busy traffic area and my mapquest on my phone was not good. So here's a clue...when on Arden...if you see Sears coming up soon. Look to the right if you are heading north on arden and make a right on that street point west. The hotel is really nice. I was offered a chocolate chip cookie upon […] arrival and the person checking me in (a female working Friday evening) gave me her name and said that she would be working the shift during my stay and said I couldu call her if I needed any assistance. Once, I got to the room...I found out that the toilet was not working. I called and they arrived in less than 5 minutes. They fixed the toilet. They also offered me another free cookie. Other than that. The room service was great. The desk was nice which was great because I was studying all evening. The room was clean. Even the toilet was cleaned because the bleach was still still sitting in it since he did not flush right. The people next door were quite noisy, but I figured not everyone else was there to study. If you order a glass of milk, go down stairs for it. It was going to cost me apretty penny to have it delivered to my room. I did appreciate room service staff telling me the cost and not just briinging it out to me since I obviously did not know the cost. But do wear a sweater in the hallway on the way down. It is cold in the mornings. Enjoy your stay. The pool also looked nice. Wish I had time to enjoy that as well as the gym. Last note: the mudd pie is great!!! The spicy chicken strips were okay. Have stayed here before. BIg spacious rooms, wonderful buffet breakfast was included. Would stay again. The 6.00 daily parking fee was annoying though.

This hotel worked great for us. Nice room. Comfortable bed. Nice bedding. Great location close to freeway but quiet. Nice buffet breakfast in a pleasant setting.

We chose the Doubletree Hilton because it was so close to Cal Expo and the State Fair. It is a very short walk (.5 miles) and certainly beats driving. The hotel was very nice. Our kids loved the place, especially the pool. The restaurant was reasonably priced and the food was good (breakfast). I have been to this hotel several times, and it's my go-to hotel if I need to stay in this area. The price is decent and the hotel is nice. Never any problems, nice professional staff.

The beds were so comfortable. The walk to get to your room after a night a drinking was long but overall I was very happy witht he price and location and everything else.

i had to go to lobby and ask that our room be cleaned, it was almost 3:00 in the afternoon and they haven't cleaned yet. The manager was very rude, not very helpful..no towels at the pool, the restaurant windows had dust all over the window jams, i could feel the dust in my nose right next to the table...i was disappointed but would stay there again […] if these issues were solved..love the location, easy access to freeway and downtown...i did like the breakfast buffet...one other thing i didn't like, you had to pay for your own parking to stay and no one mentioned this to me when made reservation..very sad!!! The Doubletree is our favorite place to stay in Sacramento, the rates are reasonable and is near major shopping and restaraunts. Did not like the new parking feature,, had to use card to get in. Was told they are trying to be a 4 star hotel but they have a long way to go for that. It takes more than secure parking to become 4 star. They would definetly […] have to upgrade furnishings and carpets, revamp bathroom, etc. Love having a balcony but was hard to get the slider open, needs a new track. I stayed at the Sacramento Doubletree recently and found it to be comfortable and convenient - especially since it was across the street to the mall! It was clean and was able to relax - except for the large crash outside of my room - everything was alright.

Would not ever stay here again.

The lobby was like other Doubletree Hotels we have stayed at. But that was the only thing comparable, our room was not and niether was the amenities. The room was small and it was clear they were in the middle of updating. The TV was a 27 inch. non flat screen. Which I was upset about because I choose this hotel due to the fact that in the Hotels.com […] online picture you see a flat screen and room was larger. Apparently that is only an option for suite reservations. So we asked to pay for an upgrade. They informed me that would not be possible since it needs to be done a week in advance. They were not even sold out! On top of that, our movie rental would not work. So we had to move rooms. The TV was an important amenity for this stay since I was going to an all day meeting and my husband wanted to relax in the room. When we had guest over, they even made a comment that it felt like they were on a small cruise ship room...thats how small the rooms are. Our second room had damaged furniture and clearly the beds had not be upgraded. Unstable and squeaky bed are not good. I wasn't expecting to pay extra for parking but it was secured parking lot - which made up for it. The hotel was clean, comfortable (soft beds) and was super easy to find. The only thing I thought was weird was that there was no duvet for the comforter, it was just two sheets on either side.

The extra fee for parking is pretty annoying.

The room appeared to be in the process of renovation. The beds were nice, but the wallpaper had patch marks on several walls. The carpet was new but our room had a small TV and the cable was out in the AM. The shower fixture would not turn off so had to have maintenance come at 10:00 PM to fix. The jacuzzi outside was full of leaves and dirt and the […] water was luke warm... no towels either. I liked the campus-style layout but our room was not top-notch like I expect at a DoubleTree. No warm chocolate chip cookies upon arrival either. The breakfast was great but still had to pay $5.95 for the hot portion. The coupon was for cold continental items only. I will stay here again if there is a need for me to go back to Sacramento. this doubletree is over the top with excellent service, plush linens, cleanliness. It had it all!
