Sijainti on kaupungin ulkopuolella, matka keskustaan on ajettava autolla. Muutamia pikaruokapaikkoja ja ketjuravintoloita kävelyetäisyydellä. Lähellä on hyvä kauppa, mutta huoneessa ei ole jääkaappia. Huoneet siistit ja tilavat. Ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta.

Olimme lomalla, kaupunki entuudestaan tuttu, joten tiesimme sijainnin, ja se on ihanteellinen. Hancock Tower nurkan takana, ja siitä alkaa magnificent Mile. Toiseen suuntaan muutama sata metriä ja pääset aamulenkille pitkin Chicagon upeita rantoja. Hotelli oli ihan siisti, sinänsä varsin hyvässä kunnossa, kokolattiamatot tietysti joka paikassa, kuten tapaan kuuluu, mutta kuuma oli. Huoneessa ei joko ilmastointi toiminut tai oli alitehoinen, siellä oli tukalan kuuma. Lattia antoi hieman periksi paikoin (ilmeisesti levyjen nurkissa), mutta se ei ei haitannut. Toinen haittaava ongelma oli wc-pöntön jatkuva tukkeentuminen, ja hieman kuulostelin, että veden kanssa oli hieman ehkä yleisemminkin ongelmaa. Päivystäjä oli kyllä aina paikalla parissa minuutissa fiksaamassa ongelman. Aamulla sai kahvia, jos haluaa enemmän, saa lähialueen kuppiloista mukavia bageleita. Eli: jos olet visiitillä, ja haluat liikkua ydinkeskustassa, on tämä hyvä vaihtoehto. Luksusta ei, mutta ihan kelpo ja hinta ok. Huoneet isoja, mahtuu useampikin perheenjäsen. Jos vähänkin tuntee paikkoja, niin cta:lla (juna) chicagon asemalle ja bussilla 66 joka lähtee maanalisesta noustua risteyksen vastakkaiselta puolelta rantaa kohti, ja jää pois Michigan avenuen kohdalla) (turisti-info), siitä on kahden korttelin kävelymatka. 2,25 usd.

Kokolattiamatto oli melko likainen. Suihkussa ei ollut käsisuihkua. Erittäin hyvä sijainti.

"close to resturants and nightlife"
It was a relaxing comfortable weekend. Did not want to leave.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The room had a nice large flat screen TV. The only down side to the stay was the pool was closed. My kids were looking forward to swimming. The hotel was very close to a lot of shopping and attractions in Schamburg.

This was a Beautiful hotel! very modern and very upscale. I couldnt believe that we had only pd the price we did, I would have thought it to be much more expensive. The rooms had big beautiful windows to look out over the town. The bed was amazing! I might have possibly gotten the best night sleep ever away from home! The location was perfect, just […] enough out of Chicago but close enough to the show we had to attend. Very close to many convient places. We even got a delicious warm chocolate chip cookie upon checking in!! Yummy!! I would recommend this to anyone going to that or even the surrounding area, its worth the drive. This DoubleTree was so quiet and relaxing. The bed was comfy and even though we were in a smiking room, it did not smell like smoke. Great location and great price! Many restaurants around and easy on/easy off highway access.

The down covers are too hot and bulky. I would prefer regular blankets. The heater was either too cold or too hot.

"Hotel stay was good"
decor was updated & nice, room was clean. the pool was nice, but the hot tub was a bit small and outdated. I loved the thick fluffy pool towels! the restaurant attached had excellent gourmet food!

I had a nice one night stay. I drove a long way and just wanted to park the car. But what about dinner? There is a restaurant attached to the Doubletree that is very nice. It has a grea decor, a nice fireplace area for after dinner drinks, and the food is very good. Most of the customers were not staying at the Hotel that night. The left using the front […] door. The price I got was good, I used Hotels.com. The ride to O'Hare was simple. 10 minuted drive. I had a problem with the vending machine and they hand deilivered bottles of water for me. Seemed to be some confusion with the checkin and desk staff concerning the Hotels.com booking and the special price and conditions. The term " third party booking" was used concerning the conditions of the reservation, and Not in a friendly tone.

"Distance from O'Hare"
I thought the hotel was much closer to O'Hare and found it was not. I would pay more to stay closer to the airport next time. The free shuttle service to and from the airport (a 20+ minute ride) doesn't start until 6:30 AM - so for an 8:00 AM flight out, you have to take a $25.00 cab ride. "Nice hotel, not as great as other Doubletrees"
We have stayed in a few Doubletree Hotels, and they are usually of a certain high quality. This hotel was nice, and the staff was friendly, but there were a few things that surprised us about the condition of the rooms. For one, we were there for a wedding, and our friend was staying in one of the special suites because he was a groom -- it turned out […] that the room had a leaky roof and he had to be moved in the middle of the night. Also, our room had a backed up tub and sink, which ended up being a little nasty by the end of the weekend. "Convenient to Legoland Discovery Center"
Clean Hotel with complimentary shuttle service to the Legoland Discovery Center and Chicago O'Hare - the reasons we chose it. Room was clean and the bed comfortable, but the AC was really noisy and they had weddings/receptions booked all day and night the entire weekend, so a lot of not-so-quiet inebriated guests roaming the hallways.
