pool was so dirty that you could not see more than 5-6 feet in front of you with goggles on. Nice pool room.

I have stayed at Crossings by GrandStay Inn & Suites Stillwater in the past and will stay there again when I am in the Stillwater area.
"Showing its age"
This is the first time I have stayed in this hotel since they lost their Country Inn suites flag. I am not sure why they changed brands to a lesser known change. As a business traveler if I have to opt between a chain I have points at and another the chain will win. Having said that this hotel is showing its age a bit. While the hotel is clean it is […] worn around the edges. The room was fine but the shower temperature control valve did not work properly. For some reason it had a dead spot where it shut off the water to almost a trickle between cold and hot. As a a result it was hard to get the right temperature for a hot shower. The breakfast is very ordinary. It has all the same stuff every other chain offers for breakfast with the usual heavy emphasis on starches and fats. Beyond that it is in a good location and a good neighborhood. I would give this a generous 3 stars out of five if its up to me. After all when you close your eyes all hotels look the same in the end. "Worth the cost"
I think this hotel used to be a Holiday Inn. It seems like they were going to need to spend tons of money to update and redo rooms, so they sold it instead. The bathroom was kinda old, but clean. I checked in at 1:00 pm and I checked out at 6:00 didn't like it, smelled like smoke and the shower drain didn't work.

The front desk attendant was wonderful! Very knowledgeable about the area and attractions, she listened to our questions and provided good resources. A very positive experience for our brief stay to the area. Would definately stay there again.

As soon as we got checked in we walked down the hallway and it smelled like smoke.. We get into the room and it smelled like bad beef stew! There was dirt all over the floor and in the bathroom there was mold all over the ceiling and below the sink also the wall paper was falling off .. "Grandstay in stillwater MN"
I was basically very pleased with my stay. Just a few maintanence issues like peeling wall paper in the bathroom, but am willing to over look this because the breakfast was wonderful. The housekeeping staff was very helpful and courteous.

"Nice and Comfortable"
The hotel was very comfortable and convenient. The breakfast was great. The check out time was nice since it wasn't until noon. The room needed a coat of paint and carpets needed steam cleaning or replaced. Over all it was a good hotel. I would stay there again.

Stay was pleasant, beds and bath items were clean and the staff was excellent. The property is well kept on the outside, but needs some upkeep inside. everything went well, breakfast was good, room was clean, everything in it worked. Only one complaint, the tv didn't work with my xbox, so i couldn't watch movies... other than that everything was nice.

The room with king bed and sleeper sofa was a pleasant surprise because of the coziness of the layout of the floor plan. The king bed was in a separate bedroom with TV and curtained glass door. A spacious shower/tub bathroom. Right outside the bathroom a small countertop with mirror above and frig and microwave below, another full length mirror, a place […] to hang clothes along with an ironing board/iron, and lastly a separate area where the sleeper sofa and big arm chair facing the TV were. My wife and I had a great mini vacation in Stillwater, MN. thanks inpart to a great stay at The Crossings.The room was clean, the pool and Spa was relaxing, plus a good breakfast and the personel was friendly. A great stay! Thank you. Duane & Linda
"Nice, but needs updating and could be cleaner"
The hotel itself is very nice. We had a whirlpool suite which was also nice. The staff was great. However, the room needs some updating. The knob that closes the drain in the whirlpool was broken, as was the controller for one of the jets. The bedspread was kind of yucky and old-fashioned. The shower head was old and the shower curtain didn't go all […] the way down to the floor, so the floor got wet when you showered. There was not enough light in the bedroom and there was only ONE hook for towels in the entire suite. There was NO towel rod in the bathroom and the one hook was attached to the doorstop - kind of gross. I had to hang my towels on the doorknob and those and the door below looked dirty. It was nasty. Also, the toilet didn't flush unless you held the handle for awhile and that's the last thing I wanted to do! Yuck! Both the pool and hot tub floors have a terrible bumpy, scratchy texture that I hated, and the hot tub was much, much, much too hot. And coming from me, that says a lot. I am not Scandanavian - I absolutely can handle the heat. I generally take showers with zero cold water and I stay in hot tubs for hours. I couldn't stay in this one for more than a couple of minutes and even that short time wasn't enjoyable. They do have 2 full hours of adults-only time at the pool/hot tub every night, though, which is a rare treat! Lisätietoja
The check-in was smooth, the front desk person was friendly, courteous, and happy. She really enjoys her job. The room was pleasant, clean and inviting. The hotel was within easy access of restaurants, fast food places, shopping, and tourist sights. The directions we received the next day were easy to understand. I will definitely stay there again.

Great welcome, good food for breakfast. The wallpaper border was coming unattached in our room but the room was very clean. We were a little disappointed that the pool was closed for cleaning for the 2 days that we were there. But we would definitely stay there again!

Compared to other listings for the Twin Cities, this Hotel Rocked! It was much more reasonable and was well kept, quiet and comfy: plus located near shopping and convenient restaurants. We were on our way thru the area and just needed and overnight stay. The small downtown area of Stillwater looks charming! We didn't discover it until the next a.m.

Great shopping near by. Suprisingly quiet place that is right off the interstate. Staff was nice and pleasant. We actually extended our stay because we were happy. Good breakfast. nice pool no frills but still nice. Good hotel for the price as I would expect.

The rooms were spacious and very clean. The beds were soooooooooo comfortable and we all had a good night's sleep. It was a few mile drive into Stillwater, but it the savings was worth the trip!

We booked this hotel last minute when we found out the grandparents could be with the kiddos for an overnight stay. We got a great rate, Lisa at the front desk was super helpful, and the AC worked well even though it was 100 degrees out. Thumbs up!

Decent restaurants nearby. Wireless worked great. Easy commute into MSP the next day. Saved $200 by staying here instead of downtown.

This hotel definately needs a facelift. Peeling wallpaper in bathroom, black areas of grout, etc... Old style TV on very small dresser.

This hotel was a good value for the money. We stayed 1 night June 2011. It was close to shopping and eating. Very short drive to downtown Stillwater that has great food and shopping also. The breakfast served was great. Very friendly staff.
