Front desk staff are friendly but the office seems disorganized. We payed in advance for a 2-night stay - the room keys did not work on the second day so I had to go to front desk to have them re-activated. There is NO where to eat in walking distance except Mc donalds/subway, A new White castle was across the road but was not open yet. Bed very comfy. Overall a good value for the next flight out .

All in all not a bad stay, some construction next door with a new White Castle promised at the end of it all. Staff was nice, but breakfast was late of course on the day I had to meet a plane. my third stay here. although i don't ask for much, i do expect convenience and comfort. this hotel complies. It's a bit isolated, but not very far from some high traffic malls, movie theatres, restaurant, and only 15 minutes from downtown (on a good day) or 25 minutes with traffic.

This hotel is run by a friendly staff. The quality of the hotel is ok - it's a no-frills hotel. The hotel works in a pinch if all you need is a place to shower and sleep. I needed a reasonably priced hotel to spend four nights at , while visiting some friends. This hotel certainly exceeded my expectations for the price I payed. The staff was very friendly . Overall I would have to say it was a good stay. Staff were attentive and helpful, breakfast was good, rooms were excellent. Only negative I would say is there isn't enough parking for the hotel occupancy.

Location is the biggest advantage of this hotel and the staff is friendly and helpful. It was great to have the shuttle to the airport and close access to the train to go downtown. Will work well for short stays.

La Quinta is always great bang for your buck. A large percentage of the staff and many clientele at this one are Mexican or Chicano, so there's a friendly atmosphere (maybe I'm just prejudiced; but seriously, Latinos are so welcoming). This was not a great experience. The first room we were assigned had someone else in in. The air conditioner didn't work in the second room. The third room was OK. When we tried to do our wash, the fuse blew and no one at the motel knew where the fuse box was or was willing to call anyone to find out. You get what you pay for. I got a good rate for this hotel, and it claimed to have shuttles to and from the airport. It does but they are HIGHLY inconvenient. They run a 10 passenger van or a mini-van, not a bus like EVERY other hotel had. Many nights we had to wait over an hour because the shuttle runs once an hour and if a huge group got on the van […] before us we had to wait until the next shuttle (AN HOUR LATER). We ended up waiting in the street because there were families of 7 waiting for the same shuttle. The hotel is about 10-15 minute drive from ORD unlike what they claim. And if you miss the shuttle because the last one runs at 12:30 you have to pay a $60 cab fair!!! We saw other hotels buses like Hyatt and Holiday Inn at least twice maybe three times before the next shuttle for La Quinta showed up. The hotel is out in the middle of no-where with only a McDonald's (which closes at 12) and a Dunken Doughnuts within real walking distance (however there is no pedestrian cross-walk to get to those locations so you have to play human frogger along a busy 3-lane street to get to them. Also, the pool closes at 10 pm which is lame because due to the heat and humidity at midnight a late-night swim was desirable. The WiFi was shoddy at best, sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. Finally, the ice machines usually never had ice available and the vending machines worked horribly. I had to wait 5 minutes for it to dispense my chips. The only redeeming factors were: the continental breakfast was good. The staff behind the desk went out of their to help us when we needed stuff. They had warm Otis Spunkmeyer cookies at the front desk. One of the shuttle drivers was a jerk, but the rest were really cool. Vince the shuttle driver during the afternoon hours was totally funny, cool, and informative. Fairly nice place and only 25=30 minutes to down town Chicago. Only issue we saw was they need to vacumm there hall ways more often as they did not at all the two nights we stayed and they needed cleaning.

First of all the lady when we checked in put us in a smoking room. we tried to switched but she wouldnt let me and my dad move. then just i went down there and said fine ill put you in a non smoking room. but in the smoking room i found a burn hole in the comforter with ashes inside it. the breakfast was fine but was only like muffins and waffles and […] orange juice but the orange juice didnt even taste like it. my dad had the cranberry juice and he also said that it didn't taste like cranberry juice. other than that my stay was fine but i would not stay here again. but i guess you get what you pay for. We did the park and fly option with this hotel as we are not from IL but were flying intl out of O'Hare. When we arrived, the woman at the front desk told us that our parking reservation was no good through hotels.com and we would have to pay 7.00/day over what we paid for the room. Worst experience of my life till now. First they were not able to locate my reservation. Finally they were able to find it. They gave me a room that was good. Next day, in morning when I left hotel everything was fine. When I returned in evening, my key was not working. I talked to reception, he activated it again. It did not work. I again went to the […] reception, he activated it again, did not work. He gave me another new key, did not work. He tried master key did not work. He tried metal key, did not work. This was a known problem for that room but the person who was there on reception that time was not aware of it. What kind on management they have? He tried to call manager, manager was out of station. He offered me another room, without TV, and said the earlier room will be opened by morning. My all personnel stuff was locked in earlier room. Next day I called reception, the room was not unlocked. The receptionist said it will open by 2:00 PM because manager is coming. Finally when I came back on that day it was open. If you have young children do not bring your kids there! They have no hi chairs at all. Hotel needs some serious updating. Their maintenance staff was very helpful since our air conditioner didn't work they came & fixed it right away. Almost nonexsistent breakfast. The outdoor pool was nice but really needed a good cleaning.

This was perfect for a park and fly experience. Flew out of O'hare and the shuttle took us to the airport and picked us up without any problems. Parked our vehicle for 9 days without any problems. They do not have closed lot but it still worked out at a very reasonable rate. Free breakfast was ok and the Price Is Right.

In our opinion, this property is not among the better LaQuintas. Confusing halls, smokey smell everywhere, they attempted to give us a room of which we did not request and didn't pay for, the internet didn't function and NO COFFEE IN THE AM!!!

No wifi signal in room and hotel lobby. I feel the free Internet is a cheat!

Fitness center is a small room with 4 machines. Pool, despite 92 degrees outside, was closed all 3 days I was staying in the hotel. Very accommodating staff and clean enough room for the price. Would recommend this hotel.

This was disappointing given my past Quinta experience. It was in need of a facelift and the beds were less than comfortable with flimsy polyester quilts. But for the price and the convenient location, it was what was expected. Good for a quick place to sleep the night before a flight.

The unit is very handy to O'Hare Airport. However shuttle service is limited from 4am to 11pm. But if your flights fit within that time frame, it is a great place to stay....very clean.

The only negative we have about this place is the bathroom is a little outdated. We took a shuttle from the airport and the drivers don't say a word to you.

THE Airport shuttle was on time we left the hotel at 5:00 AM. the home shuttle was very easy also. he was professional and worry free. the cost to park our car there was most reasonable as a park and fly. The shuttle from airport ends at 11--our flight time was changed and we didn't arrive until 10:50. I had to pay to leave my car there for a week. We were very satisfied with the hotel. They even let us check in a little early as we arrived sooner than expected and the best part of the stay is that it's a pet friendly hotel!

Our room must have been 80+ degrees when we walked in. We tried changing to A/C, but it wouldn't work at all. We had to open the window to maintain a reasonable temperature through the night, but that left us listening to planes taking off and other loud noise from the neighborhood. My flight out of O'Hare was canceled by US Airways and couldn't be rescheduled for 2 days. My partner's flight was not canceled leaving me alone for two days. We decided it would be wise to get a hotel near to the airport since we weren't anticipating two extra nights at a hotel. The rate was the among the cheapest of the airport hotels so I wasn't […] expecting much. The shuttle took a VERY long time to pick up from O'Hare even though I called and was told 30mins it actually took over 1 hour. But when I arrived check in was easy, I was offered my choice of rooms. The lobby was very pretty, nicely decorated for the holidays. When I got the room it too was very clean, the heat was good, the linens looked fresh, the towels not mangy. I was pleased considering I had two days to do nothing but wait for my flight out. There was inexpensive vending machines, and a McDonalds within walking distance. They baked fresh cookies in the evening. The "deluxe" breakfast was modest but they had oatmeal cups which I took one to my room to save for later to help me save some money. I made my own fresh hot waffle and there was juice, milk, fruit and some pretty pathetic looking pastries. The first shuttle to the airport is at 4am, but at 4am those pastries looked quite good! It was very nice to them to leave them out for the early travelers. Overall, getting stranded could have been a lot worse had I been at a sketchier hotel. I was very satisfied with this hotel.
