Renaissance Houston Hotel Greenway Plaza - Houston

Probably will not use this hotel again. My comforter had blood stains on it and for the price that we paid, was disappointed to not even get bottled water or have a frig.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza and the Sheraton both nearby the Renaissance. Both of them a lot cheaper.I thought this time we`d like a better hotel and booked the Renaissance. However, the hotel is ok, but not better than the two cheaper ones at all. Old rooms. The blanket had "red" spots. Very good hotel, close to Rice university and the Museums of Fine Arts. Great gym and large swimming pool. Good fare served until midnight at the downstairs lounge. Nice also having Starbucks for alternative cheaper breakfast in the lobby. Great stay experience all together.

We picked this hotel because of its proximity to Lakewood church. That being the case it was perfect. The church was within easy walking distance and the staff was very helpful. The self-parking charge of $14 seemed a little high and the pool being right next to the sidewalk with non-guests walking by was a little uncomfortable. We stayed at this hotel while in town for a wedding. It was conveniently located near the church. Only drawback was the windiness outside the lobby. My skirt blew up in front of the valet and I was incredibly embarrassed. Maybe they could try putting up a windscreen? The room was great. Good views of Greenway Plaza (though not much to see really) and […] the beds were comfortable. Although it was a nonsmoking room, it smelled slightly of cigarettes, and there was a burn mark on the floor. The food was great and the hotel had some pretty decor. The hotel room, staff, and service were as advertised, wonderful! However, entering the parking garage was more akin to entry into a nuclear missle silo. The spiral ramp down into the structure was extremely tight, with very low ceiling clearance. The proximity of the hotel to the mega-church next door also created parking spot availability issues. […] With shows on saturday evening, and obviously sunday morning, engress and egress were challenging. From the instant I walked into the hotel I knew my experience would be a great one. My luggage was brought in for me even though I didn't valet my car. The parking garage was convenient and affordable. My room was emaculate all 3 days of my stay. One day housekeeping even organized all of my makeup on the counter. Hotel was very nice, very clean and in a great location. The staff was friendly. We requested two queen beds and only got a king. We had to be moved, but it was taken care of right away. The lobby area was extremely nice. BUT one thing holding me back from staying there again is when I got home they had charged my account for parking and did not forewarn […] me. Ridiculous! smell of smoke , service @ rest. slow,door jam.

They need to update their TVs and place them higher. They actually sit lower than the bed! The second night the bathroom was making a noise. Other than the above, it was a nice stay.

Everything was great except the thin walls and the loud TV in the next room at 5:30 am.

great location for easy driving distance to galleria area , rice village astodome area.Pool was really heated and great for kids.nice fitness room. Pool area is right by freeway so a little noisey.

We stayed here on a particularly busy night, and there were a few hiccups in our stay, but overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable time! Our room was very spacious and well-equipped, the view from our window was nice, and the bed was wonderful! Climate control proved difficult to figure out; fortunately, it was one of the few cold days in Houston so we […] just snuggled up under the heavy comforter and kept warm. Upon arrival, we were informed our room wasn't ready yet, and we had to wait about twenty minutes while they put it together, so that was inconvenient. Also, two of the four lobby elevators weren't working, and since it was a busy night that led to some uncomfortable frustration. A gentleman standing in line waiting with us said the other two elevators were out of service "every year." (He was a coach who came to the hotel for the same tournament every year) I have no way of knowing for certain if his remark was accurate, but I thought it was worth noting. Beliggenhed og service er i top på dette hotel. Der forefindes de fleste faciliteter dog skal man som mange andre steder ikke forvente morgenmad og internet inkluderet i prisen. Overall en god oplevelse selv om værelserne er af noget ældre dato. Og så er der ikke trådløs internet på værelset - man skal plugge kabel i. Findes dog i lobby området.
