The Cavendish London - Lontoo

Hotelli oln hyvällä paikalla historiallisen tavaratalon vieressä. Palvelu oli ystävällistä, aamiainen a la carte -vaihtoehtoineen todella hyvä. Ylimmän kerroksen ikkunoista avautui panorama Thames-joen suuntaan. Huoneen koko oli odotettua pienempi, joten siitä ainoat pikkumiinukset.

Suosittelen The Cavendish-hotellia lämpimästi. Sijainti oli todella keskeinen ja hotellin ympäristö rauhallinen/turvallinen. Hotellin palvelu oli ykkösluokkaa ja huoneet siistejä. Aamiainen oli hyvä mutta ehkä hieman ylihinnoiteltu. Ehdottomasti aion vierailla hotellissa toistekin!

Tiukasti kritisoiden miiinusta voi antaa huoneen ikkunan näköalasta, kadulta kuuluvasti melusta, huoneen koosta ja putkiston äänistä. Isoin miinus ehkä, että huoneessa ei toiminut kuin maksullinen nettiyhteys. Nuo siis, jos haluaa olla 'tiukkapioinen'. Viihdyimme kuitenkin erinomaisesti ja hotelli ajoi asiansa enemmän kuin hyvin. Hotelli on kätevä ja mukava liikematkustajalle, joka tarvitsee mm. nopeita yhteyksiä rautatieasemille. Ostoksia voi tehdä lyhyelläkin ajalla ja ravintoloita on lähellä myös.

Hotel Cavendish was excellent for various reasons. It's situated next to Piccadilly, so there are lots of shops and theatres nearby. The sevice was kind and on high level. The bedding was really nice and of good quality and the room was quiet enough to sleep well. In the room, there you have possibility to make coffee, you have drinking water as complimentary […] and you get the newspaper. There is a device to listen music from your i-phone and the television was as well excellent. The room was decent and clean. Only downside was that the the room was a bit too small. Loistava sijainti, palvelu ja aamupala, sekä näköala. Ilmoitimme tulevamme viettämään 10-v hääpäivää ja asia oli huomioitu; huone käytävän päässä omassa rauhassa, ylin kerros huimalla näköalalla yli Lontoon, maailamanpyörä, Big Ben ym. Shamppanjaa ja suklaata. VAU! Meillä Superior huone joka oli riittävän kokoinen. Sänky ja petivaatteetkin niin mukavat, […] että aamulla vaikeuksia nousta. Ilmastointi ja lämmitys toimi moitteettomasti (jopa tammikuussa aurinkoisena päivänä huone alkoi lämmetä sen verran että ilmastoinnilla säädettiin lämpöä). Kylpyhuoneessa amme, mutta pieni miinus käsisuihkusta jossa letku todella lyhyt ja kattosuihkun paine heikko. Palvelu pyyteetöntä. Kysyivät haluammeko minibaarin tyhjennettävän omille juomille. Ruokapaikoista kysyttäessä vastaukset kuin apteekin hyllyltä ja samantien varasivat pöydänkin. Aamupalalla maista buffetin lisäksi tilaamalla puuroa tai omelettia, todella hyvää. Kävelymatka moneen kohteeseen. Metroasemat Piccadilly ja Green Park n. 300m, Edullinen ruokakauppa (siis kuoharia ym.) lähellä kadun päässä. Hotelli sijaitsee erinomaisella paikalla, lähellä kaikkia Lontoon nähtävyyksiä. Hinta-laatusuhde oli erinomainen. Olemme aikaisemmin olleet 5 tähden hotellissa, ja tämä oli ehdottomasti parempi. Suosittelen.

I like the area best, but the room sizes were too small for any stay over one night and then not with anyone with you.... We were tripping over one another the whole time..... I got home, and for the first time in my life I recognized how much I took space for granted..... I've never been in prison, but perhaps they can understand....

Service and location were perfect. Room not massive, but normal by London standards. WiFi is a bit flakey - keeps logging you out. Minor issue though for a great hotel in a perfect spot.

Absolutely splendid. The Hotel is great and the location is just outside all of the hustle and bustle. Couldn't be better. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This was great value; the staff friendly and very helpful. Room: quality of a high order. Only drawback: room too crowded and little space to sit and watch tv. Difficult for 2 persons to move around easily. Ideal location if you want to walk to a pub, get eats at good priced eateries, and see central London.

The staff are friendly , helpful and approachable . Use the concierge for reservations you may not have been able to get ... they live there and have their contacts ! Best location for shops and theatre . The beds are ' home from home ' . I usually don't sleep because the pillows are rubbish ... not at the Cavendish . If you require a bath , make sure […] you stipulate .. I had a fantastic large shower in my room , but some people do prefer baths . Room service was prompt and morning room service on time . A wonderfully located hotel that we stay at often. Excellent and knowledgeable staff help with all enquiries. Concierge service is most helpful in locating last minute dining choices and directions to places. Rooms though small are well equipped and the beds and pillows very comfortable.

The hotel was clean, friendly and very convenient for what my son and I wanted to do for his birthday while in London. The staff was very helpful in giving reviews of places we wanted to visit. (Richard/Concierge). My son arrived very late. Receptionist (Kat) left a note for my son to receive a key and also made a special note that it was his birthday […] the next day. The hotel sent a very nice chocolate cake. It made his day. Bellhop (Fabio) was very helpful with directions and helping me organize a ride to my onward destination in England. Overall, I stay was fantastic. The hotel was convenient to Underground and walking. The room was comfortable, clean and had very good internet reception. Top marks overall. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, bathroom big and spacious. We were on the 10th floor with great views of the city skyline. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the location couldn't have been better for our needs. Breakfeast was delicious. We will certainly stay in this hotel again.

I was visiting London on business. The cavendish proved to be convenient due to its location in close proximity to the Tube as well as a range of restaraunts that are open late. The staff were welcoming and very cooperative. My only gripe with the hotel was comfort. I have been in hotels all over the world and I tend to like soft beds. The Cavendish is well located and very comfortable. The kitchen is excellent. It's worth buying breakfast in advance if you are a breakfast person, as the menu and ingredients are high quality. This was not our first stay. We chose the Cavendish because we were so impressed the last time. The standard of service was as high as it had been on our previous visits. The location of the hotel is very good. We could walk to most West End theatres and venues. Hotel was quiet yet it's located in a very convenient location! Lots of great shops around for food, cloth and toys (Hamley's is 10 minutes walk). the only downfall isno free Internet!

A great hotel, well placed for access to west end and theatres, which are easily reachable on foot. Room was comfortable enough but felt slightly small, even by London standards. Staff were very pleasant and happy to offer us early checkin when we arrived. Overall good value and will definitely stay here again in future.

Although I had requested a room with twin beds several days before arrival I was charged an "Upgrade" fee when we checked in. This was a dishonest ploy to pad my bill and made our stay less than enjoyable.Thank you.

I was underwhelmed by the Cavendish and I am quite surprised at how well it scores on review sites. Rooms are extremely small even by the standards of large cities such as London. WiFi is expensive and there sent even free WiFi in the lobby. When will hotels learn that the customer now expects WiFi in the same way that we expect a pillow on the bed! […] One of our rooms was located beside a lift shaft and the sound insulation was inadequate. Meanwhile on every occasion we needed to use the lifts, one (of 3) was out of service and, in the mornings, one of the remaining two was regularly being used by housekeeping. I won't be back. This was our second stay at the Cavendish and we will use it again. This year we were unlucky in that our room was a bit too small and the bed too soft. The hotel did something about the bed as soon as we told them it was a problem. The staff are very professional, the hotel lobby and bar areas are comfortable and the food is good.
